Sat Mar 14 201517:38Kevin Garnett: (Knee) Questionable For Sunday
Garnett (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at San Antonio.
Garnett has missed three tilts in a row due to discomfort in his knee, and his greybeard status could certainly force another. With Nikola Pekovic (ankle) potentially out of commission as well, coach Flip Saunders would entrust starting frontcourt duties to Adreian Payne and Gorgui Dieng.
Fri Mar 13 201519:44Kevin Garnett: (Knee) A Late Scratch Friday
Garnett (knee) was a late scratch Friday, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
The team says Garnett is dealing with a sore knee, which is why he was scratched after it appeared likely that he would play earlier in the day. Adreian Payne and Gorgui Dieng now become borderline must-starts in daily leagues as the T-Wolves' frontcourt is decimated by injuries.
Fri Mar 13 201519:06Garnett (rest) downgraded to game-time decision Friday
Garnett (rest) has been downgraded to a game-time decision Friday, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
Earlier in the day it was reported that Garnett would play Friday, and Zgoda notes that he thinks coach Flip Saunders is just being coy about Garnett's status. Consider him probable for now, and hopefully we will get an update before tip-off.
Fri Mar 13 201513:21Garnett will play Friday against Oklahoma City
Garnett will play Friday against Oklahoma City, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Garnett has rested since Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, but he'll return to action and will likely supplant Adreian Payne in the starting lineup. With Nikola Pekovic (ankle) questionable, Garnett could see a few extra minutes, though the Wolves will continue to closely monitor the veteran's workload.

Garnett (rest) will take a seat Wednesday in Phoenix.
Since rejoining the Timberwolves at the trade deadline, Garnett's sole absence doubled as the front end of a back-to-back set. Although such a scenario isn't in play at the moment, Wednesday's DNP appears to be strategic rest. Adreian Payne will get the nod at power forward in Garnett's stead.
Wed Mar 11 201515:58Garnett (rest) may be held out of Wednesday's game
Garnett (rest) may be held out of Wednesday's game, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
While Flip Saunders did not confirm whether or not Garnett will be available, he noted that the team will continue to be cautious with the veteran. Per Zgoda, that's an indication that Garnett could be held out Wednesday. More details will be available closer to game-time.
Mon Mar 9 201521:25Garnett (rest) will not play Monday against Clippers
Garnett (rest) will not play Monday against the Clippers, Dan Woike of the OC Register reports.
Garnett will get a night off after playing 20-plus minutes in each of the Wolves' last three games. As a result, Gorgui Dieng should slide back into the starting lineup alongside Nikola Pekovic.

Garnett started at power forward and scored 12 points with three rebounds in 22 minutes in Monday's loss to the Clippers
Garnett is averaging 18.6 minutes when he plays for the T-Wolves. He'll sit out some back-to-back games, but it looks like he'll average about the same minutes as when in Brooklyn but make take more shots (13.5 shots per 36 minutes in Minnesota vs. 11.6 shots per game in Brooklyn).

Garnett (rest) was ejected from Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, but not before recording six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, three steals, and two assists in 15 minutes.
Frustration overflowed after committing three fouls in the span of 1:55 early in the third quarter, forcing Garnett to slam the ball on the court and pick up his second technical foul of the contest. Expect him to take the court Monday versus the Clippers, though, as the Timberwolves have only two games on the schedule in the next six days.
Sat Feb 28 201519:58Garnett (rest) will start Saturday's contest versus Grizzlies
Garnett (rest) will start Saturday's contest versus the Grizzlies.
After sitting out Friday in order to rest, Garnett will make his second appearance since returning to the Timberwolves. During the first Wednesday, he put up five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 19 minutes.
Fri Feb 27 201519:05Garnett (rest) will not play in Friday's game against Bulls
Garnett (rest) will not play in Friday's game against the Bulls, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Garnett will rest Friday, so it seems reasonable to assume that he'll likely be available when the Timberwolves face the Grizzlies on Saturday, considering that he usually only plays one of the two back-to-back games.

Garnett (rest) is considered questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Garnett was present at morning shootaround but he told reporters he's unsure if he'll take the court Friday night. "We'll see, we'll see. If not tonight, definitely tomorrow," Garnett said. "The thing is here is the long haul and the bigger picture here and trying to be productive." Garnett played 19 minutes Wednesday against the Wizards, finishing with five points, eight rebounds and two blocks. If he's held out of action Friday, Gorgui Dieng will likely return to the starting lineup.

Minnesota head coach Flip Saunders said he expects Garnett to play anywhere from 15 to 21 minutes per game and remains open, but not committed, to playing him in back-to-back games, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The T-Wolves have back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, so we'll get a better feel for how he'll be used then. However, it looks like Saunders is less concerned about giving him set rest than coaches were in Brooklyn.

Garnett scored five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 FT) with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 19 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Wizards.
It was an emotional, and successful, homecoming for Garnett, whose primary job in Minnesota will be to mentor young phenom Andrew Wiggins rather than supply the kind of stats he did in his heyday.

Garnett will start in his Timberwolves debut Wednesday against Washington, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
While Flip Saunders hasn't released a full starting lineup, he confirmed Tuesday that Garnett will start, which likely pushes Adreian Payne back to the bench. On most nights with the Nets, Garnett played between 15 and 20 minutes, and he'll likely step into a similar role with Minnesota, regardless of whether he remains in the starting lineup past Wednesday's game. The veteran's offensive production has slowed considerably, but he remains a productive per-minute rebounder.
Thu Feb 19 201521:45Garnett won't make debut for Minnesota until Wednesday
Garnett won't make his debut for Minnesota until Wednesday, head coach Flip Saunders told Fox Sports North. The T-Wolves also want to sign him to a two-year extension, the Associated Press reports.
Garnett, who was traded to Minnesota from Brooklyn for Thaddeus Young, will miss two games as a result. It's not clear if he'll start or come off the bench or how many minutes he'll get, but giving him two games off may signal the T-Wolves are prepared to give him rest to keep him healthy.
Thu Feb 19 201514:44Kevin Garnett: Returning To Minnesota
Garnett waived his no-trade clause and was dealt to the Timberwolves on Thursday in exchange for Thaddeus Young, David Aldridge of TNT reports.
From purely a basketball perspective, the trade probably doesn't help Minnesota, but it brings back the best player in franchise history. Garnett spent 12 seasons with the Timberwolves, making 10 All-Star teams and averaging 22.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 blocks over a five-year peak. At this point in his career, the 38-year-old is a shell of his former self, but he's started 42 games this season and provided dependable rebounding numbers (6.8 per game) in just over 20 minutes per game. Garnett will likely come off the bench in Minnesota and could serve in more of a mentor's role with the team well out of playoff contention.

Garnett played just 14 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Grizzlies, posting two points (1-3 FG), three rebounds and two blocked shots.
Garnett was playing in the second of back-to-back games, so it's not surprising he played such a small amount of minutes. Considering he's recorded less than 20 minutes in six of his last seven games, he remains a questionable source of points and rebounds, so only keep an eye on him in deeper leagues.

Garnett (rest) returned to action Monday against the Bucks and posted six points, three rebounds, one steal, and one block in 13 minutes of action.
Garnett has been given the occasional rest throughout the season, and signs point to that continuing heading into the All-Star break. He's averaging 6.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 steals per game this season, and his value is limited to deep leagues only.

Garnett will sit out Saturday's contest at Washington in order to rest, Newsday reports.
The Nets are in the middle of a four games in five nights stretch, so there's little surprise that Garnett the greybeard is taking a seat. Coach Lionel Hollins could opt for the same strategy during an upcoming back-to-back set Monday and Tuesday, but in any case, he'll turn to Brook Lopez with Garnett out of the lineup.
