Casspi will miss his sixth straight game as he recovers from a bone bruise in his left knee. On the season, he's averaging 8.2 points and 3.4 assists in 18.6 minutes.
Wed Dec 17 201421:27Casspi (knee) doubtful for Thursday's matchup with Bucks
Casspi (knee) is doubtful for Thursday's matchup with the Bucks, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Casspi seems poised to miss his sixth straight game, as his participation in Wednesday's shootaround certainly wasn't encouraging. Rudy Gay (Achilles) will once again have to take on heavy minutes at the three as a result.
Wed Dec 17 201417:03Casspi (knee) limited during Wednesday's session
Casspi (knee) was limited during Wednesday's session, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Casspi, who has a bone bruise in his left knee, has not played since Dec. 6, missing five straight contests. His low activity level at Wednesday's session doesn't exactly bode well for his status leading up to Thursday's matchup with the Bucks.
Tue Dec 16 201420:40Casspi (knee) ruled out for Tuesday's game
Casspi (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham reports.
He was doubtful for Tuesday's game, so this is not surprising. Casspi is dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee, and will miss a fifth straight game because of it.
Mon Dec 15 201421:39Casspi (knee) doubtful for Tuesday's game versus Thunder
Casspi (knee) is doubtful for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder, the Kings' official site reports.
Casspi's bone bruise in his left knee has resulted in four consecutive DNPs, and a fifth is all but assured at this point. As a result, a definite return date is eluding the wing, allowing Derrick Williams a more permanent role in the Kings' forward rotation.
Sat Dec 13 201422:02Casspi said left knee still hurting
Casspi, who will not play Saturday against Detroit, said his left knee is still hurting, Cowbell Kingdom reports.
Casspi had been considered probable for Saturday's matchup, but he was scratched after his pregame warmup. "I don't know, it's still hurting," Casspi said. "We did an MRI the other day to try and see how it is. There's inflammation underneath the bone. Every time I try to push off or start running, it hurts like a knife." That certainly doesn't sound good, but for now Casspi remains day-to-day.

Casspi (left knee) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
Casspi was able to participate in portions of Friday's practice and was expected to play Saturday, but that is no longer the case. It's possible that he aggravated the injury, but a more likely explanation is that the Kings simply wanted to be cautious with him and give him a few extra days to heal. Sacramento's next game is Tuesday.

Casspi (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's game against the Pistons, The Sacramento Bee reports.
Casspi missed Thursday's game with a left knee bone contusion but managed to participate in portions of Friday's practice. He's averaging 18.6 minutes on the court this season and will likely play around that same total Saturday.
Fri Dec 12 201417:24Casspi (knee) took part in post-practice shooting Friday
Casspi (knee) took part in post-practice shooting Friday, although his status for Saturday's game against the Pistons is still unclear, The Sacramento Bee reports.
Casspi sat out Thursday's game with a left knee bone contusion and should be considered day-to-day without an official designation from the Kings. When considering that he's averaging just 18.6 minutes on the court this season as it is, it might be best to consider other options with Casspi's availability in question for Saturday.
Thu Dec 11 201421:29Omri Casspi: (Knee) Out Thursday
Casspi will miss Thursday's game against the Rockets with a left knee bone contusion, James Ham of NBA.com reports.
Casspi made a brief appearance in the starting lineup before returning to the bench, but has missed the previous two games likely due to the injury now being reported. His next chance to return will be Saturday against the Pistons.

Casspi returned to the bench Friday, after starting the previous two games. He scored eight points (2-4 FG, 4-4 FT) and added two rebounds and two assists in 13 minutes against the Spurs.
Casspi was effective during his two games as a starter, filling in for Rudy Gay (Achilles). But with Gay's return, Casspi returns to his small role off the bench. Until Gay next misses time Casspi can be ignored in most formats.

Casspi got another start at small forward Wednesday, scoring 14 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3P, 4-4 FT) with seven rebounds and two assists in 41 minutes during a loss to the Rockets.
He was effective with his touches, but owners who might have been expecting Casspi to have a big revenge game against his former club were probably disappointed. Rudy Gay (Achilles tendon) could return to action on Friday, but if he's not ready Casspi would be in line for another start.

Casspi scored 22 points (9-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), with four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 36 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Pelicans.
While Casspi was expected to get solid minutes with Rudy Gay (achilles) out, I don't think many saw this coming. He led the team in scoring (tied with DeMarcus Cousins), and while he's not a consistent fantasy option for most fantasy leagues, you'll want to keep him on your radar to see if he continues to get minutes when Gay returns.
Tue Nov 25 201419:21Casspi will start at small forward Tuesday
Casspi will start at small forward Tuesday.
Rudy Gay (Achilles) is out, giving way to Casspi at the three. Gay hopes to be back for Friday's contest, so Casspi's value is primarily limited to daily leagues.

Casspi scored 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-4 FT) in a perfect shooting performance Thursday against the Bulls. He played 17 minutes off the bench and also contributed one rebound and one steal.
Casspi was perfect Thursday in the win, not missing a single field goal or free throw attempt. He backs up Rudy Gay and plays a vital role for a solid Kings team off the bench. On nights the Kings are up big, Casspi should play more. Unfortunately, there is little fantasy value to be had with him as long as Gay stays healthy.

Casspi logged 27 minutes of action on Monday against the Denver Nuggets. He scored nine points, secured one rebound, had four assists, and blocked one shot while turning the ball over once.
Casspi committed a foul on a 3-point attempt with 25.6 seconds left to play. Wilson Chandler made all three free throws to make it a 105-103 game. The mishap didn't cost the Kings the win, so he gets a pass this time. Casspi is merely a role player with no fantasy significance at this point in time.

Casspi (back) scored 4 points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT, 0-1 3Pt) with 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 15 minutes Wednesday
Casspi looks to be over the back injury that hampered him in the preseason, and was able to give his team 15 minutes off the bench. As long as Rudy Gay remain healthy, Casspi will likely remain on the bench too long for him to have fantasy value in standard leagues.

Casspi did not play in Friday's final preseason game against the Lakers, although he was available off the bench and not limited because of his recent back injury.
Casspi's back injury was minor in nature and won't likely hold him back when the Kings start their regular season against the Warriors on Wednesday. Most important to keep in mind when considering Casspi as an option is that he's currently behind Rudy Gay and Derrick Williams in the pecking order. That poses major problems for his viability this season unless the injury bug hits Sacramento.
Wed Oct 22 201416:54Casspi (back) participated in Wednesday's practice
Casspi (back) participated in Wednesday's practice, The Sacramento Bee reports.
Casspi sat out Monday's game versus San Antonio, but could be able to return for Friday's preseason finale given his practice involvement Wednesday. Furthermore, Casspi's shooting ability could earn him significant playing time off the Kings' bench this season.

Casspi missed Monday's preseason contest in San Antonio due to a stiff lower back.
Casspit has thrown his hat in the ring for work on the wing to begin the season. Through five exhibitions, he's recorded 9.4 points (on 38.9 percent shooting) and four rebounds in 20.6 minutes. However, he's knocked down just 2-for-12 from three-point range, which is well below his career clip (35 percent) from deep.
