Casspi (illness) will miss the Kings' season finale Wednesday.

Casspi was initially ruled questionable to play Wednesday, but he hasn't shown any improvement and will be sidelined with ultimately nothing on the line. Casspi closed the season with a strong stretch of play, and he said Tuesday that he'd like to return to Sacramento next season.

Casspi (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Cowbell Kingdom reports.

Casspi came down with the stomach flu Wednesday morning, so the team will wait to see if his condition improves before ruling him in or out for the season finale. If he does play, he'll likely see big minutes with Rudy Gay (head) out of the lineup. Casspi is averaging 19.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 34.0 minutes in the month of April.

Casspi said he would like to return to Sacramento next season, Cowbell Kingdom reports. "I love it here," Casspi said. "I want to come back here. My agent knows that. I know that. I love it here."

Casspi came to Sacramento on a minimum contract and developed into a valuable contributor, particularly after George Karl took over the reins. He's averaging just 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds on the season, but over the last two weeks those numbers jump to 19.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 34.0 minutes. Casspi is also shooting a career-best 40.2 percent from deep this season. "I think it's a little bit of everything," Casspi said of the change in his game. "I think him (Karl) giving me the confidence to play. It's not a fluke. It's me playing out there and doing what I do. I feel confident. I think I grew a lot." The Kings have not tipped their hand with regards to their future plans for Casspi, but it seems likely they'll, at the very least, explore the possibility of bringing him back on a new deal.

Casspi scored 26 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 10-13 FT) with nine rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes during Monday's win over the Lakers.

Rudy Gay's concussion issues have opened up minutes and touches for Casspi, and as a result he's vaulted into fantasy prominence as the regular season winds down. Wednesday's finale, the second game of a home-and-home with the Lakers, will give him one more chance to produce big numbers for his owners.

Casspi scored in double figures for his seventh straight game Sunday, posting 22 points (8-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes.

Casspi is worth owning for the remainder of the season. In April, he's averaging over 33 minutes per game, 18.5 points, five rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Casspi scored a career-high 31 points (12-20 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) Tuesday against the Timberwolves. He also collected five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 35 minutes.

With DeMarcus Cousins (foot) sitting out, Casspi and Rudy Gay took on the scoring load for the night. Gay pitched in with a team-high 33 points. Cousins is expected to sit out again Wednesday against the Jazz, and Gay (headache) is questionable, making Casspi an interesting stream option and potential daily games play. He's a maddening player at times due to his erratic play. It's generally feast or famine with Casspi; however, he has had four straight games scoring in double-digits, and if Cousins is out again, Casspi should be considered a safe play Wednesday.

Casspi will remain in the starting lineup Tuesday, the Sacramento Bee's Jason Jones reports.

Rudy Gay (concussion) is back in the lineup, but Casspi will stay in to play the three. He should continue to see 28-36 minutes, scoring 10-18 points.

Casspi posted 17 points and three rebounds in 37 minutes of action Friday against the Pelicans.

Casspi has been given the starting nod with Rudy Gay out, but hasn't been particularly strong as a result. He's averaging just 12.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steals over the last five games. While he's getting the minutes to contribute, his weak production makes him worth owning in 12-man formats -- no shallower.

Casspi started at small forward for Rudy Gay (concussion) and scored 18 points (8-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Rockets.

Casspi is averaging 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.1 threes per game as a starter this season and is a good spot start anytime Rudy Gay is out.

Casspi will get the start Wednesday against Houston, Gary Gerould of ESPN reports.

With Rudy Gay (concussion) out of action, Casspi figures to earn a few starts at small forward. He'll start in Gay's place Wednesday alongside DeMarcus Cousins and Carl Landry.

Casspi remained in the starting lineup Sunday at small forward. He produced 14 points, five assists, three steals, and two rebounds in 32 minutes.

The Kings stuck with Rudy Gay at power forward with DeMarcus Cousins reclaiming his place at center, leaving Casspi in at the three. Over his last three starts, Casspi is averaging 13.3 points on 56% shooting, including 5-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Casspi scored 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes during Monday's loss to the Hawks.

Rudy Gay (knee) has now missed two games, and as long as he's sidelined Casspi should be able to stay reasonably productive, although Monday's output might be closer to his ceiling than his standard night while he's in the starting lineup.

Casspi will start in Monday's game against the Hawks.

Casspi saw the start in Saturday's game against the Wizards as well but only ended up spending 15 minutes on the court. A similar situation could occur Monday as Casspi gets the accolade but little playing time, resulting in limited production.

Casspi will likely take Rudy Gay's (knee) spot in the starting lineup Saturday at Washington, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Gay is contending with a strained left patellar tendon, which has left him doubtful to take the court Saturday. His likely absence should be a boon for Casspi, who has averaged 11.3 points (on 51 percent shooting), 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 28 minutes across four starts this season.

Casspi scored 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with 17 rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes Saturday.

This makes two encouraging performances for Casspi since George Karl took over as the Sacramento coach. In those two games, Casspi has averaged 9.0 points, 1.0 three-pointers, 14.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 30 minutes. With Karl liking Rudy Gay at the four for times of the game, Casspi could be in for a nice role at small forward and if he continues at this pace, most fantasy owners will want to take notice.

Casspi recorded seven points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench Friday against the Celtics.

Casspi had one of his best performances of the season against the Celtics. This is especially important when considering that Friday was the first time new coach George Karl was at the helm of the Kings. As a result, Casspi may be in store for a strong finish to his 2014-15 campaign if Karl continually affords him 31 minutes a night.

Casspi will come off the bench Friday against the Celtics, James Ham of Cowbell Kingdom reports.

Casspi is part of a revolving door at power forward recently, with Jason Thompson, Derrick Williams and now Carl Landry all receiving starts alongside DeMarcus Cousins. It's unclear how this will play out moving forward, but Casspi's minutes likely won't be impacted too much by the move.

Casspi had six points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds in 15 minutes as the starter in the Wednesday loss to Milwaukee.

Despite starting, Casspi played his fewest minutes in the last four games. He is getting consistetn playing time, but is only averaging 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in his last five games.

Casspi will get the start Wednesday against the Bucks, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Jason Thompson will shift to the bench as the Tyrone Corbin will go with a smaller lineup to combat the Bucks' undersized front line. The move likely won't affect either players' minutes too drastically, however, and neither have been major fantasy contributors this season.

Casspi earned a spot start in place of Rudy Gay (foot) on Sunday. Casspi put up three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds, and two assists in 20 minutes against the Suns.

Casspi may not carve out a big role with Ty Corbin as coach, but if the Kings follow through on bringing in George Karl as the team's new coach, it's possible Casspi could find his way into a bigger role. Put him on your watch list to track how he's used in the coming weeks. Gay is day-to-day, meaning Casspi could be back in a bench role Tuesday.
