Tue Jun 20 2023 | 21:56 | Draymond Green “Destined” To Return To Golden State? |
Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green may have declined his 2023-2024 player option, but it appears as though he could return to the team for next season. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski believes "these sides are destined to reunite" and that they seek to renegotiate another deal. It coincides with the sentiment new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has shared regarding his desire to bring back the perennial All-Defensive player. Green is a dependable fantasy source of assists and defensive stats, but the 33-year-old has averaged less than nine points per game in each of the last five campaigns. |

Mon Jun 19 2023 | 22:06 | Warriors Want To Bring Back Draymond Green |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has decided to decline his $27.6 million player option for next season. Despite that, new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. said that the organization wants Green to return. The 33-year-old forward is obviously seeking a long term deal this offseason. He has mentioned before that he wants to retire with the Golden State Warriors. It seems like both sides want to get a deal done, but we'll see if they can agree on the length and the compensation. |

Mon Jun 19 2023 | 17:27 | Draymond Green Declines Player Option |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has decided to decline his $27.6 million player option for next season. As expected, the veteran forward will opt out of the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent. There is still a chance that Green returns to Golden State next season on a different deal. However, it appears the former DPOY and eight-time NBA All-Defensive team honoree will test his worth in free agency. Green isn't the player that he used to be, but he was a key contributor during the Warriors four championship seasons. There should be plenty of interest for Green, assuming he does intend on leaving Golden State. |

Fri Jun 16 2023 | 23:06 | Draymond Green Expected To Opt Out |
According to ESPN's Marc J. Spears, the Warriors are expecting forward Draymond Green to opt-out. The veteran has a $27.5 million player option on his current contract. However, Green is looking for a long-term deal, and while Golden State wants to keep him, it's unknown how much the club is willing to spend to retain him. The 27-year-old has appeared in 758 games for the Warriors since entering the league in 2012 and was instrumental in helping the franchise secure multiple NBA Championships. It's evident he's no longer the player he once was, and his days as a routine fantasy contributor are also probably over, regardless of where he lands next season. |

Sat May 13 2023 | 13:37 | Warriors Plan To Discuss New Deal With Draymond Green |
According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors plan to discuss a "multi-year" contract with forward/center Draymond Green. With the new CBA on the horizon, Golden State is in a financial crunch, so keeping its core together will prove difficult. However, the Dubs still plan negotiating a new deal with Green, who averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 73 games this season. The 33-year-old has a player option, so how things will play out this offseason is unknown. But should Green decide to test the market, he'll draw interest from more than a handful of teams. |

Thu May 11 2023 | 10:59 | Draymond Green Provides Huge Boost In Game 5 |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green posted his second 20-point game of this year's playoffs at a much-needed time on Wednesday night. The last time he scored 20 points before this post-season was Christmas Day in 2019. He ended Game 5 with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block on 7-for-11 shooting. Green has seemed hopeless at times going against the likes of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, but this game may have helped him turn a corner in this series. |

Wed Apr 26 2023 | 10:06 | Warriors Express Interest In Keeping Draymond Green Past This Season |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green currently has a player option for the 2023-24 season that is worth $27.6 million. The word going around rumor mills, however, is that he's going to forego that option and see if he can land somewhere else. The Warriors front office doesn't seem interested in letting that happen though as Taylor Wirth of NBC Sports reports that they want to retain Green's services through this season and beyond. As their core continues to age, their salary cap gymnastics will only get more difficult if Green picks up his option. |

Wed Apr 19 2023 | 10:02 | Draymond Green Receives One-Game Suspension |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has officially been suspended for Game 3 of their series against the Sacramento Kings following his stomp on Domantas Sabonis during the fourth quarter of Game 2. Many believed that he would receive a fine at the most, but the NBA decided to give him a one-game suspension without pay that will be served on Thursday. Green is no stranger to technical fouls and even playoff suspensions as everyone remembers when he had to sit out a game in the NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, the Warriors will have to try to get a win on the board without their defensive anchor. |

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (ankle) was ejected from Game 2 against the Sacramento Kings on Monday due to stomping on Domantas Sabonis' chest. After the game, Green was experiencing some ankle soreness, so he reportedly asked for an X-ray on it. According to Marc Spears of ESPN, Green suggested that the injury stemmed from Sabonis grabbing his ankle before the stomp occurred. There doesn't seem to be anything seriously wrong with his ankle, but it looks like everyone will have to wait for an injury report ahead of Game 3. |

Tue Apr 18 2023 | 08:28 | Draymond Green Ejected For Stomping |
Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green got involved in another controversial playoff moment in Monday's Game 2 against the Kings, stomping on Domantas Sabonis to get ejected from the game. With around seven minutes to go in regulation, Green and Sabonis got tangled up under the Warriors basket. After falling to the floor, Sabonis grabbed Green's leg to prevent him from running up the court and the Warriors man responded by stomping on Sabonis' chest. Green was assessed a flagrant 2 foul for the incident, which resulted in an automatic ejection. Sabonis was handed a technical foul. It was a frustrating evening all around for Green, who had five turnovers in 31 minutes. He finished with eight points, four rebounds, five assists and one steal. Green will need to control his emotions better in the upcoming games if the Warriors want to avoid an early exit from the playoffs. |

Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Green will miss his second straight game with a knee contusion and should be considered questionable moving forward. Sun Feb 26 2023 | 15:37 | Draymond Green Could Miss Another Game |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (knee) is questionable ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 32-year-old has a right knee contusion, which kept him off the floor for Friday's matchup against the Houston Rockets. Jonathan Kuminga entered the starting lineup for that one, finishing the night with only seven points in 24 minutes. Kuminga should remain with the first five if Green is out again. However, he's a risky fantasy option, with Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole expected to lead the way offensively. |

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (calf) is questionable heading into Saturday's meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran was ruled out shortly before Thursday's loss to the Denver Nuggets, allowing Jonathan Kuminga to enter the starting lineup and finish with 17 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes. If Green misses another one, Kuminga should continue to benefit, although his ceiling will decrease if Klay Thompson (illness) suits up. |

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (calf) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. He was originally cleared to play, but was scratched last second due to calf tightness. His absence will free up additional playing time for Jonathan Kuminga. He'll be worth streaming in most formats with the Warriors shorthanded for this contest. The hope is that Green will be ready to go for their next contest. |

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (shoulder) and forward Draymond Green (foot) are listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. It sounds like both these injuries are soreness related, but the Warriors tend to usually take the cautious approach. That being said, Andrew Wiggins and Donte DiVincenzo will benefit the most if Curry sits out. Jonathan Kuminga and Anthony Lamb would also see more action, assuming Green is unable to go. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to game time for another update. |

Wed Dec 28 2022 | 20:45 | Draymond Green Available For Wednesday's Game |
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (foot) is available for Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz. The 32-year-old played through right foot soreness during Tuesday's game. There was a chance he'd sit out here because it's the second game in a back-to-back set. The Warriors are without Klay Thompson (rest), so Green could be more involved on the offensive side. Fantasy managers should make sure to have Green in their lineups for Wednesday. |
