Fri Aug 27 2021 | 08:09 | Carlos Rodon Looks Good In Return |
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon didn't miss a beat in his return to the rotation on Thursday versus the Toronto Blue Jays. Rodon returned after missing a few weeks with shoulder fatigue. The lefty tossed five innings and allowed five hits, two runs, one walk and struck out three on the afternoon. The three strikeouts were the lowest number that he's recorded in a game this year, but managers shouldn't be concerned about that at the moment. Rodon has mostly been healthy this season and has been putting together a career year. For the season, Rodon is 10-5 with a 2.43 ERA to go along with 163 strikeouts in 114 2/3 innings. Next up for Rodon will be a matchup versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. |

Thu Aug 26 2021 | 14:18 | Carlos Rodon Activated, Set To Start On Thursday |
The Chicago White Sox activated starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Thursday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The team optioned infielder Danny Mendick to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rodon is set to start Thursday's game and go up against Blue Jays starter Hyun-Jin Ryu. Rodon has been out since early August due to left shoulder fatigue. He is in the midst of a fantastic season. Over 19 starts, he's gone 9-5 with a 2.38 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP. In his last start before the injury, he struck out 11 Cubs over five scoreless innings. Fantasy managers can safely insert Rodon back into their lineups ahead of Thursday's game. |

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (shoulder) is aiming to return to the rotation next week against the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Sun-Times reporter Daryl Van Schouwen said. Sun Aug 15 2021 | 13:13 | Carlos Rodon Could Return Soon |
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (shoulder) could return soon as an exam was encouraging and showed no damage, according to The Athletic. Manager Tony La Russa said there's a chance Rodon pitches in Toronto, a series scheduled to begin Aug. 23. Rodon was placed on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder fatigue prior to Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins, a move retroactive to August 8. He pitched five scoreless innings against the Chicago Cubs in his latest start, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out 11. Fantasy managers should stay patient with the left-hander, who is having a breakout campaign at 9-5 with a 2.38 ERA. |

Wed Aug 11 2021 | 11:31 | Carlos Rodon Lands On Injured List With Shoulder Fatigue |
The Chicago White Sox placed starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder fatigue prior to Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The move is retroactive to August 8. Relief pitcher Matt Foster was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move. The news of Rodon's injury is a bit of a surprise as he was coming off of an extremely dominant start and there were no reports of fatigue afterwards. He pitched five scoreless innings against the Chicago Cubs this Saturday, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out 11. There's no word on the severity of the injury or his timetable for a return at this point, but he'll at least miss his next start. |

Thu Jul 29 2021 | 18:58 | Carlos Rodon Struggles On Thursday |
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon had a rare bump in the road with a loss versus the Kansas City Royals on Thursday. Rodon has been dominant for nearly the entire season, but only lasted four innings this afternoon. The lefty allowed eight hits, four runs, zero walks and struck out four. The first time All-Star has been dominant this season and managers should feel confident chalking this up as just a bad outing. Rodon is now 8-5 with a 2.49 ERA and will get the Royals in a rematch on Wednesday. |
