Chris Johnson contributed an RBI single in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.
Johnson drove in Freddie Freeman with a base knock to center field in the fourth inning, but that's all the scoring the Braves were able to come up with against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers' bullpen. Atlanta managed just five singles on the night.

Sun Sep 29 201312:02Chris Johnson (shoulder) out of lineup
Chris Johnson is not in the Braves' lineup Sunday due to a jammed right shoulder.
He's been ailing since diving for a ball on Thursday. Johnson has also been scuffling at the dish recently and his emotions boiled over Saturday, when he slammed down his helmet in the dugout, leading to a confrontation with third base coach Terry Pendleton. He'll be fine for the start of the NLDS on Thursday, though. Elliot Johnson is at the hot corner Sunday.

Fri Sep 27 201322:06Chris Johnson homer powers Braves to victory
Chris Johnson launched a solo homer in the eighth inning on Friday, breaking a scoreless tie and powering the Braves to a 1-0 victory over the Phillies.
Johnson finished the night 1-for-3 with a strikeout. Kris Medlen and Cliff Lee were engaged in a tremendous pitching duel the entire evening, with the only offense in the game coming on Johnson's dramatic blast in the bottom of the eighth inning. A recent slump has dropped his batting average to .324, making it unlikely that he'll catch Michael Cuddyer (.335) for the National League batting title in the final days of the regular season.

Chris Johnson went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, two RBI and a walk to lead the Braves to a 9-5 win over the Cubs on Friday.

Wed Aug 21 201316:50Chris Johnson homers in 10th to lead Braves
Chris Johnson hit a three-run homer in the top of the 10th to push the Braves past the Mets 4-1 on Wednesday.
Johnson's homer followed a disputed call at first base in which Freddie Freeman appeared out on a bang-bang play, but was called safe. Had the right call been made, the inning would have ended before Johnson had a chance to hit. The homer was Johnson's 10th of the season. He was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts before the big blast.

Sat Aug 10 201319:41Johnson ejected in first inning on Saturday
Chris Johnson was ejected in the first inning of Saturday's game for arguing balls and strikes.
Johnson must have said something home plate umpire Jim Joyce didn't like. The game was delayed for rain immediately after Johnson was tossed, so there was no indication as to who will replace him at third base when the game resumes.

Fri Aug 9 201322:23Chris Johnson blasts three-run homer in win
Chris Johnson blasted a three-run homer on Friday, powering the Braves to a 5-0 victory over the Marlins, their 14th straight win.
The first inning blast of Jacob Turner was his only hit in four trips to the plate on the night, but was the biggest blow in the game. Johnson has been one of the biggest surprises in the National League this season, hitting a league-leading .338 with eight homers and 45 RBI.

Fri Aug 2 201323:28Johnson notches another mulit-hit game
Chris Johnson went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's 6-4 win over the Phillies.
Johnson now has eight consecutive multi-hit games, which ties a franchise record. He's the first Braves' player to do it since Hank Aaron in 1959. With a .347 batting average, Johnson has opened up a nice lead over Yadier Molina (.330) and Michael Cuddyer (.329) for the NL batting crown.

Thu Aug 1 201323:32Chris Johnson ups his average to .346
Chris Johnson went 3-for-5 with a couple of RBI against the Rockies on Wednesday.
Maybe Johnson has an actual shot at the batting title after all. This makes seven straight multihit games, and he's all of the way up to .346 for the season. With six homers, 41 runs scored, 39 RBI and no steals, he hasn't been all that valuable for fantasy purposes even with the stellar average. Still, he's been a great "throw-in" for the Braves.

Thu Jul 11 201323:25Chris Johnson dealing with arm problem
Chris Johnson, apparently bothered by a sore elbow, came out of Thursday's game against the Reds after either innings.
Johnson grimaced on a swing much earlier in the game and could be seen trying to stretch out his arm while in the field. Whatever it is, it seems like it's something he's content to play through. Still, the Braves did put in Paul Janish for defense tonight.

Wed Jun 19 201322:28Johnson homers, drives in three against Mets
Chris Johnson went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI as the Braves beat the Mets on Wednesday.
For as good as Johnson has been this year, the homer was surprisingly just his fourth on the year and first since May 13. The Braves recently dealt Johnson's handcuff, Juan Francisco, in what amounted to a vote of confidence in the 28-year-old. He's responded with a .319/.355/.463 line in 56 games.
