Wed Apr 9 201423:51Miguel Gonzalez allows three runs to Yanks
Miguel Gonzalez shook off two homers to hold the Yankees to three runs in six innings on Wednesday.
The homers came in the second inning. Carlos Beltran hit one way out, and Kelly Johnson followed with another three batters later, though that one probably wouldn't have left any park apart from Yankee Stadium. It was a bounce-back outing for Gonzalez after he was hit hard by the Tigers last week. He's still a good bet to be a useful AL-only pitcher.

Miguel Gonzalez left Friday's game against the Phillies after being hit on the left leg by a comebacker.
He was able to walk off the field on his own, which is obviously a good sign. Chances are the Orioles were just being cautious with Gonzalez, but more should be available on his status before long. He allowed two hits in his one-third of an innings before exiting.

Thu Sep 26 201321:46Miguel Gonzalez goes seven strong in win
Miguel Gonzalez held the Blue Jays to an unearned run and two hits over seven innings to win Thursday.
After a rough August, Gonzalez bounced back to go 3-1 with a 2.01 ERA in five September starts to finish up 11-8 with a 3.78 ERA. The strong finish should ensure that he'll be back in the Baltimore rotation next year. He won't even be arbitration eligible yet, so he'll remain quite the bargain for the Orioles.
