Cincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo struggled in a 9-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Monday. Castillo allowed eight runs over 3 1/3 innings of work while striking out two and walking three. The right-hander gave up two homers, both two-run shots, in the loss. Castillo's record drops to 6-11, to go along with a 4.53 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 130 strikeouts over 131 innings of work. The outing on Monday snapped a streak of 12 straight starts where Castillo allowed three runs or less. He will look to bounce back next time out when he faces off against the Philadelphia Phillies.

His only mistakes in the game were a solo homer to Patrick Wisdom and a two-run shot to Wilson Contreras. Castillo now has a 5-10 record, 4.22 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 121 strikeouts over 121 2/3 innings of work on the season.
