Ethier (quad) is out of the lineup Friday against the Brewers, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ethier reportedly felt tightness in his quad Thursday, and it will hold him out of Friday's contest as well. Alex Guerrero will start in left field in his place, batting seventh for the Dodgers.

Ethier felt tightness in his left quadriceps Thursday, but manager Don Mattingly is hopeful the left fielder will be able to play Friday, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times reports.

Scott Van Slyke replaced Ethier late in Thursday's game after Ethier felt tightness in his quadriceps. There is some optimism that the quad tightness won't cause Ethier to miss time, but it will be a situation to monitor ahead of Friday's game.

Ethier is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.

Ethier will take a seat with a left-hander, Steven Matz, scheduled to take the mound for New York. Manager Don Mattingly will play the numbers here, giving righty Scott Van Slyke the starting nod in left field.

Ethier is out of the lineup Wednesday against Arizona.

Ethier, along with Joc Pederson, Adrian Gonzalez, and Yasmani Grandal, will sit out Wednesday with a left-hander on the hill for Arizona. Alex Guerrero will slot in as the Dodgers' left fielder against Robbie Ray.

Ethier is out of the lineup Thursday, Dodgers reporter Alanna Rizzo reports.

With lefty Jon Lester on the mound for the Cubs, the Dodgers will deploy noted southpaw killer Scott Van Slyke in left field. Ethier is having a very solid season, however, slashing .269/.348/.473. That said, he may sit again Friday against lefty Justin Nicolino.

Ethier is out of the lineup for the second straight day.

With left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada on the hill for the Cubs, Ethier will remain out of the lineup as the Dodgers go with a starting outfield of Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson and Scott Van Slyke. Either is hitting just .210 (13-for-62) in the month of June.

Ethier is out the lineup Sunday against the Giants.

Ethier will receive the day off Sunday following a 0-for-4 night at the dish Saturday. Alex Guerrero will receive the start in left field in his place, batting sixth for the Dodgers.

Ethier is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

The returning Scott Van Slyke will take over in left field against lefty Wandy Rodriguez, as Ethier sits following six straight starts. Ethier is just 2-for-15 in his last four games but figures to continue starting against right-handed pitching.

Ethier will still see the lion's share of the playing time in left field, though he will lose some at-bats to the returning Scott Van Slyke (back) next week, the Dodgers' official site reports.

Van Slyke is expected to return on Monday and should see most of the at-bats versus LHP.

Ethier is out of the lineup against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Ethier will take a seat after registering two hits and four RBI in Monday's series-opening win. The Dodgers will go with Yasiel Puig in right, Chris Heisey in center and Alex Guerrero in left.

Ethier hit his eighth home run in Monday's win over Arizona, part of a 2-for-4 effort with four RBIs.

All eight of Ethier's homers have come off right-handers, and of Ethier's 17 extra-base hits, only one, a double, has come off left-handed hitting. As the Dodgers get healthier, Ethier's platoon will only get stricter, but he continues to mash righties.

Ethier is out of the lineup Saturday against the Cardinals.

Yasiel Puig was activated from the DL on Saturday, but Ethier's absence likely has more to do with the lefty (Jaime Garcia) that's on the mound for St. Louis. Ethier has hit .288/.371/.503 with seven homers in 52 games this season, which has likely earned him most of the starts in left against right-handed pitching moving forward.

Ethier is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, David Vassegh of Dodger Talk reports.

Ethier has started the last four games, but he'll rest for Game 1 before, in all likelihood, returning to the mix for Game 2. The Dodgers will go with Chris Heisey in right field, and he'll bat second against Rockies' left-hander Jorge De La Rosa.

The Dodgers haven't really missed a beat since Yasiel Puig (hamstring) hit the DL thanks in large part to Ethier, who is batting .311/.403/.546 in 139 plate appearances this season. He is 6-for-19 against lefties, but Ethier's exposure to lefties figures to remain limited.

Ethier kicked off a three-homer eighth-inning for the Dodgers with his sixth jack of the season in Monday's win over the Braves.

Alex Guerrero and Jimmy Rollins followed Ethier up with homers of their own, will all of the blasts coming off Braves lefty Nick Masset. In addition, Ethier singled earlier in the game and collected another RBI on a bases-loaded walk in the first inning to continue his resurgent campaign. Though his .313/.407/.548 batting line has made him a more-than-adequate replacement for Yasiel Puig (hamstring) in right field, Ethier's underwhelming production the past two seasons and sizable contact likely won't be overlooked if the Dodgers attempt to peddle him to other suitors.

With Carl Crawford seemingly out for a while with a torn oblique, Ethier should play every day in left field, particularly against RHP. He is 4-for-9 versus southpaws however, so he could see time against them as well.

Ethier has been unable to solve Tuesday's starter Madison Bumgarner to this point in his career (3-for-24 with nine strikeouts), so it comes as no surprise that he's out of the lineup. Manager Don Mattingly will go with an all right-handed-batting outfield consisting of Alex Guerrero, Scott Van Slyke and Enrique Hernandez.

Ethier will start in right field and bat second in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday.

Ethier replaced Yasiel Puig during Friday's game against the Padres after Puig suffered a hamstring injury. While there is no word on how long Puig will be out, Ethier will likely continue to fill in in right field in his absence.
