Harang turned in six solid innings Sunday afternoon versus the Padres, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks while striking out three.
Harang continues to put together a surprisingly strong campaign for the Braves. The veteran hurler has allowed north of three earned runs in just four of his 23 starts this season while posting a 3.41 ERA and 7.0 K/9 across 142.1 innings. Granted, a 1.39 WHIP leaves a little to be desired, but the baseball cliche "effectively wild" comes to mind regarding Harang's work this season. He is next scheduled to be on the mound Saturday versus the Nationals.

Wed Jul 30 201402:00Harang allows 4 ER in no-decision vs. LAD
Aaron Harang was trampled for four runs on nine hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers in Tuesday's start.

Harang, 9-6 with a 3.43 ERA, has a nice matchup next time out, as he's scheduled to visit Petco Park and the Padres on Sunday.

Tue May 6 201400:10Aaron Harang solid in loss to Cards
Aaron Harang yielded four runs -- two earned -- in six innings Monday in a loss to the Cardinals.
Harang was the victim of a rare off night from Andrelton Simmons at shortstop, but this was still a much better outing than he had last time out against the Marlins. That he has a 43/15 K/BB ratio with just two homers allowed in 42 1/3 innings suggests he isn't through being a factor in mixed leagues just yet.

He'll take a microscopic 0.85 ERA into a rematch with the Marlins next week.
