Cosart (hamstring) left Wednesday's start with a tight hamstring, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Cosart struggled over 5.1 innings of work Wednesday, allowing two home runs and three walks to finish with four earned runs before exiting due to a tight hamstring. He should be considered day-to-day ahead of his next scheduled start, which would be Tuesday against Arizona.

Cosart was dealt the loss Sunday against the Philies, allowing three runs on five hits over five innings.

Cosart cruised through the first five innings, allowing just a single run in the fifth, before things unraveled. The right-hander hit the leadoff man in the sixth and then surrendered a triple and a single before getting lifted without recording an out. Cosart did rack up six strikeouts with just one walk and has been solid in four of his five starts this season, sitting with a 2.97 ERA and 0.96 WHIP through 30.1 innings pitched with an 18:8 K:BB ratio. He'll get back on the bump Friday in San Francisco.

That's two strong outings in a row for Cosart, who has made up for a lack of strikeouts by generating ground balls at a decent clip. Unfortunately, Cosart's 55.8 ground ball rate isn't easily quantified in the fantasy game, and his unimpressive 5.5 K/9 IP rate and 4.14 ERA aren't good enough to prop up his value.

Cosart missed his last start with an oblique injury, but showed no ill effects while keeping the Cardinals off-balance all night. He's allowed four earned runs over his first 12.1 innings pitched with the Marlins and owns a 4.27 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 128.2 innings on the year. The young rigthy will look to keep things going Sunday at home against the Diamondbacks.
