Carlos Beltran is working with the struggling Andres Torres on his hitting.
"These last couple days, we've gone to the cage together to work on things," said Beltran, who has known Torres for 10 years dating back to the Puerto Rican winter league. "He's a great guy, man. Last year he did a great job. One of the keys will be getting him to think about what he did last year." Torres is batting just .233 with three homers and a .677 OPS over 262 at-bats this season and has lost his spot in center field and at the top of the lineup to Cody Ross over the past two games. The 33-year-old is actually make more contact this season, but is hitting less line drives and more fly balls. For what it's worth, Beltran believes that Torres should focus more on getting on base and utilizing his speed.
