Sun Aug 26 201220:27Billingsley (elbow) has inconclusive MRI
Chad Billingsley (elbow) remains without a timetable for returning from the disabled list.
Billingsley's first MRI was inclusive and "didn't show enough" for the Dodgers to rule out structural damage. "It's going to be until next week before he gets another MRI," manager Don Mattingly said. "Then we'll know more. At this point, not really bad, not really good."

Dodgers GM Ned Colletti said Saturday that Chad Billingsley "might be out for awhile".
Billingsley was removed from Friday's start against the Marlins with inflammation in his right elbow -- the same injury that sidelined him earlier this season. With Josh Beckett hopping into the starting rotation, the Dodgers shouldn't experience a major dropoff in the short term.

He will have further testing conducted on Monday. Billingsley was scratched from Sunday's start with the injury and drew the ire of manager Don Mattingly for not disclosing the soreness sooner. Chad Billingsley was scratched from Sunday's scheduled start due to arm tenderness.
No more details of the injury are available at this time. If the injury turns out to be serious, it's a big blow for a fading Dodgers team that can ill afford another major injury. Chris Capuano was moved up a day to start in Billingsley's place.

Mon May 21 201207:01Billingsley limps into no-decision
Chad Billingsley was unimpressive in Sunday's no-decision against the Cardinals, surrendering five runs (three earned) on eight hits and four walks in six innings of work.
He also fanned seven -- the most since his first start on April 6. The damage could have been much worse, as Billingsley escaped big jams in the first and second innings. After stringing together four great outings in his first five starts, the right-hander has looked downright pedestrian in four straight appearances. He will try to get back on track Saturday against the Astros.

Wed May 16 201201:38Chad Billingsley loses to Diamondbacks
Chad Billingsley lost to the Diamondbacks after giving up four runs in four-plus innings Tuesday night.
Down 1-0 after four, Billingsley was singled to death in the fifth, giving up five straight to start the inning. He was then pulled in favor of Javy Guerra. Some of the blame should probably go to manager Don Mattingly, who put a terrible outfield defense behind Billingsley with Matt Kemp out. Billingsley is now 2-3 with a 3.83 ERA for the season.
