Koehler (8-10) pitched admirably Friday, allowing just two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings in a 3-1 loss to the Cardinals. He struck out just two.
If you take out a two-start stretch from July 29 to August 3, Koehler has been great since June 15. In fact, he has eight quality starts and has not allowed more then seven hits in any game since June 10. Koehler is not necessarily reliable or special by any means, but this stretch should open some eyes for streaming purposes in mixed leagues. His next start will be in Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Koehler (8-9) allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings in Saturday's loss to the Braves.
Koehler has hit a rough patch recently, going 0-3 in his last three starts while allowing 14 earned runs in just 16.1 innings. He walks too many batters (3.18 BB/9) for a guy with a very pedestrian strikeout rate (6.43 K/9), and will continue to be a middling option at best unless he's able to improve his control. Things don't project to get any easier for the righty in his next start, as he will have to face the Cardinals in St. Louis next Saturday.

Koehler gave up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in Monday's loss to the Mets.
Koehler struck out six but threw 40 balls in just 91 pitches and couldn't harness his stuff. All seven hits he allowed were extra-base hits, including six doubles. Koehler has served up 15 home runs this year despite Miami's cavernous stadium and saw his ERA rise to 3.71 after Monday's shellacking.

Koehler (8-7) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk to go with four strikeouts in six innings Wednesday against the Nationals.
Koehler had allowed two runs through four innings before giving up a three-run shot to Bryce Harper. It was the fourth time this season that Koehler allowed a homer to Harper. Koehler has now lost three of his last four decisions despite his ERA dropping from 3.52 to 3.38. His next start will be Monday against the Mets.

Koehler (8-6) pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up only three hits and four walks while striking out seven against the Padres on Thursday.
Koehler didn't face many challenges, as the three hits he allowed were all singles. The right-hander successfully worked out of the only jam he faced, and he lifted the Marlins to a 4-0 win over the Padres. Over his last six starts, he is 4-2 with a 1.62 ERA. He'll look to keep it going in his next start Wednesday against the Nationals.

Koehler took the loss despite recording a quality start Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings, striking out three.
He now has a streak of five straight quality starts. Koehler's lack of strikeouts makes him a low-end fantasy option, but at least at the moment he's finding a way to be effective. His next start comes Thursday in San Diego.

Koehler (7-5) was charged with five runs -- one earned -- on five hits in six innings Wednesday against the Red Sox. He walked two and struck out two in the loss.
The Red Sox capitalized on Koehler's throwing error to take a 4-0 lead with four unearned runs in the third. Koehler fired Mookie Betts' comebacker wide of first, sending runners to second and third, leading to Boston's four run inning. Wednesday's loss snapped Koehler's three game win streak, though he did lower his ERA to 3.40. In his last four starts, Koehler has given up five earned runs in 26 innings.

Koehler struck out four and walked one while holding the Cubs to one run on five hits over six innings in a winning effort Friday afternoon.
He pitched well on a day where Jason Hammel limited the damage from the Marlins offense to a pair of solo home runs. Koehler's strikeout and walk rates are right in line with his career norms this season, but his ERA (3.52) is nearly a half-run lower than his career mark (3.99). He'll draw the Red Sox at Fenway on Thursday in his final start before the All-Star break.

Koehler did well in his return from a neck injury, getting the win over the Dodgers with 7.0 innings and two runs allowed.
Saturday's win is Koehler's third in his last four starts. His peripherals paint an overall uninspiring picture (4.65 FIP, 4.40 xFIP), but the results have at least been decent with a 3.66 ERA so far in 2015. His .266 BABIP creates some worry of regression, but it's close enough to his career mark of .285 to chalk it up more to weak contact than sheer luck.
Sat Jun 27 201513:50Koehler (neck) confirmed as Saturday's starter against Dodgers
Koehler (neck) has been confirmed as Saturday's starter against the Dodgers, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The Marlins were forced to skip Koehler the last time through the rotation due to neck and back pain, but he will slot back in Saturday opposite Clayton Kershaw. Koehler allowed just one run on three hits over seven innings against the Yankees his last time out, lowering his ERA at home to 1.52 (41.1 innings).

Wed Jun 24 201516:38Koehler (neck) expected to start Saturday against Dodgers
Koehler (neck) is expected to start Saturday against the Dodgers, Christina De Nicola of FOX Sports Florida reports.
A bout of neck and back pain resulted in Koehler's scratch from his last scheduled start, but it appears the injury will end up costing him just one full turn in the rotation. Koehler has been serviceable for Miami so far this season, turning in a 3.76 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 79 innings, and it appears he will indeed remain in the rotation upon Jose Fernandez's return, health permitting.
Sat Jun 20 201514:52Tom Koehler: (Neck) Scratched From Saturday's Start
Koehler is dealing with neck/back pain and will not make his scheduled start Saturday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
Justin Nicolino arrived to Cincinnati on Saturday and will get the nod opposite Anthony DeSclafani with Koehler ailing. This is the first word of any neck/back pain for Koehler this season, but the extent of the injury is uncertain and thus he should be considered day-to-day and questionable to make his next scheduled start.

Koehler got back on track Monday, holding the Yankees to just one run in seven innings to earn the win.
Koehler was blasted by the Blue Jays in his last start, but was able to right the ship. The righty now has a respectable 3.76 ERA and has allowed just one run in three of his last five starts. His next outing will come against the Reds this weekend.

Koehler struggled through 6.2 innings Wednesday afternoon, allowing six earned runs on eight hits and two walks in a 7-2 loss to the Blue Jays.
Koehler did strike out seven batters in the contest, but the home run ball plagued him all afternoon as he served up three homers. He had gone six appearances without allowing a home run coming into the game. The right-hander now sits with a 4.13 ERA and a pedestrian 52:28 K:BB ratio to boot. Next up, a matchup against the Yankees in New York.

Koehler bounced back Friday evening with seven innings of one-run ball to beat the Rockies.
The right-hander struck out six while allowing eight hits and one walk pitching in Coors Field. He moved to 4-3 for the year while nudging his ERA down to 3.72 to go along with a 1.33 WHIP and 45:26 K:BB over 65.1 innings pitched. He's been excellent over five of his last six appearances, registering four quality starts along the way. Koehler has another difficult assignment up next, taking on the Blue Jays in Toronto on Wednesday.

Koehler struggled Saturday, coughing up five runs on seven hits and four walks over just 3.1 innings, striking out one.
Jon Niese was little better for the Mets, so Koehler was able to escape a loss despite his poor showing. Despite his almost respectable 4.01 ERA, the soft-tossing righty figures to be a must-avoid next week, as he takes on the Rockies in Denver on Friday.

Koehler tossed 6.1 strong innings Sunday in a win over the Orioles, allowing just one run on three hits.
He struck out three and walked four to even his record at 3-3 on the season. Just over a week ago, Koehler was demoted to the bullpen following an uneven start to the season, however, injuries to Henderson Alvarez (shoulder), Jared Cosart (vertigo) and Mat Latos (knee) have given Koehler the second chance he needed. The right-hander has posted back-to-back quality starts while pushing his era down to 3.44 to go along with a 1.22 WHIP over 55 innings pitched. Next, he'll face the Mets in New York on Saturday.

Koehler surrendered two unearned runs on five hits across 6.2 innings in Tuesday's loss to Arizona.
Koehler earned the no decision and didn't give up an earned run, walking two and striking out three. He now holds a 3.70 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP with a 2-3 record. He'll get the Orioles at home in his next start.
