Koehler will start for the Marlins on Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

Koehler was recently moved to the bullpen following the return of Henderson Alvarez, but will move back to the rotation after Jarred Cosart (vertigo) was placed on the disabled list. However, his stay in the rotation could only last a couple turns if Cosart returns in short order.

Koehler pitched three scoreless innings in relief Saturday, striking out four while allowing two hits and no walks. For now the Marlins have chosen to stick with David Phelps in the rotation over him, though Alvarez got bombed on Sunday in his first start back.

Koehler (2-3) gave up five runs -- four of them via a hat trick of Bryce Harper home runs -- on seven hits and a walk over six innings Wednesday in a loss to Washington.

The 28-year-old righty shut down the Nationals over 7.1 innings his last time out, but this time, he served up three mistake pitches to Harper, who took advantage in a big way. With an ERA that's now inflated to 5.18 and just two quality starts out of six turns, Koehler's fantasy value is limited to deep formats. Worth noting for streamers: he's been much better at home -- albeit in a limited sample -- than on the road. Unfortunately, the righty's next start will be in Los Angeles against the Dodgers on Monday.

Koehler battled through five solid innings Friday but was left out of the decision, allowing three runs on four hits before being lifted for a pinch-hitter after just 82 pitches.

Miami scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, so Mike Redmond's early hook with his starter ended up working out well. Koehler struck out six and walked two in the outing and has now pitched effectively in four of his five turns this season. He's sitting with a 4.67 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 27 innings pitched with an 18:10 K:BB rate, but seven of his 14 allowed earned runs came in one disastrous start against the Mets. Koehler will get back on the mound Wednesday on the road against the Nationals.

Koehler stymied the Nationals on Saturday, tossing 7.1 shutout innings and scrattering six hits and a walk while striking out four to notch his second win of the season.

After getting tagged by the Mets for seven runs in his last start, Koehler bounced back as well as anyone could have expected. He doesn't strike out enough batters to be useful in a lot of fantasy formats, but Koehler could be a streaming option if he continues to get good results in Miami's spacious home park.

Koehler endured a rough outing on Sunday, giving up seven runs on five hits and two walks in just 3.1 innings against the Mets.

The 28-year-old cruised through three before a disastrous fourth inning during which he loaded the bases and proceeded to give up all seven runs the Mets would score on the day. Koehler pitched much better in his previous two starts and will try to get back on track against the Nationals on Saturday.

Koehler gave up two runs on six hits and two walks, with three strikeouts over 5.1 innings, in a win over the Braves on Tuesday.

Although Koehler didn't get the quality start, like he did against Atlanta in his 2015 debut, he did pick up the win this time around. The right-hander attacked the strike zone early in the count, throwing first-pitch strikes to 16 of the 24 batters he faced after doing so to just 11-of-23 batters his last time out. Koehler did get touched up in the fourth inning, allowing back-to-back homers to Freddie Freeman and A.J. Pierzynski, but that was the extent of the damage. His next start will come Sunday against the Mets at Citi Field.

Koehler (0-1) took the loss in his first start of the year Wednesday, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks over six-plus innings of work against the Braves.

He was matching zeroes with Shelby Miller and then the Atlanta bullpen until the seventh, when A.J. Pierzynski got to him for a two-run homer. Still, it's a decent first outing of the year for Koehler, who should again be a reasonable back-end-of-the-fantasy-rotation starter this season.

Koehler appears to have locked down the Marlins' final rotation spot, MLB.com reports.

Despite having a less-than-stellar camp, Manager Mike Redmond indicated that the team was "probably set with those five guys." David Phelps and Brad Hand have been working as starters during Grapefruit League action and both appear headed to the bullpen following strong performances. Redmond did leave open the possibility that things could change prior to Opening Day but for now Koehler's role in the rotation is safe.

Koehler allowed four runs (three earned) while struggling through four innings Thursday in a start against the Braves.

Koehler allowed six hits and walked three during his longest outing of the spring. After tossing 191.1 solid innings for the Marlins last year, Koehler finds himself being outraced for the fifth spot in the rotation by David Phelps and Brad Hand. Both Phelps and Hand have experience pitching out of the bullpen, but if Miami puts much stock in spring performance, Koehler could be the odd man out come Opening Day.

Koehler allowed four runs and eight hits, while striking out seven over seven innings, in Thursday's start against Philadelphia.

Koehler pitched well enough to pick up his 10th win, and had an effective season overall, making 32 starts, while posting a 3.81 ERA. He's probably earned stay in the rotation next season, although it's not a definite, given that Jose Fernandez, when healthy, and top prospect Andrew Heaney will surely take up two spots.

Koehler allowed three runs on six hits, walking four and striking out five over five innings of a 3-2 loss to the Nationals on Friday night.

It was a rather pedestrian performance for Koehler (9-10, 3.76 ERA) who needed 98 pitches (63 for strikes) to cover the five innings. He'll try to reach double-digit wins in his final 2014 start at home against the Phillies.

Koehler threw 53 of his 90 pitches for strikes. His ERA now stands at 3.71, its lowest mark since July 31st. Koehler, who owns a 1.28 WHIP and 141:66 K:BB ratio in 179.1 innings this season, gets a crack at Washington at home Friday.

With Koehler lasting only five innings Tuesday, it snapped his string of four straight quality starts. Nonetheless, Koehler kept his team in the game and has pitched relatively well all season. He now has a 3.74 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 139:65 K:BB in 173.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Sunday on the road against the Phillies.

Koehler kept his team in the game, allowing just the two runs on five hits and four walks, and registered his first double-digit strikeout effort of the season during the quality start. It was not enough to win, however, and Koehler dropped to 9-9 on the season despite a solid 3.74 ER and 1.26 WHIP over 168.1 innings pitched. He's allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 10 starts and will look to keep the momentum going Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Koehler was quality in his outing Friday night, allowing two runs on four hits, walking three and striking out six over six innings, but came away with a no-decision against the Braves.

His only fault was a two-run home run off the bat of Justin Upton, but his mates couldn't generate any offense and Miami eventually lost the game 5-2. He'll carry a respectable 3.79 ERA into his next start at home against the Mets.

Koehler limited the Diamondbacks to two runs over six innings Sunday to earn his ninth victory of the season.

He racked up seven strikeouts while allowing six hits and two walks during the quality outing. The right-hander has been a steady force in the middle of the Marlins' rotation all year, compiling a 3.82 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 148.1 inning pitched. The team has a pair of off-days this week, so Koehler won't make his make his next start until Saturday in Colorado.

Koehler wasn't at this best Monday, but was good enough to earn the win, allowing three runs in five innings of work.

Koehler allowed eight hits in his five innings of work, but did strike out five. The righty has now failed to record a quality start in back-to-back outings and three of his last four starts. He'll try to even his record at 9-9 this weekend against Arizona.

Koehler took the loss against the Pirates on Wednesday. He allowed four runs on five hits, walking four and striking out four over six innings.

Koehler was victimized by a four-run first inning in which he allowed three hits � including two doubles � as well as two walks. He'd settle in from that point on, firing five scoreless while allowing just two hits and two walks, but the damage had already been done. The Marlins' right-hander is 7-9 with a 3.80 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and has a 104:51 K:BB over 137.1 innings this season. He'll face the Cardinals next time out in his home park.

Koehler took the tough-luck loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, allowing a pair of unearned runs and five hits in seven strong innings.

Koehler didn't deserve a loss, but was outdueled by ace Johnny Cueto. He's been relatively reliable this season, and will toe the rubber at Pittsburgh in his next start.
