Desmond Jennings went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI, and a stolen base against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Jennings has been solid in the first two games of the regular season, logging four hits, including two doubles, in seven at-bats. Last season, he had 30-plus doubles, nearly 15 home runs, and 20 stolen bases. If he can reprise the performance, he'll be a valuable fantasy option.

Sun Mar 23 201417:41Desmond Jennings goes 2-for-3, doubles
Desmond Jennings went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a walk against the Red Sox on Sunday.
Jennings looks noticeably stronger after adding weight over the winter, yet it hasn't stopped him from swiping three bases this spring. He could be a really nice fantasy outfielder, especially if Joe Maddon chooses to hit him at or near the top of the order consistently. He might frequently bat sixth or seventh, though.

Mon Feb 17 201421:22Desmond Jennings puts on muscle over winter
Desmond Jennings put on 10-15 pounds of muscle over the offseason.
"I get here every spring and I probably lose at least 10 pounds, so I feel I'll be around what I want to play with once the season starts," Jennings said. Rays manager Joe Maddon has discussed using Jennings in the leadoff spot, but he's open to hitting him lower in the order "if he's gotten that big, which I've heard from other people, we'll see," Maddon said. Jennings hit .252/.334/.414 with 14 homers and 20 steals last season.

Fri Feb 14 201423:49Desmond Jennings could return to leadoff
Rays manager Joe Maddon indicated Friday that there's a good chance Desmond Jennings could return to the top of the Rays lineup in 2014.
The 27-year-old outfielder finished the season alternating between the leadoff spot and the bottom third of the Rays lineup. While he's proven to be a bit injury-prone, he still possesses a dazzling combination of power and speed, and his overall value would only increase with the outlook for more at-bats atop the Rays order.

Rays manager Joe Maddon said that Desmond Jennings (hamstring) is likely to be removed from Friday's game in the later innings.
Jennings didn't play a full nine innings in the tiebreaker and Wild Card games, either, as his troublesome left hamstring still isn't 100 percent. The outfielder does have three hits in six at-bats in those two contests, though.

Tue Oct 1 201321:05Desmond Jennings will be on ALDS roster
Rays manager Joe Maddon said that Desmond Jennings (hamstring) came out of Monday's tiebreaker game fine and will be on the team's Wild Card game roster.
Jennings went 1-for-3 with a walk and got thrown out by plenty in the first inning when he tried to stretch a single to a double. He was removed late in the game for defensive purposes. "Desmond is doing really well," Maddon said on Tuesday. "You saw him play last night. The first ball down the line, I don't even know if under normal circumstances it would've been closer, but Gentry made a nice play on it. Overall, I'd say he's about 85 percent. He swung the bat really well last night so he should be fine for tomorrow night."

Mon Sep 30 201318:11Jennings playing at less than 100 percent
Desmond Jennings admitted that he's playing in Monday's tiebreaker even though his left hamstring isn't 100 percent.
"It feels good enough for me to play," Jennings said. "I'm not going to limit myself." The outfielder is certainly at risk of making the injury worse, but he's willing to gamble in Game 163. It's Jennings' first start in over a week.

Mon Sep 30 201309:02Jennings (hamstring) won't start tiebreaker
Desmond Jennings (hamstring) will only be able to pinch-hit in Monday's tiebreaker with the Rangers.
Jennings suffered a strained left hamstring over a week ago and still can't run enough to play the field. It's a frustrating situation for the Rays, though they have a solid backup center fielder in David DeJesus. Jennings should be feeling better by Wednesday's American League Wild Card Game if the Rays are able to advance.
