Tue Aug 14 201223:47Snider exits game after tweaking hamstring
Travis Snider left Tuesday's game against the Dodgers for precautionary reasons after aggravating his right hamstring.
Snider was back in the lineup Tuesday for the first time since Saturday. However, he tweaked his hamstring again on a double in the bottom of the third inning and was removed for a pinch-hitter in the eighth. It doesn't appear to be a major concern at the moment, but the Pirates could give him another couple days off.

Tue Jul 31 201201:12Pirates acquire OF Snider from Blue Jays
Pirates acquired OF Travis Snider from the Blue Jays for RHP Brad Lincoln.
An interesting pickup for the Pirates, who have been connected to bigger names like Justin Upton and Shane Victorino in recent weeks. The 24-year-old Snider has stumbled in multiple opportunities in the majors and may always be a free-swinger, but he still has the potential to be a legitimate middle-of-the-order power threat. It's a nice under-the-radar move by Pirates GM Neal Huntington.

Fri Jul 20 201212:22Travis Snider to play regularly
Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Travis Snider will play regularly at one of the corner outfield spots.
He'll get one and Anthony Gose will get the other, with Rajai Davis moving back into a part-time role. Whoever plays better over the next couple weeks will stay on the roster after Jose Bautista (wrist) returns. Snider batted .335/.423/.598 with 13 homers and 56 RBI over 56 games at Triple-A this season and is worth a gamble in deeper mixed leagues.

Fri Jul 20 201208:39Travis Snider could replace Lawrie on roster
Travis Snider is headed to Boston to meet up with the Blue Jays, but he's likely around as insurance in case Brett Lawrie (calf) needs to go on the disabled list.
At last report, Lawrie was hoping to be back in the lineup Friday after suffering a right calf contusion Wednesday, but it's possible his condition could worsen. Snider was passed over by Anthony Gose earlier this week when Jose Bautista went on the DL, but he's had a big -- albeit injury-shortened -- year at Triple-A Las Vegas, batting .325/.409/.567 with 13 homers and 57 RBI over 61 games.

Sun Jun 24 201222:56Anthopoulos: No timetable for Snider's return
Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos said Sunday that there is no timetable for Travis Snider's return to the majors.
Anthopoulos wants Snider to start regularly when he returns to Toronto. "I don't think right now there is playing time," Anthopoulos said. "Rajai (Davis) has played so well and Colby (Rasmus) is also playing well." The 24-year-old is playing well at the Triple-A level, but Anthopoulos in the end will determine his destiny. "If he keeps doing what heƒ?Ts doing," Anthopoulos said, "he'll find his way back but right now Raj hasn't done anything to lose that job."

Sun May 20 201211:56Travis Snider aggravates wrist injury
Travis Snider took himself out of a game for Triple-A Las Vegas this past Wednesday after aggravating his right wrist injury.
Snider is still feeling symptoms when swinging a bat. He's batting a cool .333/.411/.604 with five dingers for Vegas this season but obviously won't be a candidate for recall until he's healthy.

Mon May 7 201213:06Snider (wrist) aiming to play this week
Travis Snider (wrist) is aiming to return to the lineup at Triple-A Las Vegas later this week.
Snider has been on the minor league disabled list since suffering a jammed right wrist after running into an outfield wall in late April. The 24-year-old is batting .400 with four home runs, 23 RBI and a 1.170 OPS in 19 games this year at the Triple-A level. He should be up in the major leagues at some point this summer.

Sun May 6 201214:25Travis Snider's wrist still hurting
Travis Snider was not activated from Triple-A Las Vegas' disabled list because his wrist "didn't feel right" during a round of batting practice.
He's already had an MRI, which came back clean. Snider will continue trying to take batting practice and will be activated once he's pain-free. The 24-year-old outfield is hitting .400 (30-for-75) with four homers, 23 RBI and a 1.170 OPS over his first 19 games this season at the Triple-A level.

Wed Mar 28 201212:08Jays aren't drawing much interest in Snider
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Blue Jays haven't drawn much trade interest in Travis Snider.
One likely reason for the lack of interest is that teams know the Jays are unlikely to deal him while his value is low. Snider batted .271 (13-for-48) with four homers and 16 RBI this spring, but he was demoted to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday after losing the starting left field job to Eric Thames. Still, we suspect the 24-year-old will find his way back to the majors before long.

Sun Mar 25 201217:18Jays option Snider to minors, Thames to start
Blue Jays optioned OF Travis Snider and 1B David Cooper to Triple-A Las Vegas; reassigned C Yan Gomes, INF Jonathan Diaz and INF Chris Woodward to minor league camp.
This means that Eric Thames will start in left for Toronto. It's unclear what the Jays plan to do with Snider. Still just 24, the young slugger posted a 1.005 OPS this spring. Perhaps the organizational will look to trade him. Cooper, another trade candidate, is blocked at first base by Adam Lind, who is under team control through 2016 at a team-friendly rate. The 24-year-old prospect batted .364/.439/.535 with nine home runs, 51 doubles and 96 RBI in 120 games last year at the Triple-A level. He was the 17th overall pick in the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft.
