Williams (hip) won't take the court Saturday versus the Cavaliers, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
After missing Wednesday's game due to a personal issue, Williams is missing the Timberwolves' current back-to-back set with a hip injury. Meanwhile, his replacement, Zach LaVine, rolled his ankle Friday and will sit out Saturday, leaving the point to Lorenzo Brown, who signed a 10-day contract with the team Wednesday.

Williams (hip) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Zach LaVine is also questionable after rolling his ankle Friday, so there is a chance Williams could see major minutes if he is able to return. Lorenzo Brown is the other point guard on the roster, and would be the emergency starter if neither Williams or LaVine could play Saturday.

Williams (hip) will not play against the Sixers on Friday, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
Williams briefly left the team for personal reasons but is also dealing with a hip injury. On top of that, there's growing momentum for Williams to be traded away from Minnesota for future draft picks while his stock is high. Despite the potential exodus, he should be considered day-to-day for the time being while rookie Zach LaVine starts in his place.

With Ricky Rubio (ankle) still out, the Wolves will be short on point guards Wednesday, so expect to see plenty of Zach Lavine. Lorenzo Brown, who joined the team on a 10-day deal Wednesday, could also see a fair amount of minutes in what would be his Timberwolves debut.

Williams followed up Tuesday's career-high 52 points with 26 points (10-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT) against the Suns on Friday. He also contributed two rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 39 minutes.
Williams is currently on fire and deserving of a roster spot in virtually every depth of league after Friday's solid 26-point outing, not to even mention the other above-average counting stats. That being said, there's an expiration date on Williams since Ricky Rubio (ankle) could be returning sometime next week. In the meantime, Williams has proven to be deserving of a chance, even if just for a couple more games.

Williams will continue to have low-end value until Ricky Rubio (ankle) returns, so you may still get three weeks of solid production. If you need assists, Williams is worth a look in most leagues, but be aware of the limited range of his value.

Williams had 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt), seven assists, and four rebounds in 25 minutes in a starting role Monday night against the Nuggets.
Williams scored in double figures for the second consecutive game and is averaging 26.5 minutes-per-game over his last four contests. He has also hit eight three-pointers in his last three contests. When he gets playing time, Williams is a reliable scorer. That said, Zach LaVine is the usual starter, so Williams' value is highly dependent on whether Lavine gets the nod or not.
