Williams scored just two points (1-9 FT, 0-2 3Pt) in 29 minutes of action in a loss to the Nuggets on Friday, but did have 13 assists, five rebounds and two blocks.
Williams played 10 more minutes than rookie Zach LaVine, who started, but finished with single-digit points for the fourth time in his past five games. He had a great game Sunday against the Pacers, scoring 24, but since returning from injury, Williams has struggled in five starts with his scoring. At this time, there's not a huge minutes distinction between Williams and LaVine, and Williams isn't a great option unless he gets the starting spot back.

Minnesota's rough start to the season has triggered a look to the future, so Zach LaVine will probably still be the starter with Ricky Rubio out. Once Williams starts operating at full health, he could still be of use in mid-sized leagues as he is a better distributor than LaVine.
