Mon Mar 31 2014 | 23:55 | Smith scores 26 points in Pistons win |
Josh Smith hit 11-of-19 shots (including two threes) with one rebound, three assists, one steal and one block in Monday's win over the Bucks. |
The opposition is terrible and the one lonely rebound is ugly, but owners are probably thrilled with the efficiency from both the field and at the line (2-of-3 FTs). We'd like to see him do this against a better and more motivated team before declaring his slump over. |

Sat Mar 29 2014 | 21:53 | Josh Smith scores just four points in loss |
Josh Smith looked horrible against the Sixers on Saturday, making 2-of-8 from the field for four points with six boards, one assist and one block in 25 minutes. |
It's going to be really easy to pile on Smith here. He continues to take terrible shots and he doesn't use his size at small forward either. It's pretty obvious the Pistons made a mistake signing him to a four-year, $54 million deal over the summer. |

Wed Mar 26 2014 | 23:47 | Josh Smith plays well in ugly Pistons loss |
Josh Smith had 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks and a 3-pointer on 11-of-23 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers. |
The Pistons were up 82-66 at the start of the fourth quarter, yet failed to score a bucket down the stretch as the Cavs scored the games final 10 points. But from a fantasy perspective, Smith has had a nice year and is still playing well down the stretch. |

Sat Mar 22 2014 | 02:43 | Smith goes for 15 and 10 w/ eight missed FTs |
Josh Smith went for 15 and 10 with a steal in Friday's loss to the Suns, but hit just 7-of-19 shots and missed all eight of his free throws. |
If it's not one thing it's another for Smith, who simply put can't shoot. That's not changing anytime soon and Pistons fans have to be ramming their heads into the walls right about now. Greg Monroe added 16 points, eight boards, five assists, one steal and two blocks in the loss. |

Wed Mar 19 2014 | 22:31 | Smoove move: Josh Smith gets ejected vs. DEN |
Josh Smith was ejected on Wednesday for two technical fouls within one minutes. |
He argued with Kenneth Faried and then continued with the refs to get his second one. Smith finished with eight points, seven boards, one assist and two blocks in his start at power forward. He shouldn't receive any additional punishment from the league for tonight's ejection. Charlie Villanueva is looking at his best opportunity in a while tonight. |

Sat Mar 15 2014 | 22:55 | Josh Smith plays well in loss to Pacers |
Josh Smith hit 10-of-23 shots and a 3-pointer for 23 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and four blocks in Saturday's OT loss to the Pacers. |
Smith, Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey weren't scared of the Pacers defense tonight, and while Smoove continues to be a bit of a mess in reality due to his shot selection, he's having a very fine fantasy season. |

Tue Mar 11 2014 | 22:36 | Josh Smith plays well in Pistons win |
Josh Smith hit 10-of-17 shots and two 3-pointers for 24 points, eight rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's win over the Kings. |
Smoove and the Pistons got off to a sluggish start tonight, but finished on a high note with the win. Smith didn't have a steal or a block tonight, but we doubt any of his owners are complaining about his line. He's hot right now, as he had 28 points, three 3-pointers and 11 rebounds on Sunday. |

Sun Mar 9 2014 | 21:20 | Josh Smith leads Pistons w/ 28 & 11 in loss |
Josh Smith led the Pistons on Sunday with 28 points, three 3-pointers, 11 rebounds and one block, but the result was another road loss. |
Smith came in shooting just 39.3 percent from the field (22.7 percent from downtown) over his past 10 games, but that didn't stop him from launching a game-high 24 shots including six attempts from beyond the arc. A combination of lousy percentages and high turnovers have limited Smoove to late-round value over the past month, something to keep in mind on draft day next year. |

Sat Mar 8 2014 | 00:24 | Josh Smith has a bad shooting night |
Josh Smith shot 4-of-14 from the field for 13 points against the Wolves on Friday with seven boards, four assists and one block in 29 minutes. |
Shockingly, he only attempted one shot from downtown tonight and he's been absolutely horrible from deep lately. Since Christmas, Smith shot an ugly 18.6 percent from above the break which has brought the Pistons to the worst in the NBA on those shots during that span. He is still filling it up everywhere else despite ranking last among qualifying forwards in field goal percentage. |

Thu Mar 6 2014 | 00:58 | Josh Smith blocks six in full stat line Wed. |
Josh Smith blocked six shots against the Bulls on Wednesday to go with 15 points, nine boards, five assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes. |
In typical J-Smoove fashion, he shot 6-of-21 from the field, but at least he had plenty of shot attempts in the paint. Smith's shot is off right now making just 36.2 percent from the field over his last five. Although, his averages are 18.6 points, 7.6 boards, 4.4 assists, 2.0 blocks, 1.4 steals and 0.6 triples certainly make him a must-start player. He is what he is. |

Sun Mar 2 2014 | 09:52 | Report: DET considering Isiah Thomas for GM |
Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores is reportedly considering hiring Isiah Thomas as General Manager. |
Joe Dumars has been met with a lot of criticism over the years after handing out numerous bad contracts, and he is not likely to be the GM in Detroit for much longer. However, to hire a guy who as general manager of the New York Knicks, built loser after loser, pulverized the team's cap structure and exposed Madison Square Garden to an eight-digit sexual-harassment lawsuit would be a questionable decision at best. Stay tuned for more updates on this strange situation. |

Thu Feb 27 2014 | 01:30 | Josh Smith plays well despite foul trouble |
Josh Smith got hot early on Wednesday and had 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers on 10-of-19 shooting. |
He finished with five fouls in 43 minutes, so the foul trouble didn't cost him many minutes, if any. And the fact he did this against the defense of the Spurs makes it more impressive. 'Good Josh' has been around for a few straight games now, as he continues to be a fantasy beast when his shot is falling. |

Sat Feb 22 2014 | 23:04 | Josh Smith scores 32 points in loss to Dallas |
Josh Smith hit 14-of-20 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 32 points, three rebounds, three assists, a steal and three blocks in Saturday's loss to the Mavericks. |
We got a dose of 'good Josh' tonight, as he even hit 3-of-4 free throws to give his owners some love from the line for a change. He rarely shoots it this well, so owners should bask in the glory before he likely falls back to earth on Monday against the Warriors. |

Thu Feb 13 2014 | 00:25 | Josh Smith fills stat sheet in loss |
Josh Smith hit 7-of-15 shots and a 3-pointer for 18 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four blocks in Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers. |
Smith has been playing through an ankle injury and looked good tonight. He hasn't had any issues with interim coach John Loyer thus far, so owners should look for more of the same from Smoove after the break. |

Sun Feb 9 2014 | 14:17 | John Loyer will be interim head coach |
John Loyer will be the interim head coach for the Pistons. |
He was Cheeks' assistant in Philly and Portland, so chances are he's not going to be the long-term solution for the Pistons. The team reportedly fired coach Mo Cheeks without any particular replacement in mind, so Loyer could stick around for a while. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a little while longer before we see Rasheed Wallace as a head coach. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 23:00 | Josh Smith drops 30 on Nuggets in win |
Josh Smith hit 14-of-27 shots and one 3-pointer for 30 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and a block in Saturday's win over the Nuggets. |
Yeah, he hit just 1-of-4 free throws, as usual, but lines like this are why you leave him in your lineup when his shot isn't falling. After hitting just 9-of-30 shots in two games, he's caught fire over his last three, averaging 26.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks on 34-of-62 shooting over his last three. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 17:35 | Josh Smith (ankle) ready to go Saturday |
Josh Smith (ankle) said that he felt good while warming up for Saturday's game. |
There doesn't seem to be any threat of a DNP for Smith, who sat out the final 10 minutes of Friday's blowout after twisting his ankle. Keep him active and we'll let you know if his status changes before tip-off. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 09:38 | Pistons 'more than willing' to trade Smoove |
The Pistons would reportedly be "more than willing" to trade Josh Smith, but a deal is unlikely due to his four-year, $54 million contract. |
Greg Monroe is a more likely trade target, and he could earn a mint as a restricted FA this summer, but according to USA Today "it will take a major offer to convince the Pistons to part ways with Monroe just yet." The rumor mill is churning at full speed with the trade deadline less than two weeks away, and this isn't the last we'll hear about Smoove and Monroe as trade options. |

Fri Feb 7 2014 | 21:55 | Josh Smith plays well, hurts right ankle |
Josh Smith suffered a right ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Friday's game and did not return. |
He didn't go to the locker room right away and the training staff just put ice on his ankle. Smith stepped on Reggie Evans' foot and his ankle did not look to be seriously injured. His stat line was solid in the win, finishing with 23 points, eight boards, seven assists, four blocks, one steal and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes. He should be considered questionable for Saturday vs. Denver. |
