Granger's lack of minutes on Sunday was coach's decision. He is still active, but it will be difficult for him to crack the rotation with Luol Deng starting and the apparent onset of James Ennis. Even if he does come back, he will be competing for minutes and will split time as a back up forward.

Mon Jul 7 201415:44UFA Danny Granger agrees to deal with Miami
Unrestricted free agent Danny Granger has agreed to a two-year, $4.2 million deal with the Heat.
Granger will take the bi-annual exception with Miami, and will have a player option on the second season. Granger's days of a being a star player are behind him, but he's a solid locker room guy, and maybe he can be a decent role player for Miami. Through 12 games with the Clippers last season Granger averaged 8.0 points, and 2.3 rebounds on 42.9 percent shooting, so he is clearly no longer a fantasy option in any league.
