Mon Mar 18 201323:26Temple posts 17-5-3 line in loss to CHA
Garrett Temple started once again with Bradley Beal coming off the bench on Monday against the Bobcats, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting, two threes, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 28 minutes.
Temple has been providing low-end numbers from the shooting guard position lately, but his value could be usurped any day once Beal gets back to full strength.

Sat Mar 16 201321:41Garrett Temple solid despite Beal's return
Despite Bradley Beal's return on Saturday, Garrett Temple still scored 11 points with three 3-pointer, three boards, four assists and two steals in 36 minutes.
Temple had averaged 43 minutes in the previous two games. He started at SG again on Saturday but that's unlikely to last much longer, especially when Trevor Ariza (knee) returns, and fantasy owners shouldn't fret about cutting him for a more promising FA.

Fri Mar 15 201322:25Garrett Temple plays 45 minutes on Friday
Garrett Temple played 45 minutes against the Hornets in Friday's 96-87 win, scoring 10 points with two boards, five assists and one steal.
He's been solid filling in and his 45 minutes marked a season high. Temple will lose most of his playing time once super rookie Bradley Beal comes back, so he's only worth a look on a short-term basis.

Wed Mar 13 201322:03Garrett Temple scores 13 in 41 minutes
Garrett Temple started at shooting guard again and hit 6-of-7 shots for 13 points, three rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Bucks.
Garrett's started three games in a row, but this was his first game with more than four points since Feb. 4, when he scored a season-high 15 points. Continue to ignore him for now, as this was just his third game of the season with double-figures scoring.

Sat Mar 9 201322:42Garrett Temple quiet in start at SG on Sat.
Garrett Temple started at SG on Saturday with Bradley Beal (ankle) still unavailable, but he scored just two points with four rebounds, four assists and five personal fouls in 23 minutes.
Beal's status came down to just before tip-off tonight and there's a good chance that he'll return on Tuesday, so owners trolling for cheap value should look elsewhere.

Mon Feb 4 201321:42Garrett Temple lights up Clippers in victory
Garrett Temple had 15 points, two assists, three steals and three blocks vs. the Clippers, making 7-of-12 FGs in 37 minutes of action.
The former D-League guard came in shooting 33.3 percent on the season, and he logged just 11 minutes on Friday, so we're not expecting a repeat performance. That said, owners in deep leagues may want to grab him in case Bradley Beal's wrist injury keeps him out much longer.

Sun Feb 3 201300:08Garrett Temple awful in start at SG
Garrett Temple started at SG but had just two points and zero assists on Saturday, as the Wizards lost their fourth consecutive game.
Temple functioned reasonably well as a fill-in PG earlier this season, but he's too poor a shooter to be effective playing SG alongside John Wall. Randy Wittman seems to agree and Temple played only 11 minutes tonight.

Wed Jan 30 201317:52Garrett Temple to start Wednesday night
Garrett Temple will draw the start Wednesday night with Bradley Beal (wrist) sidelined.
Coach Randy Wittman said Temple is starting because he wants to keep the rotation the same. While Temple could get a few extra minutes with Beal sidelined, we still don't think he presents much value outside of the deepest leagues.

Sat Jan 12 201321:56Garrett Temple plays eight minutes off bench
Garrett Temple played just eight minutes in Washington's victory on Saturday.
The D-League call-up had played at least 30 minutes in each of the past three games, but he won't have a significant role as long as A.J. Price and John Wall are active. For deep league owners, it was fun while it lasted.

Mon Jan 7 201315:14Wizards to keep Garrett Temple all season
Garrett Temple's contract will be guaranteed by the Wizards for the rest of the season.
Temple is playing over 31 minutes per game as a starter in the past four games, averaging just 3.5 points with 0.5 threes, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks. He's shooting 4-of-26 from the field in January, but the Wizards' dire need for a PG enabled him to lock up a roster spot.

Sun Jan 6 201320:38Garrett Temple shoots 0-of-7 in loss to Heat
Garrett Temple handed out seven assists in 32 minutes vs. the Heat on Sunday but he was scoreless on 0-of-7 FGs.
Shelvin Mack had seven points with zero assists in 17 minutes off the bench, and it seem Temple will keep the starting PG job until A.J. Price and/or John Wall return. The Wizards' two D-League callups are battling for a roster spot, and Temple is merely an assists specialist.

Sat Jan 5 201300:25Temple flirts with 3x2, Beal scores 24 points
Garrett Temple scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, a career-high 11 assists, and one steal in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Nets.
Temple logged 47 minutes and it's possible he tilted the position battle between he and Shelvin Mack (11 minutes, two points) in his favor tonight. He's definitely the player to own between the two by far, and he's worth a look in most formats after this effort. It's anybody's guess if he can keep it up, but a line like this and a potential month-long starting job are hard to pass up. Bradley Beal scored a career-high 24 points and hit a game-tying three to force double-OT.

Wed Jan 2 201322:37Garrett Temple fails to score in start
Garrett Temple had zero points, seven assists and six fouls in 22 minutes of Wednesday's loss.
Temple is starting at point guard, but we still don't trust the unproven player in Randy Wittman's lineup. Jordan Crawford bounced back tonight with 20 points, and Temple will likely struggle as long as Crawford is still getting heavy minutes off the bench.

Tue Jan 1 201320:55Temple, Mack quiet in loss to Mavericks
Garrett Temple made another start at point guard on Tuesday and finished with six points, three rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in a loss to Dallas.
Shelvin Mack came off the bench for seven points and six assists in 25 minutes, but neither player is a great fantasy option at this point, despite getting heavy minutes for Randy Wittman.

Sat Dec 29 201223:18Garrett Temple plays 41 minutes on Saturday
Garrett Temple played a career-high 41 minutes on Saturday and had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers against the Bulls.
Temple shot 3-of-11 from the field, so it wasn't all good for the newly-signed Wizard. He made a big leap ahead of Shelvin Mack, who played 21 minutes and scored seven points, and Temple is worth a look for any owner seeking a point guard.

Sat Dec 29 201218:54Garrett Temple will start on Saturday vs. CHI
Garrett Temple will start at point guard for the Wizards on Saturday.
Temple started the second half of Friday's game and scored 13 points in 35 minutes. He takes 3-pointers and hasn't been terrible in the steals department, so he has some upside. If you're looking for a point guard in a deeper league, Temple might be your guy.

Fri Dec 28 201222:53Temple posts 13-6-6 line off the bench
Garrett Temple scored 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 35 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Temple started the second half on Friday over Shelvin Mack, and while we can't guarantee that they won't operate in a timeshare it looks like Temple has the upper hand right now. The outing makes him worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Fri Dec 28 201220:28Garrett Temple starts the second half
Garrett Temple started at point guard over Shelvin Mack in the second half.
Mack was scoreless in the first half and Temple is on his way to break his old career-high scoring mark of 17 points. This is a tough blow to Mack's value and those in deeper leagues might want to pounce on Temple before others in your league catch wind of his breakout game.

Wed Dec 26 201207:43Wizards sign G Garrett Temple
Wizards sign G Garrett Temple.
Temple will join Shelvin Mack in the backcourt and look to make some things happen at the point guard position until John Wall (knee) is able to return.

Sun Dec 23 201217:19Washington to call up Garrett Temple
The Wizards will call up Garrett Temple from the D-League.
Temple has played well with the Reno Big Horns, averaging 14.7 points and 5.8 assists in nine games. Even with the Wizards fairly thin in the backcourt, he still has no fantasy value.
