Wed Aug 6 201416:35Ellington traded from Knicks to Raptors on Wednesday
Ellington was traded from the Knicks to the Raptors on Wednesday, USA Today reports.
Ellington, who the Knicks acquired from Dallas earlier this summer, will head to Toronto with big man Jeremy Tyler. In five NBA seasons, Ellington has averaged 6.4 points while shooting 39 percent from three-point range. With the Raptors' roster fairly well-off at shooting guard, Ellington probably shouldn't be on fantasy radars this season.
Fri Jun 27 201412:37Phil says Wayne Ellington a trade filler
President Phil Jackson basically said Wayne Ellington was a trade filler on Thursday, according to Steve Popper of the Bergen Record.
Ellington did play some triangle offense with the Wolves and Kurt Rambis, but he's the easily the least valuable asset of the four players to come back in the six-player deal with the Mavericks. He's no lock to make the Knicks roster.

Wed Jun 25 201418:11Knicks get Wayne Ellington as a throw in guy
The Knicks acquired Wayne Ellington in a trade on Wednesday.
Outside of a decent February with 12.4 minutes per game and a 51.6 field goal percentage, Ellington was quiet last season and didn't crack 11 minutes per game in any other month. He's unlikely to be a factor on the Knicks while they are healthy.

Wayne Ellington (personal) is back with the team for Friday's game against the Blazers.
He played 12.4 minutes per game in February and his return likely bumps Jae Crowder out of the rotation again. Ellington has no fantasy value right now.

Tue Jan 14 201411:27Hitting shots helps to cure Wayne Ellington
Wayne Ellington didn't feel 100 percent during Monday's win over Orlando, but hitting shots helped make him feel better.
Ellington played 21 minutes for the Mavs Monday night and responded with his best game of the season. "I still wasn't feeling too good," he said. "But you feel a lot better when you see shots go in. And we got the win." It's nice to see Ellington feeling better, but we'll still need to see more of Ellington before making a recommendation on him.

Wayne Ellington (illness) set season-bests in points (12) and rebounds (6) over 21 minutes in Monday's game against the Magic.

Mon Jan 13 201419:01Wayne Ellington back for Mavs
Wayne Ellington is expected to be available for Monday's game vs. the Magic.
There is still no word on Shawn Marion for tonight's game. If Marion is out, Ellington might start for the Mavs tonight. Although, Jae Crowder was productive in two starts over the weekend.

Mon Jan 13 201411:56Wayne Ellington (illness) available vs. Magic
Wayne Ellington (illness) will be available on Monday, according to Rick Carlisle.
His return boosts the Mavericks' perimeter shooting but it won't have a substantial impact for fantasy owners, especially if Shawn Marion (shoulder) is in uniform. Ellington has yet to score double-digit points this season.

Sat Jan 11 201419:01Wayne Ellington out again on Saturday
Wayne Ellington (illness) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday.
The Mavericks will likely start Jae Crowder, who played 40 minutes in his start on Friday night. Crowder is worth a look as a spot-start, especially with the Pelicans playing some pathetic defense lately.

Fri Jan 10 201419:45Wayne Ellington is scratched Friday
Wayne Elliington will not play against the Pelicans on Friday night due to an illness.
He was in the starting lineup with Shawn Marion (shoulder, ribs) out on Tuesday, but only played 12 minutes. The Mavs might go with Jae Crowder in the starting lineup while Vince Carter also figures to get more playing time.

Wed Jan 8 201421:28Wayne Ellington plays 12 minutes in start
Wayne Ellington made his first start of the season on Wednesday vs. the Spurs, scoring five points with one 3-pointer in 12 minutes.
He drew the start for the injured Shawn Marion (shoulder) and was more of a placeholder for the Mavs rotation. Even with Marion unlikely to play on Friday, Ellington has very little fantasy value.

Wed Jan 8 201418:58Wayne Ellington will start vs. Spurs
Wayne Ellington will start at small forward for the Mavericks on Wednesday.
He started the second half of Tuesday's game after the injury to Shawn Marion (shoulder) and this is not a surprise. Ellington did only play seven minutes last night, so this is hardly an indication he's going to see big minutes. Jae Crowder and Vince Carter figure to get more shots tonight.

Fri Dec 27 201314:47Wayne Ellington (illness) won't fly with team
Wayne Ellington (illness) will not fly with the team for Saturday's game against the Bulls.
He will rejoin the team later on the road trip. The Mavericks have a bug going around the locker room, so there's no reason to bring a guy that isn't in the rotation with the team. Ellington has no fantasy value while the team is remotely healthy.

Tue Jul 9 201322:32Report: Mavs, Ellington agree on 2-year deal
The Mavericks and Wayne Ellington agreed to terms on a two-year, $5 million-plus contract, league sources tell Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Ellington should have more chances at playing time in a revamped Dallas backcourt next season. The former UNC Tar Heel showed he can produce when given playing time, averaging 11.4 points over the last 19 games of the season. However, he's unlikely to affect many fantasy formats without consistent playing time.

Mon Jul 8 201309:14The Cavs could still bring back Ellington
The Cavaliers could still bring back Wayne Ellington and Daniel Gibson.
Cleveland made a big signing over the weekend, picking up Jarrett Jack to bolster their backcourt rotation. While Gibson had a down year due to numerous injuries, Ellington had some productive games, including am 11.4 points per game average over the last 19 games of the season. Obviously, he would have less opportunity with a healthy Cavs team this year.
