Ellington moved to the bench Tuesday but provided a spark in his new role, posting 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 24 minutes.

Byron Scott tinkered with the starting lineup Tuesday, starting Jeremy Lin alongside Jordan Clarkson in the backcourt. Those two combined for 49 points, but Ellington still had a good bit of run. It wouldn't be surprising if Scott stuck with the Lin-Clarkson combination in the starting lineup, but Tuesday's game suggests Ellington won't necessarily have a big drop off in minutes.

Ellington scored 17 points (6-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with a steal in 30 minutes during Monday's loss to the Warriors.

After a poor night against the Hawks on Sunday, Ellington was able to bounce back with his best scoring performance in a month. He's been a decent source of threes, averaging 1.7 over his last 10 games, but isn't contributing much else of note from a fantasy perspective.

Ellington (illness) started Friday, scoring eight points (3-10 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and adding one assist and two steals.

Friday was probably Ellington's worst game this month, which raises the likelihood that he was still effected by his illness. When fully healthy and producing normally, Ellington can be a strong source of scoring and threes.

Expect the veteran to fill his usual minutes, and hopefully mimic the 15 points per game he averaged in five games prior to the All-Star break.

It's unclear how severe of an illness Ellington is dealing with, but he should be considered questionable to play Friday against Brooklyn until further notice. Prior to the break, Ellington strung together five straight double-digit scoring efforts while averaging more than 34 minutes per game.

Ellington played 34 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Blazers, finishing with 16 points (6-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and a steal.

Ellington has shot a little better over his last two games, combining to go 14-of-27 from the field and 4-of-8 from the three-point line. He continues to be a decent source of three-pointers, hitting at least two in each of his last five games. The eight rebounds Wednesday were a nice bonus for fantasy owners who played him, as it was a new season-high for him.

Ellington was very efficient during Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets, finishing with 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and four rebounds in 30 minutes.

Ellington's scoring was down over his last two games, but he put in a nice performance Tuesday and will try and do the same Wednesday against the Trail Blazers before going into the All-Star break. He has hit at least two three-point shots in each of his last four games, as his fantasy value lies with his point and three-point totals. He continues to play 30 minutes or more and has had at least 10 shot attempts over his last nine outings, so expect him to have similar production moving forward.

Ellington scored seven points (2-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), to go with two rebounds, and a steal in 38 minutes on Sunday.

This was his first poor outing since stepping into the starting lineup to replace Kobe Bryant. He still played heavy minutes, despite his poor shooting performance, which means that Los Angeles isn't backing off of him either. It's still not clear whether he can sustain the level he's playing at, but he's worth the lottery ticket to find out.

Ellington had 23 points (9-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, and three assists in 46 minutes Thursday as the Lakers topped the Bulls in double overtime.

Ellington has now put together two straight 20-point performances. He is getting a ton of shots as well, averaging 13.4 attempts over his last five games. It looks as though he'll be a big beneficiary of Kobe Bryant's absence.

Ellington exploded in Tuesday's loss to the Wizards, finishing with 28 points (12-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and three steals in 36 minutes.

Ellington shot the ball a lot in this game, getting off a season-high of 20 field goal attempts, along with a season-high of nine three-point attempts. Despite the numerous shots, he still had decent percentages as well, going 60 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc. The steals were also a season-high, so those fantasy owners who decided to play him got a bonus. While fantasy owners may get excited about this line, be weary of his inconsistency though, as he hasn't really contributed much in any other category but points since taking over as the starter.

Ellington put up 11 points, six rebounds, and one assist during 28 minutes on the hardwood Friday against the Spurs.

Ellington is in store for an uptick in minutes with the extended absence of Kobe Bryant (shoulder). Although, Ellington still struggles on the court and won't likely make his way into standard-league relevancy, even in major minutes.

With Kobe Bryant likely to miss the rest of the season, Ellington could take the starting shooting guard job and run with it. That said, beyond three-point shooting, there are not a lot of categories where Ellington will be a major contributor, even as a starter.

Ellington returned to a reserve role in Wednesday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, finishing with 12 points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 18 minutes.

Ellington moved back to the bench, as Kobe Bryant returned to the starting lineup. Despite playing only 18 minutes, he was very efficient with his playing time. Bryant left this game with a sore right shoulder, so there's a very good chance Ellington will end up starting Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. If that happens, he'll be worth keeping an eye on, as he'll probably play somewhere in the high 20's in minutes and could offer some production for those in deeper leagues.

Ellington got the start Friday with Kobe Bryant (rest) out, and had a quiet night, scoring nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT) and finishing the game with four rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes.

With Bryant resting frequently (and possibly being shut down later on in the year) Ellington could be worth a stash in some leagues, but for the time being, he's not much of an option. When Bryant returns, Ellington will slide back to the bench, where he's averaging 6.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and one assist per game this season.

Ellington will return to the starting lineup against the Jazz on Friday since Kobe Bryant (rest) will not play, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Ellington's value is completely contingent on whether or not Bryant is playing. If Bryant plays, then Ellington is stuck on the pine. If Bryant sits, then Ellington starts and plays significant minutes. This trend will likely continue for the rest of the season until Bryant decides to shut it down.

Ellington moved back to a bench role Tuesday with Kobe Bryant (rest) back in action, and Ellington didn't receive any run, collecting a DNP-Coach's Decision.

Ellington has averaged 10.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.4 steals, and 1.6 three-pointers in 30 minutes per game through seven starts this season. Even if Bryant decides to shut it down at some point and Ellington gets a regular gig, he's only going to be of use for modest scoring and three-pointers, which is always available on the waiver wire.

Ellington will stay in the starting lineup against Portland on Sunday with Kobe Bryant resting.

Ellington was reportedly losing his spot in the starting five with the return of Wesley Johnson (hip) to the lineup Sunday, although Ellington will continue to start thanks to Bryant needing rest. As it stands, Ellington seems like the probable starter at shooting guard whenever Bryant is out of the lineup.

Ellington will lose his spot in the starting lineup upon Wesley Johnson's (hip) eventual return from injury, the OC Register reports.

Ellington's impending demotion will strike a blow to the bump in value he's had over the Lakers' previous two games. Although, Johnson will not play against the Magic on Friday, so Ellington has at least one more game with increased potential.

Ellington will start Wednesday against the Clippers.

With Ronnie Price (face) out, Ellington will get an opportunity to start at shooting guard alongside Jeremy Lin and Kobe Bryant. He saw 29 minutes of action in Monday's contest after Price suffered a broken nose, and should see a similar body of work Wednesday.
