Tue Dec 28 201000:20Flynn still on a playing time limit
Jonny Flynn is still on a pretty tight minute limit, playing just 16 minutes on his way to three points on 1-of-3 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, three assists, and one steal on Monday.
Luke Ridnour is playing pretty well right now, and there's simply no reason to rush Flynn back into action. If you were counting on Flynn to possibly unseat Ridnour quickly upon arrival, it's just not going to happen.
Sun Dec 19 201002:48Flynn scores 12 points off the bench
Jonny Flynn scored 12 points off the bench on Saturday, hitting 5-of-7 shots from the field (no threes) with four rebounds, two assists, and a block in 24 minutes.
Luke Ridnour scored just three points on 1-of-7 shooting with four rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block in 24 minutes, and they have officially entered a time-share. Now, the trick will be seeing if one of them can bust out.
Wed Dec 15 201004:23Flynn (hip) returns to action on Saturday
Jonny Flynn made his season debut after hip surgery cost him 24 games to start the season, scoring three points on 1-of-2 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and four assists in 16 minutes on Tuesday.
If you're in a deeper league picking up Flynn makes a lot of sense given his upside potential, but in standard leagues we'd take a wait and see approach.

Jonny Flynn returned to action on Tuesday December 14.
Tue Dec 14 201016:19Flynn won't be on minute cap
Jonny Flynn (hip) will not be on a minutes restriction in his season debut Tuesday night.
Flynn did a rehab assignment in the NBADL, so he's a full go. We are expecting him to come off the bench behind Luke Ridnour and his minutes will depend solely on how he looks. Eventually, Flynn will settle into an even timeshare with Ridnour.

Mon Dec 13 201014:55Flynn, Webster expected to play Tuesday
Jonny Flynn (hip) and Martell Webster (back) are expected to be active for the Wolves on Tuesday.
That means both should play, although expect their minutes to be limited in the first few games back. If you need a point guard and Flynn is out there, he's worth a look. But beware of a serious timeshare developing between he and Luke Ridnour.

Mon Dec 13 201012:53Wolves recall Jonny Flynn from D-League
The Timberwolves have recalled Jonny Flynn (hip) from the D-League and he should make his season debut on Tuesday.
Its possible the Wolves will hold him out for a few more practices, but his return is imminent. Luke Ridnour takes a clear hit, and it's not a given that Flynn will even be worth owning in average leagues.

Thu Dec 9 201009:47Flynn targeting Tuesday
Jonny Flynn (hip) is tentatively targeting Tuesday's game in Golden State for his 2010 debut.
Flynn is with the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce right now for two games. Assuming all goes well, look for him to come off the bench for the Wolves Tuesday night. Eventually, he'll be part of an even timeshare with Luke Ridnour.

Tue Dec 7 201010:22Flynn headed back to D-League
Jonny Flynn (hip) will return to the NBADL for two more games this weekend.
The Wolves still aren't comfortable with Flynn's progress. He'll go back down to the D-League and try to shake some more rust off. At this point, the earliest Flynn will play for the Wolves looks like Tuesday in Golden State.

Sun Dec 5 201003:04Flynn rejoins Wolves, still inactive
Jonny Flynn (hip) returned from the D-League to join the Wolves on Saturday, but was still inactive and could also return to the D-League pending an evaluation on his hip in the next few days.
He reportedly looked sharp but rusty in his D-League debut on Friday, and he presents a level of intrigue given his high draft selection and possibility of breakout, which is ultimately chased by the presence of Luke Ridnour. Take a flier on him if you're desperate at PG, but don't expect too much.
Sat Dec 4 201010:56Jonny Flynn makes D-League debut
Jonny Flynn made his D-League debut on Friday, notching eight points, nine assists, and six turnovers in 24 minutes.
Flynn had cramps that prevented him from playing in the final stages of the game, but it doesn't sound serious. He could play another game or two for the Skyforce, but his return to the Wolves is imminent.
Wed Dec 1 201013:13Flynn (hip) to join D League on Friday
Jonny Flynn (hip surgery) is expected to play for Sioux Falls of the D League on Friday in preparation for a return next week.
Assuming Flynn doesn't have any setbacks Friday, it looks like he'll be rejoining the T'Wolves on Monday or Wednesday of next week. He'll most likely be in a value-limiting platoon with Luke Ridnour, but is still worth adding if you're in need of a point guard.

Mon Nov 29 201016:30Flynn likely to get a warmup game in D League
Jonny Flynn is likely to play in the D League when he returns from hip surgery, at least for a game or two.
He'll play for Sioux Falls and is likely to play during one of their upcoming home games, which are this Friday, Saturday and Tuesday. If you need a point guard badly, it's probably time to pick him up.

Mon Nov 29 201014:27Flynn plays 3-on-3
Jonny Flynn (hip) played 3-on-3 after Sunday's practice.
It's your Flynn update of the day. He continues to push himself, but we still don't have a target date. A lot will depend on how his surgically-repaired hip responds to intense workouts like this.

Fri Nov 26 201015:13Flynn still not ready to return for Wolves
Jonny Flynn is closer to returning from hip surgery, but Kurt Rambis says he's not yet ready.
"He's not day-to-day," said Rambis. "Jonny will be ready when he's ready." He might be worth a pickup right now, but Flynn is likely going to share time with Luke Ridnour and Sebastian Telfair when he is ready to play.

Tue Nov 23 201019:15Flynn (hip) goes through full practice on Tue
Jonny Flynn (hip) made it through a full practice on Tuesday, but there is no word as to whether his timetable has been stepped up from the projected late-November to early-December target.
Nikola Pekovic also shot around and jogged lightly but did not practice. The Wolves play Wednesday, but it would be kind of shocking if he suddenly shaved a week or two off of his return date. We'll keep you updated, but unless you're trying to squeeze a couple of games out of Luke Ridnour it shouldn't matter.

Sat Nov 20 201021:26Flynn says he has 'mental barrier' with hip
Jonny Flynn admitted to having a mental block with regard to his injured hip, saying he doesn't have the confidence to exert it past a certain point.
"In my mind, you feel tightness in certain areas, so you don't want to go past certain barriers," Flynn said Saturday. "That's why you don't see me exploding like I used to or showing that pop in my legs. I'm still trying to get past that." His timetable to return has been pushed back to early-December.

Thu Nov 18 201009:58Rambis: Flynn still a ways away
Coach Kurt Rambis said Jonny Flynn (hip) is still "a ways away" from playing in a game.
Rambis said yesterday that Flynn might even need a stint in the D-League before getting back on the court for the Wolves, so we certainly won't see Flynn within the next week. Luke Ridnour and Sebastian Telfair will form an even timeshare until Flynn gets back.

Wed Nov 17 201012:31Flynn may need stint in D-League?
Coach Kurt Rambis said that Jonny Flynn may need a short tuneup stint in the D-League before returning to action.
We haven't really heard of NBA teams using the D-League as a spot for rehab assignments, but the Wolves certainly do things their own way. Regardless, this confirms that Flynn is not that close. Sebastian Telfair and Luke Ridnour will share duties for at least the next few days, if not more.
