Mon Mar 5 201223:04Gee scores 15 points in another start at SF
Alonzo Gee scored 15 points in the Cavs' 109-100 loss to the Jazz on Monday, hitting 5-of-11 shots from the field (including three treys) with four rebounds, three assists, and one block in another start at small forward.
Gee has been worth owning in 12-team leagues for much of the last month and he's a must-own player in those formats right now. If he continues to play like this he'll be worth an add in 10-team formats too.

Mon Mar 5 201211:34Alonzo Gee to stick as a starter for Cavs?
Coach Byron Scott suggested that Alonzo Gee will stick as his starting small forward.
Omri Casspi had 34 games to prove he's an NBA starter and failed. He has accepted the demotion graciously, saying he thinks it will be "good for me and the team." Gee is averaging 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.0 3-pointers in four starts this season. "It's best to put more athleticism out there and guys with more energy," Scott said when asked about the lineup change.

Sat Mar 3 201222:16Alonzo Gee looks good in start at SF
Making his fourth start of the season, Alonzo Gee had 11 points, one 3-pointer, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Cavaliers' loss on Saturday.
The Cavs got off to a quick start after the lineup changes, and Gee shouldn't have much trouble holding off under-producing Omri Casspi (three points in 10 minutes). Gee has been a borderline fantasy option in 28 minutes per game this year, so he should be worth owning in average leagues as a starter.

Sat Mar 3 201219:07Alonzo Gee, Ryan Hollins to start for Cavs
Alonzo Gee will start at SF for the Cavs on Saturday, replacing Omri Casspi.
Ryan Hollins is also expected to start in place of Semih Erden, who may have dropped completely out of the rotation. Samardo Samuels is also likely to pick up extra minutes at center, as the Cavs attempt to fill the void left by injured Anderson Varejao.

Fri Mar 2 201223:53Alonzo Gee's struggles continue on Fri.
Alonzo Gee, who has been in a major shooting slump recently, continued to struggle on Friday, scoring just six points on 3-of-11 shooting off the bench
Gee has only shot 50 percent or better once in his last eight games. Coach Byron Scott was not happy after the game, saying lineup changes could be a possibility. If that's true, Gee could be a player that sees his minutes cut significantly, which would all but put an end to his fantasy value.

Tue Feb 21 201222:18Alonzo Gee posts double-double in win
Alonzo Gee came off the bench and played through a nose injury to finish with 16 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and a 3-pointer on 5-of-11 shooting.
He made a key play late, gathering his own rebound and dunking it home to help secure the win for the Cavs. This was the first double-double of his career, but he's also hit double digits in scoring in six of his last 11 games. He's playing well enough to be given a look in many fantasy leauges.

Tue Feb 21 201219:55Alonzo Gee questionable to return Tuesday
Alonzo Gee is questionable to return to Tuesday's game after suffering a nose contusion.
We're guessing he'll return to the game, but he's on the bench for now.

Fri Feb 17 201223:50Gee starts on Friday but struggles mightily
Alonzo Gee started for the short-handed Cavaliers on Friday night, but scored just nine points on 4-of-14 shooting points as Cleveland got blown out by the Heat.
The good news for Gee and his owners is that he played 30 minutes tonight, and he will continue to see plenty of action as long as Anthony Parker (back) and Daniel Gibson (ankle) are out. He is capable of helping out across the board, so owners that invested in Gee should stick with him for now.

Wed Feb 15 201223:54Gee struggles to hit his shot on Wednesday
Alonzo Gee hit just 2-of-11 shots from the field (no threes) on Wednesday, scoring eight points with five rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 28 minutes.
Gee has been worth owning in 12-team, 8- and 9-cat leagues over the past week or so, and we wouldn't hold tonight's result against him after Daniel Gibson's ankle injury. His sub-30 minute role will remain intact for the foreseeable future.

Sat Feb 11 201222:19Alonzo Gee scores 17 points in 24 minutes
Alonzo Gee scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench vs. Cleveland.
Gee has really improved his game this season, and over the past two weeks he's returning seventh-round fantasy value in nine-cat leagues. He's not a glamorous pickup, but you can certainly do worse.

Sat Feb 11 201200:58Alonzo Gee scores 18 points against Bucks
Alonzo Gee scored 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, one assist, and one block in 31 minutes on Friday against the Bucks.
Gee also had four turnovers, and Omri Casspi looked good with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 27 minutes, but Gee is still the player to own between the two. And with Anderson Varejao possibly missing time, it's time to look at Gee as an add and hold him if you already picked him up.

Tue Feb 7 201222:40Alonzo Gee plays well in first start
Alonzo Gee made his first start (at shooting guard) for the banged up Cavs on Tuesday and had 17 points, one rebound, one assist, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer on 6-of-11 shooting in 35 minutes.
Surprisingly, Gee has now hit double digits in five straight games and has racked up 12 steals over that stretch. If you had the foresight to pick him up and plug him in this week, congratulations, but he's expected to take a hit once Daniel Gibson and Anthony Parker are back from their injuries.

Tue Feb 7 201218:22Alonzo Gee to start at shooting guard
Alonzo Gee will start at shooting guard for the Cavs in Tuesday's game against the Heat.
Daniel Gibson (neck) and Anthony Parker (back) are injured and Mychel Thompson has been waived. That leaves Gee, who has played at least 29 minutes in four straight games anyway. During that span, he's averaging 14.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.2 3-pointers. There's some plug-n-play value here for deep leaguers.

Sat Feb 4 201222:57Alonzo Gee plays 30 minutes off bench
Alonzo Gee had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for Cleveland on Saturday, playing 30 minutes off the bench.
Gee made 5-of-12 shots, including a 3-pointer, and is the primary beneficiary of injuries to Anthony Parker and Daniel Gibson. As long as those two players are sidelined, he's worth spot-starting in most formats.

Fri Feb 3 201223:01Alonzo Gee scores 20 points off the bench
Alonzo Gee scored 20 points off the bench on Friday against the Magic, hitting 7-of-12 shots from the field (including three treys) to go with five rebounds and a block in 30 minutes off the bench.
Starting SF Omri Casspi wasn't all that bad with nine points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds in 17 minutes, but this line from Gee is going to get attention from both fantasy owners and also Byron Scott, who is mentoring Gee this year. Gee had scored in double figures in the two games prior to tonight and also had four steals in both contests. He can hit the 3-ball and has enough versatility to provide decent upside, too. We're not calling him a must-add player in 12-team leagues, but he looks like a nice speculative add right now.

Tue Jan 31 201214:27Alonzo Gee to get the nod at SG?
Coach Byron Scott has not named a starting shooting guard for Tuesday's game against the Celtics.
Anthony Parker (back) and Daniel Gibson (neck) are both out. That leaves Ramon Sessions, Alonzo Gee and Mychel Thompson as options. No matter who starts, all three figure to see minutes based on game flow. Even the most desperate owners should be able to do better for a spot-start.

Sat Jan 7 201202:44Gee winning position battle with Casspi
Alonzo Gee scored 11 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-7 shots from the field (including a three) with six rebounds, one assist, two steals, and a block in 27 minutes.
There's reason to like this stat line, but Gee is much too inconsistent right now to own in 12-team formats. If he ever can overtake ice-cold Omri Casspi for the starting job, then he'll be worth a look.

Tue Aug 23 201107:46Alonzo Gee signs with Asseco Prokom Gdynia
Alonzo Gee has signed with the Polish team Asseco Prokom.
He signed a one-year deal with the club. Gee made some noise last season and was actually serviceable in deeper fantasy leagues at certain points, but it seems that he didn't want to risk anything in the face of an extended work stoppage. He should garner interest stateside if and when the action resumes.
