Shumpert posted 16 points, four rebounds, and one steal in 34 minutes of action in Game 2's Eastern Conference Finals win against the Hawks.
Shumpert has seen his opportunities increase with Kyrie Irving ailing, and it's encouraging to see him produce as a result. Look for him to continue his aggressive play when the Cavaliers face the Hawks in Game 3.

Shumpert has been struggling from long range. In his last five playoff games, he has hit just 24 percent of his 3-pointers (6-of-25). He continues to provide strong perimeter defense, so his minutes should not decrease.

Shumpert had 13 points (5-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 36 minutes in the win over Chicago on Thursday.
Shumpert shot the ball well in the first two games of the series, but cooled off considerably - possibly because of a sore groin. He should get some rest before the Eastern Conference finals and continue to start.

Shumpert is experiencing soreness in his groin following Tuesday's Game 5 win over Chicago, Cavs' play-by-play man Fred McLeod reports.
Shumpert tweaked his groin in Game 2 but has not missed any time, and coach David Blatt said he anticipates Shumpert feeling better prior to Game 6. If Shumpert was at all bothered by the injury during Game 5 it was not noticeable, as he finished with 13 points (6-10 FG) to go with seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 42 minutes.

Shumpert scored a combined 13 points in the two games in Chicago, so it appears that he enjoys home cooking - at least in this series. He has averaged 16.7 points in the three home games, but his 3-point shot did not return in Game 5.

Shumpert scored five points (1-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and grabbed four boards in 32 minutes in the win over Chicago on Sunday.
Shumpert hit eight 3-pointers in the first two games of the series, but went 3-of-13 from downtown in the two games in Chicago. His scoring has decreased in each of the four games (22, 15, eight, and five). Maybe Shumpert will find his 3-point stroke in Cleveland on Tuesday in Game 5.
Sun May 10 201515:19Iman Shumpert: Continues To Start Sunday
Shumpert will remain in the starting lineup for Game 4 against the Bulls on Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Shumpert was given the start in place of the suspended J.R. Smith for the first two games of the Chicago series and coach David Blatt has kept the continuity of Shumpert starting at shooting guard even though Smith's suspension has ended. At 24-years-old, Shumpert spent 37 minutes on the court in Game 3.

Shumpert was limited to 29 minutes on Wednesday after straining his groin. He was able to play his starter's complement of minutes and has hit 10 3-pointers in the three games against Chicago. It will be interesting to see if coach David Blatt sticks with Shumpert in the starting lineup with J.R. Smith (suspension) back.
Fri May 8 201519:51Iman Shumpert: (Groin) Will Start Friday
Shumpert (groin) will start in Friday's Game 3 against the Bulls, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Shumpert is coming into Game 3 with a minor groin injury but coach David Blatt still decided to go with Shumpert over J.R. Smith (suspension). The 24-year-old averaged 35 minutes on the court in the first two games of the series but could see that total drop with Smith available for the first time against the Bulls.
Fri May 8 201519:01Iman Shumpert: (Groin) Will Play Friday
Shumpert (groin) will play in Friday's Game 3 against the Bulls, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Shumpert suffered a minor groin injury in Game 2 on Wednesday but its apparently not severe enough to hold him off the court. He started in the first two games of the Chicago series but is likely headed back to his normal role off the bench with J.R. Smith returning from suspension Friday.
Fri May 8 201510:40Iman Shumpert: (Groin) Remains Hopeful For Game 3
Shumpert (groin) will go through shootaround Friday before the team makes a decision on his status for Game 3, Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Shumpert tweaked his groin in Game 2, and while it doesn't look to be anything serious, he's still dealing with some discomfort, and there is a chance he could sit out Game 3. With J.R. Smith set to return from suspension, the Cavs could weather the blow, but a Shumpert absence would likely mean more minutes for James Jones and Mike Miller, two players who come nowhere close to matching Shumpert's ability on the defensive end.
Thu May 7 201513:57Iman Shumpert: (Groin) Hopeful For Game 3
Shumpert (groin) is hopeful to play in Game 3 against the Bulls on Friday, Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Coach David Blatt said Shumpert was feeling a little bit better Thursday after he exited Wednesday's Game 2 win with a pulled left groin. Shumpert was seen favoring the groin after an offensive sequence, and he rode an exercise bike near the bench after leaving the game. He did return to the contest, but he's experiencing soreness, so the team will wait until Friday to update his Game 3 status.

Shumpert again was in the starting lineup during Wednesday's win over the Bulls, finishing with 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three steals.
Shumpert received the start, as J.R. Smith continued to sit out due to a suspension. Shumpert played well and has now combined for 37 points, eight rebounds and four steals over his last two games while in the starting lineup. He temporarily went to the locker room with a groin strain and was seen on the exercise bike for a period of time, but eventually he returned, which is a good sign for his availability moving forward. With Smith returning from his suspension Friday, Shumpert will likely return to a bench role and could lose some minutes as well.

Shumpert (groin) has gone back to the Cavaliers' locker room after suffering an apparent groin injury during Wednesday's Game 3 matchup with the Bulls, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
Shumpert made his second straight start Wednesday and had been one of Cleveland's most effective players, scoring 15 points and pulling down six rebounds. Should Shumpert be held out for the rest of the game, the Cavaliers would be very short-handed at shooting guard with J.R Smith sidelined due to a suspension.

Shumpert scored 22 points (8-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with one rebound, one assist and one steal in 41 minutes in Game 1 Monday against the Bulls.
Shumpert started in place of J.R. Smith (suspension) and hit several big shots throughout the game. Although he might not score 22 points again in Game 2, he should start and have a significant role again.
Mon May 4 201519:00Iman Shumpert: Starting Game 1
Shumpert will get the start at shooting guard in Game 1 against the Bulls on Monday, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
As expected, Shumpert will fill in for J.R. Smith, who is suspended for the first two games of the series. Mike Miller will also enter the starting lineup, taking the place of Kevin Love (shoulder) as LeBron James shifts up to power forward. Once Smith returns for Game 3, he'll likely reclaim the shooting guard spot, so Shumpert could either shift back to the bench or move to small forward.

Shumpert is expected to move into the starting lineup for Monday's Game 1 against the Bulls, Chris Haynes of CSN reports.
With J.R. Smith suspended for the first two games of the series, Shumpert is the obvious candidate to fill in at shooting guard. The Cavs are yet to release an official starting lineup, but Shumpert will likely be flanked by either Mike Miller or James Jones with LeBron James likely moving up to the power forward spot.
Mon May 4 201500:11Shumpert will likely replace J.R
Shumpert will likely replace J.R. Smith (suspension) in the starting lineup for Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Bulls, ESPN.com reports.
Even if Cleveland makes the odd decision to use a different replacement in the starting lineup, Shumpert is sure to have a larger role than he did for most of the first round. He played 32, 26 and 21 minutes in the first three games of Cleveland's sweep over Boston, but then logged 38 minutes in the fourth and final game, as J.R. Smith was ejected from the contest. It wouldn't be shocking to see Shumpert push 40 minutes for the short-handed Cavs in the first two games of the upcoming series.
