Fri Apr 1 201122:18QRich plays, scores 14 points in win
Quentin Richardson returned from a back injury and hit just 3-of-11 shots, finishing with 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two threes in 34 minutes.
He had missed three straight games and this was the most minutes he'd played in a game since early December. While it's interesting, he probably does more to harm the value of a guy like Ryan Anderson (three points, 1-of-6 shooting, 22 minutes) than anything else.

Fri Apr 1 201113:16Q-Rich ready to return on Friday
Magic forward Quentin Richardson participated in Friday's shootaround and should be able to play against the Bobcats.
Richardson has missed three straight games but could be forced into a decent amount of minutes due to Orlando's backcourt injury woes. Just don't expect anything from him beyond a few 3-pointers.

Wed Mar 30 201113:10Richardson does not take part in shootaround
Quentin Richardson (back) did not participate in shootaround and remains questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
It looks like Richardson is going to sit out as a precaution. He was a poor bet to top 15 minutes off the bench anyway.

Tue Mar 29 201110:43Richardson feeling better
Quentin Richardson (back) said he "feels a lot better" and is tentatively expected to play against the Hawks Wednesday.
Richardson has missed two straight games after his back locked up on him last week. He's averaging just 10.5 minutes per game in 33 stints off the bench this season.

Sun Mar 27 201112:47Quentin Richardson out again on Monday
Quentin Richardson will miss another game on Monday due to back spasms.
Q-Rich plays sporadic minutes off the bench anyway, so this shouldn't impact fantasy rosters.

Fri Mar 25 201122:49Richardson out with back spasms on Friday
Quentin Richardson did not play on Friday due to back spasms.
He has fallen out of the rotation for the most part, and is a long-shot to have any fantasy value this season.

Fri Mar 18 201115:48Magic to expand rotation
In a bid to improve his team's energy, Magic coach Stan Van Gundy intends to expand the rotation to include more of Quentin Richardson and Earl Clark.
"Maybe increasing our rotation a little bit, which decreases some guys minutes a little bit, might help us in terms of energy and things like that," said SVG. This doesn't mean that Q-Rich and Clark will be worth owning, but it could dent the production of Jason Richardson, Brandon Bass, and Ryan Anderson.

Mon Jan 3 201122:28Q-Rich plays 52 seconds in return from flu
Quentin Richardson (flu) returned to action on Monday, playing 52 seconds without logging any other statistics.
Sadly, we don't know if this is what he plays now when he is healthy, or if Stan Van Gundy was going easy on him because he was sick. That should tell you enough about where his fantasy value lies.
Thu Dec 30 201012:03Richardson out again Thursday
Quentin Richardson (illness) will not play against the Knicks Thursday.
Q-Rich is headed for some DNP-CDs even when healthy.

Wed Dec 29 201010:43QRich sits with the flu
Quentin Richardson missed Tuesday's win over the Cavs due to flu-like symptoms.
The Magic didn't miss Richardson. Since the trades that brought Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu and Gilbert Arenas to town, he has fallen out of the rotation.

Fri Dec 24 201010:10Q-Rich fading from Magic rotation
Quentin Richardson is averaging just 6.3 minutes per game since Orlando traded for Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, and Gilbert Arenas.
Q-Rich has become a situational player off Orlando's bench, and recognizes that this stacked team needs him to "try to slow down a star player." It would take an injury or two for him to have any fantasy appeal.

Sat Dec 18 201023:06Q-Rich goes for six and nine on Saturday
Quentin Richardson started at small forward on Saturday, playing 44 minutes total, and finishing with six points on 3-of-9 shooting with nine rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
He's inconsistent when getting heavy minutes, so after the influx of all the wing players in Saturday's trade he'll have a very hard time carrying fantasy value. The waiver wire is where he belongs.
Tue Dec 14 201015:39Q-Rich (elbow) out Tue., X-rays inconclusive
Quentin Richardson will not play on Tuesday because of a left elbow injury he sustained during Monday's practice.
X-rays were inconclusive and more tests are forthcoming. In the meantime, Brandon Bass continues to start for Orlando, with Rashard Lewis at SF and Mickael Pietrus getting a big boost in his backup role.

Mon Dec 13 201020:14Q-Rich hurts elbow in practice on Monday
Quentin Richardson hurt his left elbow in practice on Monday, but coach Stan Van Gundy believes that he will play on Tuesday.
He will have X-rays taken some time between now and Tuesday's game, but for now this seems like only a minor incident. If he can't go or is limited, then Brandon Bass will be worth a look in a spot start.

Sun Dec 5 201001:00Richardson scores 16 points vs. Bucks
Quentin Richardson scored 16 points on 6-of-14 shooting (1-of-5 from downtown) with four rebounds, one assist, and a steal in 33 minutes of action on Saturday.
You'll notice a theme for our Magic blurbs tonight, and that is that the flu that kept Jameer Nelson, Dwight Howard, J.J. Redick, and Mickael Pietrus out, while Ryan Anderson is also out with a foot injury. So no, we're not running to the wire to grab Q-Rich after his 16-point night.
Sat Nov 27 201021:58Q-Rich scores season-high 20 points
Quentin Richardson scored a season-high 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including four threes) with six rebounds and two assists in Saturday's game against the Wizards.
He'll do this every once in a while, but he doesn't have a consistent starting spot and has scored in double-digits just three times this year prior to tonight. Until he does this a whole lot more, we're staying away.
Wed Nov 17 201016:28Q-Rich misses practice due to illness
Quentin Richardson did not practice on Wednesday due to an illness.
Q-Rich is expected to play on Thursday against Phoenix, but his scoring average (5.6 points per game) is a glaring reminder of why he's not an option in standard leagues.

Fri Nov 12 201012:11Q-Rich will start again vs. Raptors
Quentin Richardson will return to Orlando's starting lineup vs. the Raptors on Friday -- and he will remain a start for the "foreseeable future."
The Magic had been shuffling between Q-Rich and Ryan Anderson based upon matchups, but are looking to "stabilize" the rotation. Even as a regular starter, Richardson doesn't offer much beyond a handful of 3-pointers and rebounds.

Thu Nov 11 201011:45Richardson part of platoon
The Magic plan on starting Ryan Anderson against bigger teams and Quentin Richardson against the rest of the league.
Since the Magic played the bulky Jazz on Wednesday, Ryan Anderson started (and was quickly pulled in favor of Brandon Bass). When they play Toronto on Friday, Richardson will likely start. Regardless, there's no fantasy upside from any of these guys as the fifth option on offense.

Mon Nov 8 201023:39Q-Rich plays 19 minutes off the bench
Quentin Richardson was a casualty of coach Stan Van Gundy's decision to go big on Monday, playing just 19 minutes off the bench to finish with two points, three rebounds, a steal, and an assist.
Now that Stan looks like he's open to changing his lineup based on the opposition, owning Richardson just isn't a viable option in weekly formats. In daily formats, he could be worth spot-starting in the games you know he'll be starting, but that's a lot of hassle for a guy that isn't consistent.
