Sat Nov 6 201021:38Q-Rich starts again at small forward
Quentin Richardson returned to his role as the starting small forward for the Magic on Saturday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting (3-of-10 from downtown) with three rebounds, one assist, and one block in 35 minutes.
It looks like the Ryan Anderson experiment at PF has ended, although we can't imagine that Stan Van Gundy is happy with that shooting percentage. Until we hear otherwise, though, Q-Rich should be treated as he was prior to the shakeup -- a volatile option for those in deeper formats.
Wed Nov 3 201023:24Richardson benched for Anderson in Orlando
Quentin Richardson was benched in favor of Ryan Anderson Wednesday, finishing with nine points, eight boards, two threes and two steals off the bench.
He wasn't all that great when starting and probably loses the little fantasy value he had if he's now permanently coming off the bench. He looked good tonight, but this game was over early as the Magic blew out the Wolves.
Sat Oct 30 201000:05Richardson 0-for-5 in loss to Heat
Quentin Richardson missed all five of his shots for two points and six rebounds Friday.
He had seven points in his last one, but could be replaced in the starting five by Mickael Pietrus at any time. But Pietrus hasn't looked great, either.
Thu Oct 28 201023:58Q-Rich posts balanced line in blowout win
Quentin Richardson posted a balanced line in the Magic's blowout win on Thursday, scoring seven points on 2-of-3 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds and five assists in 26 minutes.
A hot or cold guy if there ever was one, Q-Rich has been flirting with some unexpected value in the assists column this year. If he can keep it up, he may become less maddening to own.
Thu Oct 28 201011:43Richardson to start for Magic
Quentin Richardson will start at small forward for the Magic in Thursday's opener, as expected.
Richardson's 3-point shooting fits perfectly with the Magic's "four around one" style, but he's going to be very inconsistent. The Magic are really deep and Richardson can be red hot one night and ice cold the next. Predicting his big games will be impossible.

Mon Oct 18 201022:29Richardson (quad) returns to action Monday
Quentin Richardson (quadriceps) returned to action in Monday's preseason game against the Hawks, and scored seven points on 2-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, and a 3-pointer in 32 minutes.
The starting job is his and the injury was never serious, and given his history owners have to draft him as an inconsistent 3-point shooter, even if there have been signs that his game is maturing in other areas.
Sat Oct 16 201022:45Richardson sits out with quad contusion
Quentin Richardson, who was already scheduled for a day off, actually needed it due to a thigh contusion he suffered Thursday's when colliding with Charlotte's Gerald Wallace.
Nobody around the Magic is overly concerned about this and neither are we. What's more concerning is his penchant for disappearing every other game, and the fact that he has to split time with Michael Pietrus. If you need threes and can deal with the ups and downs, he's your guy.
Thu Oct 14 201023:30Q-Rich gets hot in preseason action
Quentin Richardson got hot in Thursday's preseason game, scoring 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting (4-of-9 from downtown) with three rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes off the bench.
This is "good" Q-Rich, and if you're gutsy enough to use him you'll have to be willing to take the 1-for-7 clunkers he's bound to put up. The good news is that he has all but locked the starting SF job up, and by all accounts has been a good addition to the locker room.
Tue Oct 5 201012:47Richardson draws start at SF
Quentin Richardson will start Tuesday's preseason opener at small forward.
The Magic are sticking with their "four around one" scheme as Rashard Lewis once again lines up at power forward. Richardson will certainly have some big games shooting treys, but will be wildly inconsistent while sharing time with Mickael Pietrus. Lewis will also get burn at small forward. We'd avoid Richardson even if he hangs on to the starting job through the preseason.

Thu Sep 30 201001:23Richardson rips Heat, misses practice
Quentin Richardson isn't thrilled with the new-look Heat, and also missed Wednesday's practice with a tight hamstring.
The injury isn't serious and he should be scrimmaging soon. As for the Heat, Richardson had the following thoughts. "Bleep the Heat...with all due respect," he said. "I don't spend my time and my days thinking about them," Richardson continued. "We got to focus on ourselves. We got enough to worry about." Q is expected to start at small forward, but that could change, as Stan Van Gundy is thinking about using Rashard Lewis there instead.

Mon Jul 12 201013:49Q-Rich agrees to multi-year deal with Magic
Quentin Richardson has agreed in principle to a multi-year contract with the Magic, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Details of the contract should be available soon, and we're wondering how this impacts their ability (or desire) to re-sign shooting guard J.J. Redick. Q-Rich can still get hot from downtown, which will serve him well in Orlando, but he's a very streaky fantasy option.

Tue Apr 27 201010:28Richardson doesn't expect to be limited
Quentin Richardson does not expect to be limited by a bruised left hand he suffered in Game 4.
Q-Rich had an MRI on Sunday that revealed no serious damage. He's a righty anyway, so he'll be fine to jack up plenty of 3-pointers. Richardson is averaging 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.25 treys a night through the first four games of the series.

Sun Apr 25 201018:31Q-Richardson to play despite bruised hand
Quentin Richardson exited Sunday's game in the second half with a bruised his left hand, but he said he'll absolutely play in Game 5.
Q-Rich had a splint on his left ring finger after the game and this won't help his accuracy, but with Miami facing elimination they'll need all hands on deck -- even bruised hands.
Mon Apr 12 201021:44Heat win behind Q-Rich double-double
The Heat won on Monday behind Quentin Richardson's fifth double-double of the season -- 15 points and 12 rebounds in under 30 minutes of action.
This was the second-most rebounds that Q has grabbed all season, and he even tied his season-high with four assists. Richardson's inconsistency has been well established, but maybe he'll stay hot vs. New Jersey on Wednesday.
Wed Apr 7 201022:45Richardson has four steals
Quentin Richardson had nine points, six rebounds, four steals, three assists and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.
Richardson is going to get 23-28 minutes a night and he's going to make treys. Everything else should be considered a bonus, but he's a category hunter's dream.
