Sun Jan 8 202302:44Bam Adebayo Questionable Against The Nets
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (thigh) is questionable for Sunday's bout against the Brooklyn Nets. The 25-year-old had a double-double, two steals, and a block on Friday versus the Suns. However, he popped up on the injury report because of a left posterior thigh bruise. Adebayo will likely do all he can to get out there for this pivotal Eastern Conference showdown. But if he can't suit up, Haywood Highsmith, who's averaged 8.6 points, 5.2 boards, and 2.0 steals in five starts this year, would be the favorite to enter the starting lineup.

Thu Jan 5 202312:42Bam Adebayo Posts Full Stat Line In Wednesday Night Loss
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo led the way during a forgettable night as the team dropped the game to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. The 25-year-old posted his third 30-point game in a row as he ended with exactly 30 points on 13-for-23 shooting from the floor. He also added 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and three blocks across 38 minutes of playing time. Adebayo had a slower start in comparison to his expectations, but over the last eight games, he's averaged 25.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

Sun Jan 1 202308:57Bam Adebayo Can't Be Stopped By Utah
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was unstoppable for the Jazz on Saturday, as he rolled to a game-high 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal. He had 12 points in the fourth quarter when Miami was able to turn a two-point deficit into a 126-123 win. Adebayo shot a superb 11-for-17 from the field and also hit 10-for-13 at the foul line. The Jazz allow the sixth-most points in the league to opposing centers, so this was a great matchup for Adebayo. He has another on the horizon against the Clippers, who have done only slightly better than the Jazz. Miami has already faced the Clippers once this season and Adebayo ended the game with 31 points and 10 rebounds.

Wed Dec 28 202218:51Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Gabe Vincent Active Wednesday
The Miami Heat have listed Jimmy Butler (ankle), Bam Adebayo (shoulder) and Gabe Vincent (knee) as active Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Ever since the Heat got fined for misrepresenting their injury reports, their reports have been massive with injuries despite most being a non-factor. Butler and Adebayo will resume their normal roles as starters while Vincent could be thrust into a more prominent role with Kyle Lowry (personal) ruled out.

Wed Dec 28 202214:53Bam Adebayo In Danger Of Missing Another Game
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Lakers. He apparently fell sick over Christmas and missed his fourth game of the season Monday versus Minnesota with a non-COVID illness. With Dewayne Dedmon (foot) also out, Nikola Jovic earned a start against the Timberwolves and Orlando Robinson had a very solid showing off the bench with 15 points and nine rebounds. Robinson could be a good option again for fantasy managers Wednesday if Adebayo isn't able to make it back. Jovic has struggled to make an impact during his rookie campaign and hasn't done much even in the few starts he has received.

Mon Dec 26 202214:40Bam Adebayo Ruled Out For Monday
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was originally listed as questionable due to a shoulder sprain, but will now sit out because of a non-COVID related illness. The Heat are going to be thin at center for this game. That being said, Orlando Robinson is likely to start at center and see significant playing time. He's worth looking at as a streaming option with the Heat banged up on Monday.

Wed Dec 21 202210:18Bam Adebayo Turns In Strong Outing During Loss
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo had one of his best games of the season in a losing effort against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night. He cashed in 27 points on 12-for-15 shooting and added 3-for-4 from the free-throw line. The former lottery pick also chipped in 12 rebounds and six assists with three turnovers. He didn't have many of the normal offensive options around him as Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry were both sidelined, so a lot of the offense fell on him and Tyler Herro. Ultimately they couldn't score enough to get a win, but Adebayo provided a very nice fantasy performance.

Sun Dec 18 202207:14Bam Adebayo Returns With A Double-Double
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was back from a one-game absence Saturday versus San Antonio and logged his 14th double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Eight of his points came in the fourth quarter when Miami turned a tight game into a 111-101 victory. Bam shot 11-for-18 from the floor and had three assists with one steal in 36 minutes. There was no sign of a sprained ankle here, even though Adebayo was listed out with one Thursday against Houston. Adebayo has been productive all year, and five of his double-doubles have come in his last six appearances. He averages 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the campaign.

Thu Dec 15 202219:30Bam Adebayo Ruled Out Thursday Night
After a hard-fought victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo won't suit up against the Houston Rockets on Thursday evening. The Heat revealed the All-Star center would sit due to an ankle sprain. Despite the Heat being down an elite center, don't expect a monstrous rebound stat line from Houston center Alperen Sengun. Without Adebayo on the court, the Heat's rebound rate drops a mere 2.7 percent. However, the rebound rate doesn't tell the whole story. As the star of the defense and arguably the most consistent offensive player on the team, the underperforming Heat will miss Adebayo -- Miami is 0-2 without him this season.

Thu Dec 15 202215:17Bam Adebayo Regarded As Questionable
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (ankle) could sit out Thursday's matchup against Houston, with the team regarding him as questionable for the game. Adebayo has suffered a left ankle sprain and the team could be looking at limiting his workload, as Thursday marks the end of a back-to-back set. Miami's star center logged 33 minutes against OKC Wednesday and had 15 points with 13 rebounds, three assists and two steals. With Dewayne Dedmon (foot) already ruled out of the contest, Miami's young guns Orlando Robinson, Haywood Highsmith and Nikola Jovic (back) could all get a nice run-out Thursday, although the latter is also questionable for the game.

Sat Nov 26 202207:58Bam Adebayo Scores Season-High 38 Points
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was a massive problem for the Wizards on Friday, scoring a season-high 38 points on 15-for-22 shooting in a 110-107 win. He added 12 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the campaign and also dished out three assists. Adebayo has averaged fewer than 20 points a night this season, so this was a huge performance from the big guy. He's actually been nicely positioned for great scoring outings for a while now, with Jimmy Butler (knee) on the shelf, but Adebayo has been held back by his lackluster shooting. Everything clicked for him on Friday, though, and the results are clear to see. He will hope to have another productive outing on Sunday against a Hawks team that allows opposing centers to shoot over 55 percent from the field against them.

Fri Nov 25 202218:25Bam Adebayo Cleared For Action Versus Wizards
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (knee) will play against Washington on Friday. Adebayo was questionable heading into this one because of a left knee bruise. However, it's a good thing he's available, as Miami will at least be without Jimmy Butler (knee), Duncan Robinson (ankle), Max Strus (shoulder). Tyler Herro (ankle) remains questionable. Yet, if Herro can't go either, there's a good chance Adebayo leads the way offensively versus the Wizards.

Fri Nov 18 202215:06Bam Adebayo Draws Questionable Tag For Friday’s Game
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (knee) has been deemed questionable to suit up for Friday's contest against Washington due a left knee contusion. Adebayo missed his first game of the year Wednesday due to the ailment, which allowed Nikola Jovic to enter the starting five. With Dewayne Dedmon (illness) also questionable and Jimmy Butler (knee) out, Jovic would figure to play a significant frontcourt role for the Heat in the case that Adebayo is held out. Prior to going down, Adebayo was finding a high-level rhythm with double-doubles in three straight and five of his last six outings. Check back prior to tip off for the final word on his status.

Wed Nov 16 202215:07Bam Adebayo Misses First Game Of The Season
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (knee) will miss his first game of the season Wednesday against Toronto. He started the week with a big 30-10 double-double against the Suns, but is now forced to nurse a left knee contusion and can't go Wednesday. Adebayo's absence will leave the Heat in a peculiar spot, as there's a serious lack of frontcourt options, with Omer Yurtseven (ankle) and Udonis Haslem (personal) already unavailable and Dewayne Dedmon (foot) considered questionable for the clash. Orlando Robinson and Nikola Jovic are the only healthy bigs remaining but neither player should be considered a serious fantasy option. Robinson hasn't even played a single minute of NBA basketball so far.

Tue Nov 15 202219:04Bam Adebayo And Dewayne Dedmon Questionable Wednesday
The Miami Heat could be very thin in the frontcourt on Wednesday with centers Bam Adebayo (knee) and Dewayne Dedmon (foot) listed as questionable against the Toronto Raptors. With Udonis Haslem (personal) and Omer Yurtseven (ankle) out, the Heat have no true centers left on their roster if Adebayo and Dedmon are ruled out. Nikola Jovic would likely be asked to fill big minutes if either of them cannot go, but it would also be a good sign for Toronto's Chris Boucher. Boucher would be a great DFS option if Adebayo and Dedmon are ruled out.

Tue Nov 15 202209:32Bam Adebayo Scores Season-High 30 Points Monday
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo scored a season-high 30 points and completed his third consecutive double-double with 10 rebounds in Monday's 113-112 win over Phoenix. He added a steal and an assist to his line while committing three turnovers in 36 minutes and shooting 9-for-18 from the field with a 12-for-14 record at the charity stripe. The final points of the game came through Adebayo's free throws, with him completing a nice fourth-quarter comeback. Adebayo has started to build himself a double-double streak and his scoring has also improved lately, with him posting 54 points across two games. Wednesday's meeting against a Toronto team, whose frontcourt has been ravaged by injuries, promises to offer Adebayo another opportunity to dominate.

Thu Nov 3 202219:23Bam Adebayo Questionable For Game Against Indiana
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (knee) is now listed as questionable for the team's game on Friday night. He was able to play 32 minutes in a win versus the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, but it appears he picked up an injury along the way. The team is already going to be missing Jimmy Butler (hip), Victor Oladipo (knee), Nikola Jovic (nasal), and Omer Yurtseven (ankle). If Adebayo isn't able to suit up, Dewayne Dedmon would be a great streaming option because someone on this roster has to soak up the center minutes.

Fri Oct 28 202210:28Bam Adebayo Has Big Night Versus Golden State
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo had his best game of the season so far. The 25-year-old cashed in 26 points, eight rebounds, one assist, four steals, and three blocks while shooting 76.9% from the floor. His scoring has been an up-and-down trend so far, but the rebounding and defensive numbers continue to flow. He'll be one of the mainstays in all fantasy formats throughout the season.

Mon Oct 3 202208:30NBA Draft: UDFAs Who Won't Waste Time
It's funny that every year at the NBA Draft, once the end of the guaranteed money and live appearances arrives at the end of the first round, everybody tunes out and refers to the 60th pick as "Mr. Irrelevant." That's not very accurate though, is it? Speaking historically, the title of "Mr. Irrelevant" could just as easily be applied to each pick in the draft, as organizations differ greatly in their evaluation of talent and their own needs, particularly in a year without the NCAA tournament. The nickname just doesn't reflect how basketball works anymore. Executives strategically stockpile second-round draft picks for the less burdensome financial obligations, and organizations in rebuilding mode get super creative to field a respectable team on a budget.Particularly in the NBA where worldwide talent is plentiful and positional lines continue to fade, opportunity is everything: in the right situation, the right under-the-radar player can make an immediate, poignant statement. With professional development leagues for 16-18-year-olds, an ever-expanding set of domestic/international opportunities due to the sheer growth of basketball, and widespread NIL rights for college athletes, players of all levels and localities are starting to get their due exposure and now have enough freedom to hone their skills in a place, and at a pace that fits best with their path to the NBA.Plus, I am inherently skeptical and distrusting of scouting from the high school level to pre-Draft. That's why in this annual article, I tend to favor overlooked college players (love the mid-majors/non-power conferences) with either well-rounded, polished games, or specific statistical specialties. We are going to discuss a handful of 2022 second-round picks and undrafted free agent (UDFA) signees who, given their individual skillsets and circumstances, warrant the attention of Fantasy Basketball Managers as potential high-impact rookies for the 2022-23 campaign who can quietly be acquired on clearance once they start showing signs of emergence.... Sun Jul 24 202219:27Heat Have Considered Trading Bam Adebayo In Durant Deal
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo has become a pivotal part of the team's nucleus over the past few years. However, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, the organization has entertained the idea of involving Adebayo in a trade that would bring Kevin Durant to Miami. Winderman wrote, "A party familiar with the Heat's approach told the Sun Sentinel that while there has been internal consideration of the team utilizing center Bam Adebayo as a trade component, at least one influential member of the organization has shot down the notion." All Durant trade talks have seemingly stalled out for now. If the Heat were truly willing to move Adebayo, it could be the type of development that could spark some trade momentum once again.
