Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said late Wednesday night that Allen Craig will head back to St. Louis to "get a closer look" at his sprained left foot. |
Craig suffered the sprain while running the bases in the third inning Wednesday and will not be around for Thursday's series finale in Cincinnati. Matt Adams is likely to start at first base. Craig is questionable for Friday's series opener at home against the Pirates. |
