Tue Jul 17 201201:32Jordan Schafer steals two bases
Jordan Schafer went without a hit Monday, but he did walk twice and steal two bases against the Padres.
Schafer was sat down one day after his inattentiveness got him pulled from a July 4 game, but he's been back in there against right-handers since. He's got 2 1/2 months left to show that he can be the Astros' answer in center field next year. The steals are nice and he has a decent walk rate, but he needs to trade some strikeouts for singles.

Wed Jul 4 201219:54Jordan Schafer benched after mental lapse
Astros manager Brad Mills said Jordan Schafer was removed from Wednesday's game for "behavioral reasons."
Schafer threw to the wrong base on a sacrifice fly in the second inning, which is the main reason he was benched, but it's not clear if he did something else to upset Mills. "I just felt that play and behavior didn't match what we needed to get done and what everybody was doing," Mills said. "We came out of the gate busting our tails, guys were going first to third, first to third, and putting ourselves in position to score a lot of runs. His behavior didn't match what we needed to have done."
