Saints promoted WR Adrian Arrington from their practice squad.
Arrington might be an All-Pro if voting were based on the preseason, but he's had trouble staying healthy and has yet to dress for a game since being taken in the seventh round of the 2008 draft. He'll look to help out on special teams.

Saints waived WR Adrian Arrington.
Arrington can blame Garrett Hartley for this as his roster spot was needed for John Carney. Arrington is a practice squad candidate if he clears waivers.

Fri Sep 3 201017:41Arrington, Young survive roster cuts
Saints WR Adrian Arrington and S Usama Young have informed NewOrleans.com that they have survived this weekend's final roster cuts.
The Saints will apparently keep six receivers as Courtney Roby is too valuable to part with on special teams. Arrington has torn up preseason action for three straight years, but he hasn't been able to stay healthy. Young gets a last-minute reprieve with Darren Sharper going on the PUP list.

Sat Aug 21 201023:28Arrington leads Saints receivers
Adrian Arrington led the Saints with three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Texans in Saturday's exhibition game.
He can play, he just can't stay healthy. In four NFL preseason games over three seasons, Arrington has averaged 70 yards. With Courtney Roby starring on special teams, Arrington will need the Saints to keep six receivers in order to make the team.
Wed May 12 201013:46Adrian Arrington to be fifth receiver
Adrian Arrington is expected to be no more than the Saints' fifth receiver in 2010.
Coach Sean Payton often mentions Arrington when discussing his impressive receiver corps, but the oft-injured Michigan product isn't going to pass Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, or Lance Moore on the depth chart. Arrington will need injuries to matter in 2010 fantasy leagues.
