Fri Sep 28 201216:43Doug Baldwin probable for Week 4
Doug Baldwin (shoulder) is listed as probable for Week 4.
Baldwin will man the slot against the Rams after getting in a week of full practices. He's not a viable fantasy option against a St. Louis pass defense that's been a plus, however.

Wed Sep 26 201219:34Doug Baldwin practices in full Wednesday
Doug Baldwin (shoulder) is practicing in full this week.
Baldwin got in limited practice reps before being inactive for Monday night's win, so this is a positive sign. Barring a setback, he should be in the slot against the Rams. With only three catches through two games, Baldwin is well off the radar in PPR leagues.

Mon Sep 24 201219:28Baldwin among Seahawks inactives for MNF
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (shoulder) is among the team's inactives for Week 3.
Baldwin was a nice PPR fantasy player last year while playing in the slot for Seattle, but he has just 13 yards receiving in two games so far and is battling a balky shoulder this week. The Seahawks also declared OLs James Carpenter and Lemuel Jeanpierre, CBs Byron Maxwell and Danny Gorrer, DT Jaye Howard, and S Winston Guy inactive.

Sat Sep 22 201216:46Baldwin officially questionable for Seahawks
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Packers.
Baldwin was limited in practice on Thursday, then didn't practice at all on Friday or Saturday, so he may have been injured early in the week. If he is forced to miss, Braylon Edwards and Ben Obomanu would pick up the slack. Baldwin, the slot receiver, has just 13 yards receiving in two games.

Fri Sep 21 201220:35Doug Baldwin held out of practice
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (shoulder) was held out of Friday's practice.
Baldwin practiced on a limited basis Thursday, so this is a downgrade. He may have been hurt Thursday. Baldwin will likely need to practice on Saturday to have any chance of playing Monday night. He has 13 yards through two games.

Sun Sep 16 201219:21Doug Baldwin held to 8 yards in Week 2
Doug Baldwin was held to one catch for eight yards versus the Cowboys in Week 2.
Baldwin was targeted just the one time. Averaging just 6.5 yards through two weeks, Seattle's No. 3 receiver isn't worth rostering in 12- and 14-team leagues.

Tue Sep 11 201208:03Doug Baldwin got his teeth knocked in
Doug Baldwin will have to undergo a procedure on his teeth Tuesday.
Baldwin "got his teeth knocked in" during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. The slot receiver may miss some practice time, but is expected to be ready for Week 2 against the Cowboys.

Sun Sep 9 201220:43Doug Baldwin held to just five yards
Doug Baldwin caught just two passes for five yards at Arizona in Week 1.
Baldwin was the clear third option in the passing attack, seeing six targets to nine apiece for Sidney Rice and Braylon Edwards. Fully extended in the end zone, Baldwin couldn't hang onto the potential game winner from Russell Wilson. He'll continue to man the slot, without reliable fantasy value, versus the Cowboys in Week 2.

Wed Sep 5 201215:45Doug Baldwin 'ready to go' for Week 1
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hamstring surgery) is "ready to go" for Week 1.
Baldwin underwent a minor hamstring operation near the end of camp, but was back to "top speed" in a little over a week. He'll man the slot against the Cardinals.

Wed Aug 29 201217:42Doug Baldwin expected back for Week 1
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll reiterated confidence Wednesday that Doug Baldwin (hamstring) will be ready for Week 1.
Baldwin underwent a minor hamstring operation about a week ago. "Doug ran really hard yesterday," Carroll said. "I watched his workout at top speed. He's ready to go for us on Monday." Baldwin will be Seattle's Week 1 slot receiver between Sidney Rice and Braylon Edwards, assuming Edwards holds off Golden Tate.

Tue Aug 28 201219:43Baldwin still recovering from hamstring
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin is still recovering from the hamstring problem that has sidelined him since early in the month.
Baldwin had fluid drained last week. Coach Pete Carroll had expressed confidence that his slot receiver would be "full go" this week, but he's not going to play in the preseason finale. Baldwin has yet to resume practicing.

Tue Aug 21 201220:49Doug Baldwin undergoes hamstring procedure
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin is recovering from a "little" hamstring procedure, and will be inactive for Friday's game against the Chiefs.
"He had a little procedure done to clear up his hamstring that was very successful," coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday. "He'll be back in it next week for sure. Whether we play him next week or not - I don't know that yet - but he should be practicing full go and we'll return next week." Carroll's glasses are famously rose-colored, so take his recovery timetable with a grain of salt. However, Baldwin - who's taken zero preseason reps - appears to be on track for Week 1. He should remain locked in as the Seahawks' slot receiver.

Mon Aug 20 201212:55Doug Baldwin sitting out due to hamstring
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin has missed the first two preseason games due to a hamstring injury.
The injury isn't considered serious. After Baldwin impressed with 788 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie, the slot job is still his. Deon Butler has been getting the first-team slot reps in the meantime.

Wed Jul 11 201212:26Baldwin working out with Flynn in Florida
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin is working out with QB Matt Flynn at Dolphin Stadium in Florida this week.
Flynn's competition, Tarvaris Jackson, is working out at Larry Fitzgerald's summer camp in Minnesota. "[Baldwin is] a very dynamic guy," said Flynn. "I've been throwing to him for only two months but I can already see how he's a special player and will be around for a long time." Although Baldwin is likely slated for slot duties, it's possible that he will be allowed to compete for the No. 2 job opposite Sidney Rice.

Mon Feb 13 201210:59Doug Baldwin hoping for promotion in 2012
Doug Baldwin is hoping to earn a promotion beyond slot duties in 2012.
"I want to be known as the greatest receiver who ever played the game, Baldwin said. "(And) it's going to be hard to do that strictly out of the slot." Baldwin also said he's been working out daily since the end of the regular season. He'll be worth consideration as a late-round flier in fantasy leagues next season, but is unlikely to open the year as anything other than the Seahawks' No. 3 receiver despite his lofty aspirations.

Sun Jan 1 201220:32Baldwin totals 40 yards in Week 17
Doug Baldwin caught three passes for 40 yards on four targets versus the Cardinals in Week 17.
The first undrafted free agent rookie to lead his team in receptions and yards since the Oilers' Bill Groman in 1960, the speedy slot receiver emerged as Tarvaris Jackson's most reliable target. Baldwin finished with 51 receptions for 788 yards and four TDs. He projects as a 2012 late-round flier as the No. 3 receiver in a run-oriented offense.

Sat Dec 24 201115:15Doug Baldwin active for Seahawks
Doug Baldwin (ankle) is active for Saturday's Week 16 game against the 49ers.
Baldwin didn't practice all week, making him a very shaky play against the 49ers' elite defense. He had just one catch against the Bears last week and is not 100 percent today. We can do better for WR3 options.

Fri Dec 23 201117:01Doug Baldwin misses practice, questionable
Doug Baldwin (ankle) missed Seahawks practice again on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 16.
Baldwin couldn't even participate in a walkthrough. The undrafted rookie didn't practice on Thursday, either, after apparently suffering a setback on Wednesday. Write off Baldwin as a potential fantasy option in Week 16. Clearly less than 100 percent, Baldwin hasn't played nearly well enough to be worth the risk.

Thu Dec 22 201116:38Doug Baldwin misses practice Thursday
Doug Baldwin (ankle) was downgraded to out in Seahawks practice Thursday.
A bad sign after Baldwin was able to get in a limited session on Wednesday, but coach Pete Carroll did say, "we think he's going to be all right." A shaky WR3 even when healthy, consider Baldwin off-the-radar for the fantasy finals.

Wed Dec 21 201119:37Doug Baldwin limited on Wednesday
Doug Baldwin (ankle) was limited in Seahawks practice Wednesday.
It's a new injury for Baldwin, but not one that's expected to hold him out against the 49ers. Supremely inconsistent this season, Baldwin is best avoided as a WR3 against San Francisco's elite defense.
