Thu Sep 25 201415:09Boykin (knee) practiced in full Thursday
Boykin (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
An erroneous report noted Boykin's practice participation Wednesday as limited, but the wideout was actually a full participant, the Packers' official site reports. His injury status aside, he's only had a minimal impact in the passing game this year, hauling in two passes (on seven targets) for 17 yards, which is well shy of rookie receiver Davante Adams (seven catches for 61 yards on 10 targets). Until Boykin garners more attention from Aaron Rodgers, he is best left on the scrap heap.
Wed Sep 24 201415:58Boykin (knee) limited in Wednesday's practice
Boykin (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Boykin has seemingly been usurped by Davante Adams on the depth chart, with seven targets versus 10 in the last two games. Neither option has produced much, though, as Boykin has caught two balls for 17 yards, while Adams has hauled in seven for 61 yard. Boykin's injury could push him farther down the pecking order among receiving options in Green Bay, but his availability for Sunday's game in Chicago should be clear by the end of the week.

Boykin caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's victory over the Jets.
Boykin had a markedly quiet game on a day where quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 346 yards. Meanwhile, fellow reserve receiver Davante Adams made much more of an impact, racking up five receptions for 50 yards. Boykin played well as the Packers' third receiver last season, but Adams has a better pedigree, and it's possible he may have already surpassed Boykin on the depth chart.

Boykin was not targeted during Thursday's season-opening loss to the Packers.
The Packers opted to stick Boykin on Richard Sherman's side of the field for nearly the entire game, thus providing better matchups for Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. There's no need to panic here, as the Seahawks are a unique defensive team, both in terms of scheme and talent. Other teams with an elite cornerback would likely move such a player around, rather than leave him on a third receiver all game. Often it will be Boykin with the best matchup for most of the game, as opposed to his more talented counterparts, Nelson and Cobb. With the Packers lacking a proven threat at tight end, Boykin still projects as the third option in an Aaron Rodgers-Mike McCarthy offense. However, it is possible that Davante Adams could push Boykin for playing time before the end of the season.
Thu Aug 28 201413:00Boykin has all but locked up 3rd wide receiver spot
Boykin has all but locked up the No. 3 wide receiver spot, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. "Clearly, Jarrett Boykin has taken the next step," coach Mike McCarthy said. "I just love the way he plays. He's had an excellent camp. He's physical, his toughness, he's relentless. I think he's exceptional at the top of his route. You see his strength and balance to separate from a DB."
Although his output (three catches for 21 yards) doesn't reflect McCarthy's sentiments, Boykin is the frontrunner to line up with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb in three-wide sets, or the Packers' most prevalent grouping last season. Meanwhile, Boykin's primary competition, Davante Adams -- four receptions for 50 yards this preseason -- has struggled with consistency in his initial NFL camp. Once the regular season rolls around, Boykin is expected to hold more utility than Adams until McCarthy unleashes the rookie, and maybe not even then.

Boykin started Saturday's preseason opener in place of Jordy Nelson, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Ty Dunne reports.
The Packers went run-heavy early on, which meant both Boykin and Randall Cobb finished the night with zero targets. Boykin seems to be pretty secure in his role as the third receiver, but rookie second-rounder Davante Adams could perhpas cut into his snaps and/or targets at some point.
Fri Jul 11 201415:29Boykin expected to be Packers No. 3 receiver
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel believes Jarrett Boykin will be "hard to dislodge" from his No. 3 receiver role on the Packers.
Assuming he holds off second-round pick Davante Adams -- who struggled with drops during OTAs -- Boykin's outlook is particularly intriguing due to Green Bay's lack of an established pass-catching tight end. He could easily be Aaron Rodgers' No. 3 pass option this year, behind Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. Boykin has a chance to be a steal in re-draft leagues. His ADP is the late-11th round.

Wed Jun 4 201412:18Jarrett Boykin continues to run as No. 3 WR
Jarrett Boykin has worked as the No. 3 receiver during OTAs.
We're expecting second-round rookie Davante Adams to push Boykin, but it won't happen until training camp at the earliest. Boykin deserves some leash after stepping up nicely with a 49-681-3 line last season while pressed into eight starts. However, he'll have to get out of the gate hot to hold off Adams as the talent gap here is significant.

Thu Mar 27 201408:17McCarthy continues to fawn over Boykin
Coach Mike McCarthy continued to fawn over Jarrett Boykin at the NFL Annual Meeting.
McCarthy first unloaded praise on Boykin a month ago, signaling the end of James Jones' Packers career. Now he's at it again as Boykin prepares to be Aaron Rodgers' clear-cut No. 3 target behind Jordy Nelson and Randalll Cobb. "I can't say enough about Boykin," McCarthy said Wednesday. "The young man is a heck of a player." He remains an obvious breakout candidate.

Mon Feb 24 201413:00McCarthy: I'm as high on Boykin as anybody
Coach Mike McCarthy said he's "as high on [Jarrett] Boykin as anybody in our building."
This should put the nail in free agent James Jones' Packers coffin. The head coach is a good guy to have in your corner, and Boykin appears to have made quite an impression. "He had a heck of a year, and I still think he has another jump in him. ... I've always liked Jarrett. I've always felt he had it," said McCarthy, who added that he sees Boykin evolving into an eventual No. 2 receiver. For now, he'll be the No. 3 man behind Jordy Nelson and slot receiver Randall Cobb. It's nearly an every-down role in the Packers' scheme, leaving Boykin with plenty of 2014 upside.

Sun Jan 5 201420:10Boykin goes catch-less in playoff loss
Jarrett Boykin was held catch-less in Green Bay's Wild Card round loss to the 49ers.
The Packers' base offense Sunday was comprised of three- and four-receiver sets. Boykin and Randall Cobb rotated in the third wideout role, but the former failed to reel in any of his targets. 24 years old, Boykin is likely to replace impending free agent James Jones as Green Bay's No. 3 receiver in 2014, with Cobb and Jordy Nelson in the starting lineup. Boykin will be worth drafting in the mid to late rounds of re-draft leagues. He's a WR3/4 in Dynasty.

Sun Dec 22 201320:27Boykin catches five passes, TD in defeat
Jarrett Boykin caught five passes for 54 yards and one touchdown in Week 16 against the Steelers.
Boykin saw a team-high 13 targets from Matt Flynn. Flynn overshot him a number of times, including on the final play of the game in the end zone. Boykin's touchdown came from five yards out in the first quarter on a back-shoulder fade. Boykin has been a WR3 for much of the year since he replaced Randall Cobb in three-wide sets. The Packers take on the Bears in Week 17.

Sun Dec 15 201321:23Jarrett Boykin scores touchdown in victory
Jarrett Boykin caught six passes for 83 yards in Green Bay's Week 15 win over the Cowboys.
Boykin came alive with the rest of the Packers' offense in the second half, where he made four of his six grabs, adding some nice yardage after the catch. Boykin has been extremely hit-or-miss with Matt Flynn under center, but would be back in the WR3 conversation if Aaron Rodgers were to get cleared for Week 16. Otherwise, Boykin would be a high-risk WR4 for the fantasy finals.

Sun Dec 8 201316:12Jarrett Boykin goes for 23 yards in victory
Jarrett Boykin was limited to two catches for 23 yards in the Packers' Week 14 win over the Falcons.
Jordy Nelson, Andrew Quarless, and Eddie Lacy were all bigger parts of the passing attack than third wideout Boykin, who has finally hit a slump after an unlikely hot run around midseason. Even if Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) returns in Week 15, Boykin will be a low-end WR3 option against the Cowboys.

Thu Nov 28 201316:20Jarrett Boykin held without a catch in loss
Jarrett Boykin was held without a catch on three targets in Green Bay's Week 13 loss to the Lions.
Don't blame Boykin, who, like the rest of Green Bay's receiver corps, never had a chance at a big day with Matt Flynn proving shockingly inept at quarterback. Flynn got off only 20 pass attempts, mustering a measly 139 yards. Showing zero threat downfield, he was blitzed with impunity, taking seven sacks. The good news for Boykin is, Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) should be back for Week 14. Boykin will remain on the WR3 radar against the Falcons.

Sun Nov 10 201318:01Jarrett Boykin continues to impress
Jarrett Boykin caught eight passes for 112 yards in Sunday's Week 10 loss to the Eagles.
Even with the Packers starting Seneca Wallace and then riding Scott Tolzien, Boykin was spectacular. He made people miss on screens and showed a tremendous ability to win at the catch point on some high throws. Boykin led the team in targets with 13 and has now gone over 89 yards in three of the last four games. He'll be tough to trust in Week 11 with Tolzien starting and James Jones looking 100 percent, but there's WR3 upside right now and Dynasty stash appeal here.

Tue Nov 5 201300:42Boykin hauls in lone target in Week 9 loss
Jarrett Boykin caught one pass for 15 yards in Week 9 versus Chicago.
It was Boykin's lone target of the night. Outside of Jordy Nelson and Andrew Quarless, none of the Green Bay pass catchers produced much with Seneca Wallace coming on for an injured Aaron Rodgers (left shoulder) early in the first quarter. Boykin was the No. 2 receiver opposite Nelson in two-wide sets with James Jones (knee) being eased back in. Boykin will struggle to hold fantasy value if Wallace is forced to make starts for the Packers.

Mon Oct 28 201300:18Boykin has five catches, 89 yards on SNF
Jarrett Boykin had five catches for 89 yards in Sunday night's Week 8 win over the Vikings.
Boykin started and played opposite Jordy Nelson in two-wide sets. With James Jones and Randall Cobb sidelined, he remains the clear No. 2 option in the passing game. Boykin was targeted six times by Aaron Rodgers and ran mostly short-to-intermediate routes. He'll remain a strong WR3/FLEX option in Week 9 against Chicago.
