Sun Oct 20 201319:39Jarrett Boykin goes for 8-103-1 in Cobb role
Packers WR Jarrett Boykin caught eight balls for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Playing Randall Cobb's old role, Boykin had a field day primarily matching up with Browns CB Buster Skrine, tacking 39- and 20-yard receptions on top of a bunch of underneath connections with Aaron Rodgers. Back in October of 2012, Rodgers predicted former undrafted free agent Boykin would "be a big-time player for us at some point." Boykin was that today, and has the opportunity to continue to flourish in Green Bay's offense due to injuries to Jermichael Finley (neck), Cobb (fractured fibula), and James Jones (PCL sprain). View Boykin as a strong WR3 play in Week 8 against the Vikings.

Wed Oct 16 201309:05Boykin could be GB's No. 2 WR Sunday
Jarrett Boykin will be the Packers' No. 2 WR in Week 7 if James Jones (questionable, knee) can't play.
Randall Cobb (leg) was placed on IR/recall Tuesday. Boykin is a second-year undrafted player out of Virginia Tech that struggled when pressed into 58 snaps last week. But with a week to get coached up, the Packers are expecting a better performance against the Browns. "Jarrett's one of the smartest guys we've got on the football team, and he's very sharp," Aaron Rodgers said. Anyone receiver playing every snap with Rodgers is worth a long look as a plug-n-play, even if they are somewhat talent-deficient.

Thu Aug 22 201311:01Jarrett Boykin takes lead in No. 4 WR battle
Jarrett Boykin has taken the lead for the Packers No. 4 receiver job.
Boykin has four catches for 41 yards through two preseason games while Jeremy Ross has three catches for 12 yards. Boykin been getting first-team reps with Jordy Nelson (knee) sidelined and Randall Cobb (biceps) day to day. Boykin isn't a special talent, but anyone seeing consistent snaps with Aaron Rodgers is worth monitoring. It's a note to file away in case the injuries to Nelson and Cobb linger into the regular season.

Thu Aug 8 201301:03Boykin, Ross competing to be Packers No. 4
Jarrett Boykin and Jeremy Ross are competing in training camp to be the Packers' No. 4 receiver.
It's become a somewhat important battle since Jordy Nelson underwent knee surgery. Green Bay is a three-wide team, and only Randall Cobb and James Jones are locks to be ready for Week 1. Boykin is the favorite, despite his speed deficiencies. Ultimately, neither Boykin nor Ross is a candidate for re-draft value.

Fri May 24 201310:20Rodgers: WR Boykin will get opportunities
Aaron Rodgers expects Jarrett Boykin to "get some opportunities this year" as the Packers' fourth receiver.
This assumes Boykin beats out rookies Charles Johnson and Kevin Dorsey. Rodgers sounds confident he will. "Behind (Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and James Jones), I like what Jarrett Boykin brings," Rodgers said at OTAs. "He's a big, physical receiver who's going to get some opportunities." Packers "No. 4" receivers to open the year seemingly always pop on the fantasy radar in-season.

Thu Nov 1 201210:04Rodgers likes what he sees from Boykin
Aaron Rodgers said WR Jarrett Boykin will "be a big-time player for us at some point."
Boykin, Virginia Tech's all-time leading receiver, went undrafted because he ran a 4.7 40-yard dash at the combine in February. He proceeded to make the Packers' final roster and saw a bump in snaps last week with Jordy Nelson (hamstring) and Greg Jennings (groin) both inactive. He caught his only target for a nine-yard gain.
