Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown recorded a nice 29-point, 12-rebound double-double as the team kicked off the 2023 playoffs with a dominating win over Atlanta. The Celtics tied their largest-ever postseason halftime lead with a 30-point advantage and eventually won 112-99, with Brown the top scorer in the game. He shot 12-for-23 from the field and 2-for-6 from deep while delivering three assists and picking up one steal. After missing the final two regular-season games with a cut hand, Brown logged 37 minutes. He said that the cut on his hand reopened during the game, so Brown might be back on the injury report ahead of Game 2. The two-time All-Star admitted that he struggled with his grip, which could be the reason why he had a game-high six turnovers.

Tue Apr 11 202316:16Jaylen Brown Won't Have Any Restrictions In Game 1
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (finger) didn't participate in practice on Tuesday, but head coach Joe Mazzulla said that he wouldn't be facing any restrictions in the first game of their first-round series. Brown has battled a few different ailments but just received stitches in his finger just a few days ago. The good news is that shouldn't affect his availability on Saturday. For those playing DFS, Brown could be a solid option in what should be a pretty easy first-round matchup.

Sat Apr 8 202318:20Jaylen Brown Won't Play On Sunday
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. This is not surprising considering Brown needed five stitches after cutting his finger while picking up a broken vase in his home. That being said, the Celtics will rest Brown with this game not having any impact on their playoff positioning. The hope is that Brown is available in time for the playoff opener on April 15 or 16. In the meantime, Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon should see extended run with Brown on the sideline.

Mon Apr 3 202318:30Jaylen Brown Questionable For Tuesday
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (back) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He has been dealing with lingering lower back pain, but it's hard to imagine Brown missing this game. A victory would lock the Celtics into the two seed, so it's a big game for them. If Brown sits, Sam Hauser and Derrick White would see expanded roles in the rotation. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Tuesday for more updates.

Fri Mar 24 202317:41Jaylen Brown Available Versus Indiana
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (facial fracture) is available for Friday's meeting with Indiana. The update is hardly a surprise, considering he's worn a protective face mask since around the All-Star break. The 26-year-old has averaged 24.5 points versus the Pacers this season, making him a must-start in all fantasy formats. However, with the Celtics expected to win this one easily, Brown may find himself sitting more than usual if things get out of hand, so DFS participants should keep that in mind.

He finished 4-for-10 with the three-ball and completed his line with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Brown has upped his efficiency since the All-Star break and it has helped him to also give a slight boost to his scoring numbers, with the 26-year-old star having averaged 27.3 points since play resumed. More of the same is needed from him for the rest of the way if the C's want to rob Milwaukee of the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Tue Mar 7 202323:06Jaylen Brown Available Against Portland
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (face) is available for Wednesday's clash with the Portland Trail Blazers. This has been a frequent occurrence for Brown, who suffered a facial fracture prior to the All-Star break. The 26-year-old is coming off a strong showing against the Cavs on Monday, where he finished the night just one assist shy of a triple-double. That said, Brown is always a must-start fantasy option. However, considering Jayson Tatum and Al Horford will play on Wednesday evening, Brown's scoring output should dip by a small margin.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months.... Tue Feb 28 202317:28Jaylen Brown Removed From Injury Report Against Cleveland
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown missed the team's last game against the New York Knicks due to personal reasons, but he has since been removed from the injury report and officially deemed active for their contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The 26-year-old is in the midst of the best season of his career and should revitalize a Celtics team that looked quite awful on Monday night. With Brown coming back, Derrick White will likely head back to the bench.

Sun Feb 26 202319:55Jaylen Brown Won't Play On Monday
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (personal) won't play in Monday's game against the New York Knicks. The 26-year-old is dealing with a private matter, so it's anyone's guess if he'll return for Wednesday's meeting with the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers. In the meantime, Derrick White (ankle), who is probable, should take Brown's spot in the lineup. White has averaged 12.5 points and shot 40.1% from deep in 51 starts during the season, so he'll make a fine addition to any fantasy lineup on Monday evening, assuming he plays.
