Toler had an interception and a tackle in Monday's loss to Philadelphia.
Toler made an outstanding catch on the interception, but otherwise had an up-and-down game in coverage. Still, keeping the injury-prone cornerback healthy may be a key to Indy's season.

Toler left Saturday's preseason loss to New Orleans due to a sore knee, the team's offical web site reports.
His injury was described as minor, but any injury is a worry with Toler as he missed nine games last season due to a groin injury and has never played 16 games in his career. His healthy is a key to a defense that is short on depth after the departure of Antoine Bethea and Cassius Vaughn in free agency.

Toler, who had offseason surgery to repair a sports hernia, was seen as having a strong training camp and looked fully healthy, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Toler will start opposite Vontae Davis. He missed nine games last season due to the groin injury and has never played 16 games in his career, so he's a big injury risk in Indy's secondary.
Thu May 29 201411:41Colts CB Greg Toler (groin) working at OTAs
Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) is participating in OTAs.
Toler had offseason sports-hernia surgery and sat out voluntary workouts earlier this month. The 29-year-old appeared in just nine games last season and struggled in coverage and run support. The Colts didn't bring in any cornerback competition in the offseason, so they're banking on Toler bouncing back opposite Vontae Davis. Toler is going to be heavily targeted by opposing quarterbacks.

Fri May 2 201408:45Colts LCB Toler (groin) sitting out workouts
Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) is sitting out voluntary workouts this week.
Toler had offseason sports-hernia surgery. He says he's fully healthy, but the training staff wants him to slow his roll and get back to running at 100 percent before putting him back on the field. Toler was a disappointment as a free-agent signing for the Colts, appearing in only nine games in 2013, but he has plenty of natural ability and length to serve as Indy's No. 2 corner opposite Vontae Davis.

Thu Dec 26 201320:26Colts easing Toler in before playoffs
Colts LCB Greg Toler played just seven snaps in his Week 16 return from a groin injury.
Toler didn't suffer a setback, but adverse weather conditions in Kansas City helped keep him on the bench. "Wasn't like we were playing down in South Florida and you could just pull (Toler) off the bench after we were sitting there for four, five, six minutes, whatever it was," coach Chuck Pagano said. Toler is expected to return to the starting lineup as soon as this weekend, sliding Darius Butler back into the slot.

Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) will not play in Week 9.
The Colts will turn to special teamer Cassius Vaughn at left cornerback, with Darius Butler staying in the slot. We'd call it an upgrade for DeAndre Hopkins' matchup if the Texans had a better quarterback under center. Andre Johnson is more likely to square off with Vontae Davis in Sunday night's game.
