Wed Jul 31 201317:24Greg Toler suffers concussion on Wednesday
Colts CB Greg Toler suffered a concussion in Wednesday's practice.
Toler has a good chance of earning a starting job opposite Vontae Davis, but this won't help. Toler has a fairly lengthy injury history, but no known professional concussions. He's week-to-week.

Tue Mar 12 201317:28Colts bring aboard CB Greg Toler
Colts agreed to terms with CB Greg Toler, formerly of the Cardinals.
The Colts are aggressively addressing needs, signing Toler and OT Gosder Cherilus, while pursuing pass-rusher Cliff Avril. Toler should be in the mix for a starting job, but the injury prone four-year veteran could eventually end up in the slot. He has five packs in 38 career games.

Mon Mar 11 201323:38Update: Cards have not re-signed Greg Toler
Updating a previous item, the Cardinals have not re-signed free agent CB Greg Toler.
Tim Ring of KTVK Phoenix withdrew his "report" after claiming he mixed up Toler's three-year deal with Rashad Johnson's. Toler remains in the mix for the Browns and Redskins. Per reliable Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, there's every reason to believe Toler will hit the open market Tuesday at 4PM ET.

Mon Mar 11 201323:07Cardinals re-sign CB Greg Toler to 3-yr pact
Cardinals re-signed CB Greg Toler to a three-year contract.
Toler was drawing quite a bit of interest on the open market, but the Cardinals pegged he and S Rashad Johnson as their two biggest priorities before free agency opened. Arizona locked both players up to three-year deals on Monday night. Toler, at 6-foot and 192 pounds, is a good fit for Todd Bowles press coverage system. We won't pencil him in as the starter opposite Patrick Peterson just yet, but he's certainly the best option right now.

Sun Mar 10 201317:56Redskins interested in Greg Toler
The Washington Examiner's John Keim reports the Redskins have interest in free agent CB Greg Toler.
This is in addition to their Derek Cox interest. The cap-strapped Skins aren't positioned to spend big on free agents, but they will definitely sign at least one corner to replace DeAngelo Hall. Hall figures to be released by Tuesday. Another second- or third-wave free agent corner who might appeal to Washington is E.J. Biggers. Biggers played under DBs coach Raheem Morris in Tampa.

Sat Mar 9 201319:26Browns could have interest in CB Greg Toler
ESPN Cleveland believes the Browns could have interest in free agent CB Greg Toler.
Toler has a history with Browns DC Ray Horton and would be candidate for a starting role if signed. The Cardinals consider Toler among their top priorities this offseason, but there's been no indication that he'll be re-signed before the start of free agency.

Sat Mar 9 201312:04Re-signing CB Greg Toler a priority for Cards
Re-signing free agent CB Greg Toler is a priority for the Cardinals.
Arizona is about $8 million under the salary cap of $123 million. New GM Steve Keim has had discussions with Toler's agent, but there is no indication that they are close to re-signing. Toler appeared in ten games last season after missing all of 2011 with a torn left ACL. If re-signed, Toler would be the favorite to start opposite Patrick Peterson following William Gay's release earlier this month.

Mon Mar 4 201318:02Cardinals, Toler's agent to meet this week
Free agent CB Greg Toler's agent plans to meet with the Cardinals this week.
Toler's agent, Hadley Engelhard, met with Arizona brass at the Combine, and both sides seem to be interested in working out a new deal. The Cardinals have just two corners under contract for 2013 at the moment -- Patrick Peterson and 2012 third-rounder Jamell Fleming.

Mon Feb 18 201318:23Cardinals want to re-sign CB Toler
AzCardinals.com "pegs" CB Greg Toler as the team's top free agent they'd like to re-sign.
Toler, 28, has battled injuries for much of his career, missing the entire 2011 season with a torn ACL and suffering a hamstring injury this past season. However, when on the field, Toler has proven to be a capable starter despite getting burned by speed receivers on occasion. CBS' Pete Prisco named Toler his top "under-the-radar, high-value" free agent.

Sat Oct 13 201214:50Cardinals likely without two CBs for Sunday
Cardinals CBs Greg Toler (hamstring) and Michael Adams (hamstring) have been listed as doubtful for Week 6.
Toler has garnered one start this season opposite Patrick Peterson, but William Gay supplanted him earlier in the year. Toler came up lame last week after Rams rookie WR Chris Givens victimized him for a 51-yard TD strike. Rookie Jamell Fleming and second-year pro Crezdon Butler will back up Peterson and Gay.

Fri Oct 5 201208:35Cardinals CB Toler has hamstring injury
Cardinals CB Greg Toler exited Thursday night's Week 5 game with a left hamstring injury.
Toler came up limping after he was victimized by rookie WR Chris Givens on a 51-yard bomb that set up the Rams' second touchdown. Like Ryan Williams, he downplayed the injury after the game.

Mon Jun 18 201214:42Greg Toler projects as starter for Cardinals
The Cardinals' website projects Greg Toler as the team's starting left cornerback opposite Patrick Peterson.
Peterson will probably shadow opposing No. 1 receivers this season, so Toler would match up with No. 2s. Coming off ACL surgery, Toler was limited during OTAs but should be a full-go by training camp. He'll try to hold off competition from likely nickel back William Gay and third-round pick Jamell Fleming.

Tue May 22 201215:46Cardinals CB Toler returns to the field
Cardinals CB Greg Toler (ACL surgery) returned to the field for limited reps in Tuesday's practice.
Toler took part in all drills even if his reps were scaled back. With Toler being eased back in, William Gay opened OTAs as the starter opposite Patrick Peterson. That job will be contested in training camp.

Thu May 3 201221:34Toler '85 percent' recovered from ACL surgery
Cardinals CB Greg Toler estimates that he's "85 percent" recovered from September ACL surgery.
Hoping to participate in OTAs this month and next, Toler is up to 198 pounds after gaining 11 pounds, mostly in his upper body. Toler is slated to battle William Gay, A.J. Jefferson and third-rounder Jamell Fleming for the starting job opposite Patrick Peterson.

Tue Mar 27 201217:20Cards officially re-sign RFA CB Toler
Cardinals re-signed CB Greg Toler to a one-year, $1.26 million deal.
A restricted free agent, Toler was tendered at the original-round level. Still not back to 100 percent after tearing his left ACL during training camp last season, Toler will have to beat out William Gay and A.J. Jefferson to start opposite Patrick Peterson. Toler was not particularly adept in coverage his lone season as a starter in 2010.

Wed Jan 18 201212:20Cardinals CB Toler '75-80 percent' recovered
Cardinals CB Greg Toler is "75 to 80 percent" recovered from September ACL surgery.
Toler has graduated to lateral movement exercises, and will "definitely" be back for training camp. The 2009 fourth-rounder isn't a lock to be tendered as a restricted free agent in March after the emergence of Patrick Peterson, Richard Marshall, and A.J. Jefferson as the top three corners.

Mon Aug 29 201113:25Cardinals lose CB Greg Toler to a torn ACL
Greg Toler tore his ACL in Saturday's preseason game and will be placed on injured reserve.
It's a major blow to a Cardinals' defense that already had plenty of question marks. Toler was in line to start after Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was traded to the Eagles. On the bright side, the Cards now get to throw No. 5 overall pick Patrick Peterson into the fire from jump street as he'll likely start across from A.J. Jefferson in Week 1. Richard Marshall moves into the No. 3 corner role.

Sun Aug 28 201110:28Toler hoping for 'light sprain of the ACL'
Updating a previous item, Cardinals CB Greg Toler (sprained knee) left the Cardinals locker room on crutches Saturday, and had his left knee in a brace.
Toler told the Arizona Republic's Kent Somers to "pray for a light sprain of the ACL," so there's a good chance his injury is more than just a simple sprain. He'll undergo an MRI Sunday afternoon.

Sat Aug 27 201122:49Toler suffers sprained knee
Greg Toler left Saturday's preseason game with a sprained knee.
The injury appeared as if it could have been something worse, so the Cardinals are likely breathing a sign of relief. If he's healthy for Week 1, Toler will begin the season as Arizona's starting right cornerback.

Sat Nov 27 201018:17Cards CB Toler ruled a game-day decision
Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has ruled CB Greg Toler (foot) a game-day decision for the Week 12 game on Monday Night.
Even though Toler practiced on Friday, he is still uncertain to play in San Francisco. Mike Adams would start in place of Toler opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but doesn't figure to be heavily tested by a mediocre Niners' passing attack.
