Wed Oct 30 201318:18Amendola limited on Wednesday
Danny Amendola (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Amendola is over his concussion but is still on the injury report with the groin issue. He's in zero danger of missing Week 9 against the Steelers. Amendola caught three passes for 15 yards in his Week 8 return. He's a WR2.

Sun Oct 27 201317:15Danny Amendola limited to 15 yards in Week 8
Danny Amendola caught three passes for 15 yards in the Patriots' Week 8 win over the Dolphins.
New England's entire passing game was a disappointment because the Patriots went with a run-heavy approach against Miami, and it worked. Aaron Dobson led the team in catches (4) and yards (60). Amendola didn't appear limited; he was a staple in three-receiver packages along with Julian Edelman and Dobson. Consider Amendola a WR2/3 when the Pats take on the Steelers in Week 9.

Sun Oct 27 201311:32Amendola officially playing against Dolphins
Danny Amendola is active for Week 8 against the Dolphins.
The big inactive for the Patriots is top CB Aqib Talib, whose recovery from a strained hip flexor has gone more slowly than expected. New England's other Week 8 inactives are WR Josh Boyce, LB Steve Beauharnais, DE Jake Bequette, OG Chris Barker, RB/KR Leon Washington, and injured DT Tommy Kelly.

Fri Oct 25 201314:22D. Amendola has passed all concussion tests
ESPN Boston confirms Danny Amendola has passed all of the concussion tests necessary for him to return to the field.
The final decision on whether Amendola will play against Miami will be made by coach Bill Belichick. "I've done pretty much everything they've asked me to do," said Amendola. "I'm healthy and I'm ready to play." Our best guess is that Amendola will face the Fins, but there won't be confirmation until Sunday morning. He's listed as "limited/questionable" on the injury report.

Fri Oct 25 201313:08Amendola (concussion) says he's 'ready to go'
Danny Amendola (questionable, concussion) told reporters Friday he's "ready to go" after passing "a battery of tests."
Amendola wouldn't outwardly commit to playing against the Dolphins, but all signs are pointing that way after he returned to practice Wednesday and participated each day this week. Rotoworld's Pat Daugherty has Amendola ranked as a high-end WR3 for Week 8. The Fins and Pats play in a 1PM ET game Sunday.

Fri Oct 25 201310:47Amendola (concussion) practices again Friday
Danny Amendola (concussion) was limited in Friday's practice.
That's three consecutive practices for Amendola, who could possibly return this week against the Dolphins if he passes the league's concussion protocol. We'll likely find out his game day status Friday afternoon or Saturday. Amendola is currently slotted in as Rotoworld's No. 25 receiver play for Week 8.

Thu Oct 24 201310:35Amendola practicing for second straight day
Danny Amendola (concussion) is practicing again Thursday.
Amendola's participation in back-to-back days confirms he's not feeling any lingering symptoms. If he can pass a final test from an independent neurologist, he'll be back for Sunday's 1pm ET game against the Dolphins. Amendola is an immediate threat for 8-10 targets from Tom Brady, making him a WR2 candidate in PPR formats.

Wed Oct 23 201310:39Danny Amendola (concussion) back at practice
Danny Amendola (concussion) is practicing Wednesday.
It confirms Amendola has at least been cleared for exercise following his scary Week 6 concussion and puts him on track to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He just has to get through the week without symptoms and get the final go-ahead from an independent neurologist. Amendola's struggles with injury have been well-documented, but he has the ability and situation to step right back in as a WR2. Despite playing just 147 snaps all season, he has 16 catches for 159 yards.

Mon Oct 21 201316:01Danny Amendola (concussion) 'doing well'
CSN New England reports Danny Amendola (concussion) is "doing well," but remains without a timetable for a return.
That's just because the Patriots don't release injury information. It's possible Amendola will be back for Week 8, but we're unlikely to get a real clue before Wednesday. Even then it's possible the Pats will engage in their usual injury report games, but there's less room for vagary with concussions. If Amendola gets in a limited session on Wednesday, it will be a very good sign.

Fri Oct 18 201316:33Danny Amendola ruled out for Week 7
Danny Amendola (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 7.
Fantasy owners should hang onto Amendola in hopes of second-half seasonal impact, but his availability is "week to week" dealing with the concussion.

Thu Oct 17 201310:38Danny Amendola, CB Talib miss practice again
Danny Amendola (concussion) and Aqib Talib (hip) are not practicing again Thursday.
The Patriots aren't going to give any details on the severity of Amendola's concussion because they're the Patriots. All we know is that he was knocked unconscious upon impact Sunday and appeared to be extremely dazed as he was helped to the locker room. It would be a major surprise if he gained medical clearance ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets. Talib, who is dealing with a reportedly minor hip flexor, has a better shot at suiting up.

Wed Oct 16 201316:22Amendola (concussion) a no-go on Wednesday
Danny Amendola (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
This confirms Amendola did indeed suffer a concussion in last Sunday's win over the Saints. The Patriots had previously been silent on the situation. They didn't reveal anything else Wednesday, unsurprisingly. It'd be a major surprise if Amendola played this week against the Jets. Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins, and Aaron Dobson will be Tom Brady's top three receivers in Week 7.

Wed Oct 16 201310:39Danny Amendola, Talib both out of practice
Danny Amendola (head) and Aqib Talib (hip) are not practicing Wednesday.
Amendola appeared to sustain a severe concussion as his body went limp following a hit from Saints safety Rafael Bush on Sunday. We'd be surprised if he gained medical clearance ahead of this week's game against the Jets. Amendola's laundry list of recent injuries does include a 2009 concussion. Look for Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson to be Tom Brady's top-three wideouts once again this week.

Tue Oct 15 201318:02Pats maintaining radio silence on Amendola
The Patriots have yet to update Danny Amendola's (likely concussion) status.
According to CSN New England's Tom Curran, the Pats have put the clampdown on leaks in wake of the Rob Gronkowski debacle, and it's resulted in nary a word on Amendola's status since he staggered off the field in Sunday's win. We're unlikely to get our first real update before Wednesday afternoon, where the Pats must release their first injury report of the week. Even then, vagary could remain the law of the land if Amendola is listed with a "head" injury.

Sun Oct 13 201318:39Danny Amendola knocked out in third quarter
Danny Amendola left Sunday's Week 6 game against the Saints in the third quarter with a head injury and will not return.
Amendola was trying to finish off an end-around by lowering his head into a defender on the sideline. He took the worst of it. Amendola appeared to be knocked unconscious before hitting the ground, as his body went limp and he dropped the football. He woozily walked to the locker room, getting held up by two trainers. This has the look of a serious concussion for the oft-injured Amendola. He had just two catches for zero yards before leaving.

Fri Oct 11 201317:11Danny Amendola limited/questionable again
Danny Amendola (groin, questionable) was limited in Friday's practice.
Amendola will play despite the questionable tag. Rotoworld's Pat Daugherty -- who ranks 4th among 125 fantasy experts on Fantasy Pros' accuracy scores through five weeks -- has Amendola as the No. 22 fantasy wideout for Week 6 against the Saints. Daugherty's full rankings are accessible at the link below.

Thu Oct 10 201316:54Danny Amendola (groin) limited on Thursday
Danny Amendola (groin) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Amendola escaped his Week 5 return without setbacks, and is expected to be full go for Sunday's game against the Saints. He's a high-upside WR2.

Mon Oct 7 201309:41Danny Amendola only played in 3-wide sets
Danny Amendola played 37 of his 38 snaps in three- or four-receiver packages Sunday.
The Patriots managed Amendola's snaps by keeping him out of one- and two-receiver packages. He ended up playing on 38-of-63 total snaps, finishing with four catches for 55 yards. As Amendola's groin gets closer to 100 percent, he'll be on the field more and produce at a more effective rate. He said he felt fine after Sunday's loss at Cincy, locking him in as a WR2 for Week 6 against the Saints.
