Mon Nov 25 201316:13LaVon Brazill expected to be fine
Coach Chuck Pagano expects LaVon Brazill to be "fine" after suffering a back contusion in Week 12 against Arizona.
Brazill was operating as Indianapolis' No. 3 receiver behind T.Y. Hilton and Darrius Heyward-Bey before getting hurt. He should resume that role in Week 13 against the Titans. Brazill had three catches for 35 yards in Week 12.

Sun Nov 24 201320:10Brazill catches three passes in loss to Cards
LaVon Brazill caught three passes for 35 yards in Week 12 against the Cardinals.
Brazill drew five targets on the day but appeared to be injured late in the fourth quarter with the Cardinals up big on the scoreboard. He didn't head to the locker room, so it may not be much of anything. The three grabs were a season-high, which tells you all you need to know about his fantasy prospects in re-draft formats. Brazill is definitely a guy to own in dynasty.

Fri Nov 15 201300:40LaVon Brazill supplants Heyward-Bey?
LaVon Brazill was held without a catch in Indianapolis' Week 11 win over the Titans, but came on twice for an ineffective Darrius Heyward-Bey.
It's unclear if Brazill outright replaced Heyward-Bey, but he came on for DHB after a mind-numbing second-quarter drop, and was running alongside T.Y. Hilton in two-wide sets to begin the second half. Either way, Brazill drew only one target, and has extremely little fantasy upside for re-draft purposes.

Sun Nov 10 201318:10LaVon Brazill has another one-catch day
LaVon Brazill caught one pass for 11 yards in Indianapolis' Week 10 loss to the Rams.
The one-catch effort was Brazill's second straight. Brazill actually drew five targets, but had trouble hooking up with Andrew Luck on an afternoon where the Colts' quarterback was inaccurate. Luck missed Brazill on a potential deep ball. Brazill isn't worth more than a speculative stash outside of 14-16 team leagues.

Mon Nov 4 201300:38LaVon Brazill plays minor role in Week 9
LaVon Brazill had one catch for nine yards in Sunday night's Week 9 win over the Texans.
Brazill played behind Griff Whalen, but was rotated in three-wide sets. He got the majority of his snaps after Darrius Heyward-Bey was forced form the game late in the fourth quarter. Despite being the No. 4 receiver, Brazill has more playmaking ability than Whalen and should push for an expanded role. He's still working his way back into the offense after missing the first four weeks to suspension.

Mon Oct 21 201315:28LaVon Brazill a 'wild card' for the Colts
ESPN Colts blogger Mike Wells considers second-year WR LaVon Brazill a "wild card" as the team attempts to replace Reggie Wayne's production.
Wells expects Darrius Heyward-Bey to become the Colts' nominal "No. 1 receiver," with T.Y. Hilton becoming an every-down player. Brazill recently returned from a four-game suspension to open the season, and could take over Hilton's old role as a situational deep threat. He's a deep league sleeper. The Colts could also add Griff Whalen or Da'Rick Rogers from the practice squad.

Mon Sep 30 201316:09LaVon Brazill's suspension is up
Colts WR LaVon Brazill's four game suspension is over.
Brazill failed multiple marijuana tests, resulting in the ban. A 24-year-old with explosive potential, Brazill flashed big-play ability on 11 grabs as a rookie and had intriguing game tape coming out of Ohio. He's another weapon in Andrew Luck's arsenal, behind Reggie Wayne, Coby Fleener, T.Y. Hilton, and Darrius Heyward-Bey. Brazill is worth rostering in deep Dynasty leagues.

Tue Jul 30 201311:31LaVon Brazill admits he has to ditch the pot
Suspended Colts WR LaVon Brazill admitted he has to decide between "money or marijuana."
Brazill was slapped with a four-game ban for multiple violations of the league's substance-abuse policy. He seems to understand he's on his last chance while competing for the No. 4 wideout job at camp.

Fri Jul 5 201309:38Marijuana triggered Brazill's suspension
The Indianapolis Star reports Colts WR LaVon Brazill's four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy was for testing positive for marijuana.
There are worse things to test positive for, but you have to fail multiple tests to get a four-game ban. Columnist Bob Kravitz believes the immaturity should cost Brazill his roster spot. Brazill's suspension is unlikely to cost him his spot in and of itself, but he'll have no room for error in camp. He's off the redraft-league radar.

Mon Jun 24 201322:12Suspended WR Brazill's roster spot at risk
The Indianapolis Star reports Colts WR LaVon Brazill's roster spot is "in jeopardy" following his four-game suspension.
Per beat writer Phillip B. Wilson, the Colts "already questioned Brazill's maturity and dedication" before today's news that the second-year receiver would miss the first four games of this season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. We don't know of any prior trouble from Brazill's college days, so perhaps his work ethic was questionable as a rookie. The Colts don't have a lot of promising talent at the bottom of the receiver depth chart, and it would be a bit surprising if they gave up on Brazill's long-term potential.

Mon Jun 24 201316:02Colts WR LaVon Brazill suspended four games
NFL suspended Colts WR LaVon Brazill four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
The Colts, as expected, will enter the season with Reggie Wayne, Darrius Heyward-Bey, and T.Y. Hilton as their top three receivers. A promising 2012 sixth-round pick out of Ohio, Brazill flashed vertical jets in limiting playing time as a rookie, averaging 16.9 yards on 11 receptions after a sterling preseason. He'll be eligible to return in Week 5. Brazill was not expected to make a big early-season impact, anyway, but he's someone to monitor long term.

Thu Jun 6 201308:44Colts need LaVon Brazill to step up
The Colts have moved LaVon Brazill's locker so he sits next to Reggie Wayne.
Brazill had just 11 catches for 186 yards as a sixth-round rookie last year. He'll be the No. 4 wideout once again this season, but there's some Dynasty appeal here. Wayne will be 35 in November and Darrius Heyward-Bey is working on a one-year contract. The Colts want Brazill to make progress.

Thu Mar 21 201311:49Colts still in market for another WR
Owner Jim Irsay reiterated that the Colts still want to add a wide receiver.
The Colts currently have Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton as their top-two wideouts. They may be looking to upgrade on LaVon Brazill, who Irsay said "must develop a strong commitment to his craft." Hilton was the Colts' No. 3 wideout last year and he racked up a 50/861/7 line, so this is a situation to monitor.

Sun Nov 18 201220:39LaVon Brazill has two-catch night in loss
LaVon Brazill caught two passes for 46 yards in Indy's Week 11 loss to the Patriots.
Both of Brazill's grabs went for over 20 yards. He turned on the jets on his second, sprinting around the entire first line of defense before being forced out of bounds. With just eight catches on the year, however, he's still not on the fantasy radar, even with Donnie Avery (concussion) questionable for Week 12.

Sat Aug 25 201219:22Brazill works with second team vs. Redskins
Colts sixth-round WR LaVon Brazill caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Redskins.
Brazill did not see any action with the first-team offense, as the coaches wanted to take a long look at Donnie Avery and, to a lesser extent, Kris Adams. The speedy Brazill has totaled seven receptions for 81 yards this preseason. Avery remains on the roster bubble and his release could push Brazill into a starting job, especially if Austin Collie is unable to return from his concussion troubles.

Mon Aug 20 201211:58LaVon Brazill emerging as fantasy sleeper
Colts sixth-round pick LaVon Brazill has played extensively with the first-team offense through two preseason games, catching five balls for 63 yards.
Brittle-as-ever Donnie Avery has missed both preseason games, so Brazill was working as the Colts' third receiver until Austin Collie went down on Sunday night. Another concussion for Collie could threaten his season, so it's time to start taking Brazill seriously as a fantasy sleeper. Brazill ran 4.48 at 5-foot-11, 192 at February's Scouting Combine. A pre-draft favorite of Rotoworld college guru Josh Norris as well as Rookie Scouting Portfolio's Matt Waldman, Brazill has looked very smooth and pro-ready in August while clearly outplaying fellow rookie T.Y. Hilton. Andrew Luck is obviously ready to play in the league, and his receivers are going to be productive. Brazill could be a starter.

Tue Aug 7 201217:46WR Brazill listed as punt, kickoff returner
Sixth-round WR LaVon Brazill is listed as the first-team punt and kickoff returner on the Colts' first training camp depth chart.
It's somewhat surprising that Brazill is ahead of third-rounder T.Y. Hilton, who is considered a more explosive talent on returns. Brazill is also listed directly behind Reggie Wayne as a second-team receiver. He's drawn more buzz than Hilton early in camp.

Thu Aug 2 201214:51LaVon Brazill earning some first-team reps
Sixth-round rookie LaVon Brazill is already "gobbling up first-team reps" at Colts camp.
Reggie Wayne is locked in on one side, but the opposite receiver spot is wide open. The Colts are giving slot man Austin Collie, oft-injured Donnie Avery and Brazill a look. The Ohio product has 4.47 speed and fits naturally on the outside.
