Brent Celek managed just three catches for 31 yards versus the Cowboys in Week 10.
Celek was targeted on just two of Nick Foles' 32 pass attempts over nearly three quarters. He hasn't topped 50 yards since Week 4. Celek is purely a TE2 option versus the Redskins in Week 11.

Tue Nov 6 201201:10Celek loses fumble in loss to Saints
Brent Celek caught five passes for 47 yards in Philadelphia's Week 9 loss to the Saints.
Celek snagged five of his nine targets, but he also lost a critical second half fumble in the red zone to essentially end any hope of a comeback. It was a juicy matchup for the tight end against the Saints' woeful defense this week, but Celek couldn't answer with a touchdown. He'll be a high-end TE2 with borderline TE1 potential for the season's second half. Celek is on pace to catch 66 passes for 872 yards and just two touchdowns at the season's midway point.

Tue Oct 30 201209:47Brent Celek running plenty of routes
Brent Celek was only asked to block on five of 38 pass plays in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
Celek's 3/32/0 line on five targets wasn't a result of staying in to help King Dunlap and the Eagles' beleaguered offensive line. It was simply a case of Michael Vick looking elsewhere. It's a common theme for Celek, who has a total of 10 catches and 74 yards in his last three games. The good news is that he gets the Saints' woeful defense in Week 9.

Sun Oct 14 201218:13Celek blows a pair of scores in Week 6
Brent Celek was held to 33 yards on four receptions and eight targets versus the Lions in Week 6.
It could have been a monster fantasy day for Celek. He dropped one touchdown in tight coverage from Louis Delmas on a 15-play, 72-yard drive, and had another taken away on an iffy offensive pass interference call. Celek was hobbling late in the game, but has the bye week to rest up before facing the Falcons in Week 7.

Mon Oct 8 201208:57Brent Celek helped against Harrison
The Philadelphia Inquirer blames Brent Celek's slow day in Week 5 on expanded blocking duties.
Celek stayed in to help LT Demetress Bell deal with James Harrison. He ended up with just three catches for nine yards on five targets, but saved his fantasy day with a 2-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Celek and the Eagles face the Lions' fearsome front four in Week 6.

Sun Oct 7 201217:20Brent Celek finds end zone in Week 5
Brent Celek was held to nine yards on three receptions, but scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 5 at Pittsburgh.
Celek missed a pass thrown behind him in the red zone, but rebounded with a 2-yard touchdown a few plays later. He's averaged just three receptions for 34 yards since his 157-yard breakout game in Week 2. Celek is just a borderline TE1 option heading into Week 6 versus the Lions.

Mon Oct 1 201201:00Brent Celek goes for 4/57 vs. Giants
Brent Celek caught four passes for 57 yards in Philadelphia's Week 4 win over the Giants.
Celek drew five targets, and has now gone for at least four catches and 57 yards in three of the Eagles' first four games. After coming on strong late in 2011, Celek is on track for 72 catches and 1,260 receiving yards with 25 percent of the season in the books. His yardage pace should slow dramatically, but Celek is firmly back on the low-end TE1 radar.

Sun Sep 23 201219:49Celek held to 36 yards in Week 3
Brent Celek was held to two receptions on six targets for 36 yards versus the Cardinals in Week 3.
Celek suffered right along with the rest of the passing game against a bruising defense. Michael Vick hung him out to dry on two passes in a three-play stretch, leading to big hits over the middle. Look for a bounce-back game versus the Giants in Week 4.

Sun Sep 9 201219:44Brent Celek shows up late in win
Brent Celek caught four passes for 65 yards in the Eagles' Week 1 win over the Browns.
Celek made one of the plays of the game deep in the fourth quarter as he dragged Browns defenders for 17 yards down to the 3-yard line, setting up the game-winning touchdown. The burly tight end was targeted eight times on the day while "move" tight end Clay Harbor saw six targets. Still, Celek is really the fourth option in the passing game behind Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy. He's just a TE2.

Mon Aug 6 201218:07Celek won't suit up Thursday
Brent Celek (sprained MCL) doesn't expect to play in Thursday's preseason opener.
Celek returned to practice on Saturday following a nine-day absence, but Philadelphia has every reason to exercise caution with its No. 1 tight end. Celek might not suit up until the Eagles' third preseason game, which is traditionally the biggest dress rehearsal for the regular season.

Brent Celek (sprained MCL) will return to Eagles practice Saturday.
Celek ended up missing nine days of practice as the Eagles erred on the side of caution. Celek is unlikely to suit up for Thursday's preseason opener, but the injury shouldn't be a concern going forward.

Wed Aug 1 201210:27Brent Celek not ready to cut yet
Brent Celek is not ready to cut on his sprained MCL just yet.
Celek was working out on the side of Wednesday's practice, just six days after sustaining the sprain. It confirms that this isn't anything for the Eagles or fantasy owners to worry about. The regular season is still five weeks away.

Fri Jul 27 201209:35Brent Celek merely day to day
The Eagles confirmed that Brent Celek sustained a mild MCL sprain Thursday.
Celek is merely day to day. It's the kind of injury that he might be able to play through if this were the regular season. Coach Andy Reid said that free agent TE Jeremy Shockey is not an option for the Eagles right now.

Tue Jul 24 201209:24Brent Celek says his feels 'great'
Brent Celek says his surgically-repaired left hip feels "great."
The Eagles are kicking the tires on free agent TEs Visanthe Shiancoe and Jeremy Shockey, but it appears to have more to do with wanting to upgrade behind Celek than concern about his health. The Sideline View's Adam Caplan - a trusted Eagles observer - opined earlier this month that Celek looked "all the way back" from his hip and hernia surgeries.

Fri Jul 6 201212:16Brent Celek looked fully recovered in spring
The Sideline View's Adam Caplan thought Brent Celek looked "all the way back" from his surgeries during offseason workouts.
Celek underwent hip and hernia surgeries shortly after the 2011 season. Per Caplan, the rugged tight end now looks more fluid getting off the line. Celek posted 811 yards and five touchdowns while laboring through the injuries last season.

Wed Jun 6 201211:50Brent Celek yet to miss an OTA session
Brent Celek (hip and hernia surgeries) hasn't skipped a single OTA session this offseason.
We've come to expect nothing less. Celek hasn't missed a game since entering the league despite playing through a string of nagging injuries. Celek isn't yet practicing at full speed, but there's no reason to believe he will be less than 100 percent by Week 1.

Tue May 22 201212:03Brent Celek looks good at OTAs
Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) "(didn't) look that limited" at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday.
The Eagles have been mum on Celek's status other than revealing he will see "limited reps" in June's minicamp, but it sounds like earlier concerns about his recovery were overblown. Celek recently proclaimed that he "felt better than I have probably in the last three of four years," and should be at or near 100 percent for camp.

Thu May 17 201216:21Celek feels better than he has 3-4 years
Brent Celek said he feels "better than I have probably in the last three of four years" after undergoing post-season shoulder and hernia surgeries.
"I'm super-excited -- I'm excited to show what I can do," added Celek, who provided no timetable for his full return. The Eagles do expect Celek to see limited reps in mandatory June minicamp, though his status for the start of training camp is still uncertain.

Mon May 14 201211:57Celek will see 'limited reps' in minicamp
Coach Andy Reid says Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) will see "limited reps" in the Eagles' mandatory June minicamp.
It's the first quasi-update the Eagles have given on Celek's status since his twin January operations. Seeing as Celek will be "limited" in June, it's quite possible he won't be 100 percent for the beginning of camp. Tread lightly if you're considering Celek as a low-end TE1 in an early fantasy draft.
