Harbor (calf) intends to run Tuesday with the expectation of returning to practice Wednesday, the Jaguars' official site reports. "It's getting better," he said. "It's not 100 percent, but I think it's getting to the point where I can do some explosive stuff."
Marcedes Lewis' high ankle sprain will hold him out 6-to-8 weeks, leaving a void at tight end in Jacksonville. If Harbor can fend off the strained calf that has kept him off the field since July 28, he's the prime TE option to factor into the passing game. Although he's never been targeted more than 40 times in his four NFL campaigns, he's coming off a season in which he hauled in 24 catches (on 35 targets) for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Assuming active status is achieved Sunday versus the Colts, his looks should experience a modest uptick.

Harbor (calf) did not practice Friday and will not play Sunday against the Redskins.
Harbor will sit out for the second straight week, which again leaves Mickey Shuler as the backup to Marcedes Lewis, who is currently listed as probable but was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday.
Fri Sep 5 201415:38Harbor (calf) did not practice Friday and ruled out for Week 1
Harbor (calf) did not practice Friday and was ruled out for Week 1, the team's official site reports.
Harbor didn't practice at all this week because of a calf injury dating back to late July. He wouldn't serve much fantasy value even if he did take the field Sunday, but now he will serve none as he will be in street clothes. Mickey Shuler will back up Marcedes Lewis on Sunday against the Eagles.

Wed Jul 30 201411:23Harbor (calf) will be sidelined for about month
Harbor (calf) will be sidelined for about a month, the Florida Times-Union reports.
While the timetable sets the stage for Harbor to miss the entire preseason, the report suggests that he could be back in time for the start of the regular season opener on Sept. 7. Harbor's absence leaves the Jags thin on tight end experience behind Marcedes Lewis, with the likes of Brandon Barden, Marcel Jensen, Reggie Jordan and D.J. Tialavea now jostling for backup slotting.
Wed Jul 30 201410:31Clay Harbor (calf) out for about a month
Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (calf) will be sidelined for the next month.
Harbor strained his calf earlier this week and will miss most of training camp. His roster spot is likely safe due to a complete lack of depth behind Marcedes Lewis.

Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (ankle) has been fully cleared and has been a full participant in OTAs.
Harbor broke his right ankle in the season finale and was medically cleared a couple weeks ago. Re-signed to a two-year, $3 million deal in March, catch-first tight end Harbor has the upper hand on the No. 2 job behind starter Marcedes Lewis. Harbor caught 24 passes in 16 games last season.

Thu Mar 6 201413:09Jags bring back TE Harbor on two-year deal
Jaguars re-signed TE Clay Harbor to a two-year contract.
The former Eagle appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars last season, catching 24 passes for 292 yards and two scores. He broke his right leg in Week 17, but should be ready for OTAs. Harbor is a catch-first tight end, but the presence of Marcedes Lewis keeps his fantasy upside at zero.

Sun Sep 15 201320:27Clay Harbor has 3/34/1 afternoon
Clay Harbor caught three passes for 34 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville's Week 2 loss to the Raiders.
Ahead of Allen Reisner on the depth chart in Marcedes Lewis' (calf) absence, Harbor's score is the Jaguars' only touchdown of the season to date. It could easily end up his last of the year. He's not on the fantasy radar.

Sun Sep 1 201313:30Ex-Eagles TE Harbor docks in Jacksonville
Jaguars claimed TE Clay Harbor off waivers from the Eagles.
Along with D.J. Williams, Harbor is the second tight end the Jaguars have claimed this weekend. A 2010 fourth-rounder, Harbor has talent to spare, but has been thwarted by a shaky pair of hands. He's also a poor route runner. Harbor spent time at receiver this summer, and could get a look there in Jacksonville. He's not going to open the season with a role on offense.

Sat Aug 31 201313:41Eagles cut ties with hybrid WR/TE Clay Harbor
Eagles waived TE Clay Harbor.
Harbor received plenty of looks at receiver this preseason but didn't show enough consistency. He caught four balls for 64 yards in exhibition play. Harbor has a ton of talent, but untimely drops did him in. The former fourth-rounder has 47 catches for 421 yards and four touchdowns through three seasons. Harbor has one year left on his rookie deal. He could get a look on the waiver wire.

Tue Aug 13 201312:05Clay Harbor moving to WR full time
Clay Harbor confirmed he's been moved to wide receiver.
Harbor was buried as the fourth-string tight end. With the Eagles now desperate at wideout, they'll give the 6'3/250-pounder a shot at lining up out wide. We wouldn't expect much success. Although Harbor has good athleticism, he's extremely limited as a route-runner. Harbor has just 47 catches for 421 yards with four touchdowns in his three-year career.

Mon Aug 12 201309:13Clay Harbor seeing time at receiver
Eagles TE Clay Harbor lined up at receiver in Sunday's practice.
It at least makes more sense than Harbor at linebacker. Harbor is buried on the tight end depth chart, while the Eagles are short on healthy wideouts. In theory, it could boost Harbor's chances of keeping his roster spot, but that ship has likely sailed regardless.
