Thu Sep 9 202112:43Edmundo Sosa Not In Thursday's Lineup
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Edmundo Sosa is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to MLB.com. Sosa, who has been getting the majority of the playing time at short recently, has slashed .282/.357/.403 with five home runs and four stolen bases in 98 games. He's a good player to roster in OBP leagues, but other than that, he can be ignored. Paul DeJong will take his spot at shortstop and bat seventh. It's been another disappointing year for DeJong, who is hitting just .198 but does have 16 HRs and three stolen bases across 97 games. Fantasy managers can stream him in deep leagues in hopes that will put one over the fence.

Sun Aug 29 202103:53Edmundo Sosa Has The Game Of His Life On Saturday
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Edmundo Sosa had the best game of his big league career on Saturday in a 13-0 blowout win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sosa, getting the start at shortstop and batting seventh in the order, went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and five RBI. Sosa hit two triples and two singles, improving his batting average to .276 and his OPS to .756. He doesn't start every day, but he's proven to be more than capable of holding his own when he finds himself in the lineup. He could make for a cheap but potentially solid DFS option whenever he gets a start.
