Sun Nov 21 201017:41Felton picks up extra carries in loss
Lions FB Jerome Felton rushed four times for 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
With Jahvid Best (toes) hobbles, Felton picked up work as a tailback. If Best takes time off, Felton would serve as a change-of-pace option and goal-line back behind Maurice Morris.
Sun Aug 8 201015:21Jerome Felton getting increased reps
MLive.com's Tom Kowalski confirms that FB Jerome Felton is getting more reps as a ball carrier in Lions camp.
Felton looks to be the favorite for short-yardage duties, an area in which Jahvid Best and Kevin Smith don't project to excel. Consider Felton a decent flier in touchdown-only leagues. He could lead the team in goal-line carries.

Wed Jul 7 201012:26Felton switching to tailback for Lions?
The Lions have begun to give FB Jerome Felton more reps at the tailback position.
Tight ends are now filling fullback and H-back duties, so the Lions are serious about the switch. Felton, a TD machine in college, could emerge in the LenDale White role inside the 5-yard line to save wear and tear on smallish feature back Jahvid Best. It's a situation to monitor in August.

Tue Jun 29 201010:43Jerome Felton to become goal-line back?
The Detroit News suggests that FB Jerome Felton could be used in a short-yardage role this season.
The idea makes some sense, as Felton was a touchdown machine in college and can push the pile at 247 pounds. Jahvid Best doesn't project as a great goal-line or short-yardage back. Still, we've heard this speculation about Felton before, and he has just 17 carries in two years on the Lions' roster.

Mon Apr 5 201009:45Felton wants more carries?
Lions FB Jerome Felton is hoping he gets an opportunity to carry the ball more this season.
Felton scored 63 rushing touchdowns while at Furman, but has just 17 carries in two seasons with the Lions. He's the only fullback on Detroit's roster right now and the Lions are desperate for ball-carriers, but Felton doesn't have much upside. He'd be a short-yardage option at best.
