Sun Oct 31 201021:20Steve Breaston has eight catches, 147 yards
Steve Breaston caught eight passes for 147 yards in the Cardinals' Week 8 loss to the Buccaneers.
The Cards were smart to make sure Breaston was 100 percent upon return, because he was a nightmare for the Bucs' secondary. Breaston did most of his damage on underneath routes, running well after the catch. We'd still hesitate to recommend him as a fantasy start against the Vikings in Week 9. Highly inconsistent, he's topped 41 yards in just two games this season.

Fri Oct 29 201018:07Steve Breaston limited Friday

Breaston is expected to resume starting against the Bucs, although a run-heavy game plan is likely from Arizona with an undrafted rookie quarterback coming off a concussion under center. Breaston isn't a fantasy option.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that Steve Breaston (knee) will return to game action this week.
Breaston will start opposite Larry Fitzgerald, giving Max Hall a much-needed boost. Andre Roberts will head back to the fourth receiver role. Outside of Fitz, all Cardinals receivers belong on fantasy benches.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that the wet conditions at Qwest Field in Seattle was the reason that Steve Breaston (knee) wasn't active in Week 7.
Breaston was limited in practice all week leading up to the game but was looking like a "go" against the Seahawks. Expect him to suit up in Week 8 against the Bucs, pushing Andre Roberts back to a reserve role.

The Arizona Republic's Kent Somers says that Wednesday will be the key day for Steve Breaston (meniscus surgery) and Early Doucet (sports hernia) to determine if they can return in Week 7.
Both players have been eying Week 7 for their return, and we anticipate them being on the field against the Seahawks. We'll have a much better idea on Wednesday as to their statuses, though.

Sun Oct 3 201014:53Cardinals declare Week 4 inactives
Cardinals declared WR Steve Breaston, WR Early Doucet, NT Dan Williams, QB John Skelton, S Hamza Abdullah, CB Brandon McDonald, C Ben Claxton, and LB Alex Hall inactive for Week 4 at San Diego.

Thu Sep 30 201011:40Whiz won't rule out Breaston for Week 5
Coach Ken Whisenhunt would not rule Steve Breaston (meniscus surgery) out for Week 5.
Whisenhunt wishes Breaston would be back next week. He just had his procedure on Tuesday and will need at least two weeks of rehab. With the Cardinals facing a Week 6 bye, the timing is perfect for Breaston to return after that.

Tue Sep 28 201017:27Cardinals targeting Week 7 Breaston return
The Cardinals are reportedly targeting a Week 7 return for Steve Breaston (meniscus surgery).
The Cardinals have a Week 6 bye, so they're hoping Breaston misses just two games. Players have been known to struggle in their return from meniscus procedures, so Breaston isn't a good bet to help the team before November. Considering bye week issues over the next few weeks, Breaston is droppable in 10- and 12-team leagues.
