Wed Oct 20 201017:07Legedu Naanee misses practice Wednesday
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (hamstring) missed Wednesday's practice.
Mathews was spotted running on a side field, however, and reportedly looked good. He'll probably try to get in some practice reps by Thursday or Friday at the latest. The Chargers will play Week 7 without No. 1 receiver Malcom Floyd.

Tue Oct 19 201012:32Naanee will attempt to practice this week
Legedu Naanee (hamstring) will try to resume practicing this week.
Naanee didn't practice all last week and sat out in Week 6. With Malcom Floyd not expected to play and Antonio Gates possibly out, the Chargers are hoping Naanee can go through practice without any problems.

Sun Oct 17 201011:58Naanee inactive, as expected
Legedu Naanee (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Naanee should have already been dropped in almost all formats. Patrick Crayton and Buster Davis will fill in but are unreliable fantasy plays. Other Chargers inactives: Third QB J.T. O'Sullivan, T Adam Terry, DE Vaughn Martin, NT Ogembi Nwagbuo LB Larry English, LB Brandon Siler and S Darrell Stuckey.
Fri Oct 15 201014:01Naanee misses Friday's practice
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (hamstring) missed Friday's practice and is not expected to play in Week 6.
Patrick Crayton and Craig "Buster" Davis are candidates to pick up the slack at St. Louis. Either way, Malcom Floyd remains the only Chargers wideout worth playing in fantasy leagues. Antonio Gates will also be leaned on heavily.

Thu Oct 14 201017:02Naanee misses second straight practice
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday.
It's not looking good for Naanee, who was pulled from last week's game with the hamstring injury. He won't be fantasy option this week even if he does suit up.

Mon Oct 11 201022:59Naanee (hamstring) says he feels fine
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (hamstring) said he would be "fine" and was walking better on Monday.
Naanee apparently felt a twinge in his hamstring in the first half of Sunday's game against the Raiders and did not return. He can be safely dropped, as the team is having him focus on blocking.

Mon Oct 11 201000:22Naanee leaves with hamstring injury
Legedu Naanee left Sunday's game with a first-half hamstring injury and did not return.

Sun Oct 10 201020:16Nannee goes without a catch
Legedu Naanee did not catch a pass in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
Naanee is now a strict blocker while Buster Davis and Patrick Crayton run the secondary pass routes. It's safe to drop Naanee in all formats.
Sun Sep 26 201022:31WR Naane grabs four balls in Week 3 loss
WR Legedu Naanee caught four balls for 53 yards, rushed twice for -2 yards, and converted a game-tying two-point conversion in the fourth quarter of the Chargers' Week 3 defeat to the Seahawks.
Naanee also lost a first quarter fumble. The physical wideout teased fantasy owners with a 100-yard receiving game in Week 1, but hasn't had a strong follow-up performance yet. Considering Philip Rivers completed 29 passes for 455 yards against Seattle, Naanee's owners have to be disappointed he didn't get a bigger piece of the action.

Sun Sep 19 201022:25Naanee disappoints with one catch in Week 2
WR Legedu Naanee caught just one ball for 14 yards in the Chargers' Week 2 win over Jacksonville.
Naanee finished with more tackles (two) than catches against Jacksonville's lackluster secondary. After an impressive-but-fluky Week 1, Naanee has proven that although he is arguably more talented than fellow Charger wideout Malcolm Floyd, he is not an every-week starter.
Tue Sep 14 201001:32Naanee has big Week 1
Legedu Naanee caught five balls for 110 yards and a touchdown in San Diego's Week 1 loss to Kansas City.
Naanee would've had just four catches for a scoreless 51 yards had the Chiefs not completely blown a third-quarter coverage for his easy 59-yard TD bomb, but it was a promising effort against an underrated secondary nonetheless. Don't expect Naanee to be a true breakout 2010 player, but Patrick Crayton (0 catches) clearly is no threat to his snaps. Feel free to use Naanee as a WR3 against a weak Jacksonville pass defense in Week 2.
Thu Aug 19 201013:26Naane drawing rave reviews on upside
Legedu Naanee's potential is "almost limitless," according to beat writer Kevin Acee.
Naanee is the heavy favorite to be the Chargers' No. 2 receiver, but he's also the fourth option (at best) in the offense as Acee points out. Still, Naanee's talent needs to be recognized. He's a worth late-round flier in re-draft leagues and gets a boost in PPR formats.

Sun Aug 15 201001:46Naanee hauls in touchdown from Rivers
Legedu Naanee caught Philip Rivers' only touchdown, a 28-yarder, in Saturday's preseason opener.
Malcom Floyd was supposed to be Rivers' favorite down-field target with Vincent Jackson absent, but Naanee was targeted three times on Rivers' three drives. Buster Davis, expected to push Naanee for the early-season No. 2 job, left with yet another injury -- this time a hip pointer.
Wed Aug 11 201018:51Naanee projected to start in San Diego
The Chargers' initial preseason depth chart confirms that Legedu Naanee is the team's projected starting flanker.
It's barely even a competition with Craig Davis at this point. Naanee will be a third option in the passing game behind Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd, but arguably has the best hands on the team. He's worth a flier in PPR drafts.

Tue Aug 10 201012:25Nanee back at practice Monday
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (groin) returned to practice Monday.
The wideout missed a week with a groin ailment. Although he was able to participate in team drills, he did so in limited fashion. Naanee is competing for a starting spot while Vincent Jackson is away.

Sat Jul 31 201017:42Naanee to top 40 catches this season?
The San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee predicts WR Legedu Naanee will top 40 catches this season.
Acee doesn't give much of an explanation, but the prediction suggests he believes Vincent Jackson will miss more than three games this season. Naanee established a career high with 24 catches last year. He has a chance to double that if Jackson stays away until mid-season.

Tue Jul 27 201010:02Naanee has to hold off Craig Davis
The San Diego Union-Tribune confirms that Legedu Naanee will have to hold off Craig "Buster" Davis to be the Chargers' starting wideout opposite Malcom Floyd during Vincent Jackson's suspension and/or holdout.
At least in theory, Davis is more explosive, while Naanee is more reliable and has a better understanding of the scheme. Naanee also can play the slot and split end, which will allow the Chargers to consistently use three-wideout sets. Naanee beat out Davis last year and should do the same this year.

Mon Jul 26 201017:36Naanee reports to training camp early
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee reported to training camp early Monday after missing all spring practices with a foot injury.
Naanee's absence from pre-camp work was planned, and his recovery appears to be on schedule. The fourth-year receiver is slated to start at least the first three games of the season due to Vincent Jackson's suspension. V-Jax may hold out for much longer, so Naanee is worth a flier in all leagues.

Mon May 24 201013:40Naanee out until training camp
Chargers WR Legedu Naanee (foot surgery) is not expected to be available for any pre-training camp workouts.
The goal is to get him ready for camp. The NFL's leader in catch rate last year, Naanee is the favorite to again serve as San Diego's No. 3 receiver behind Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd. Naanee will be pushed by Craig Davis.
