Avant ends the regular season with a career-high 51 catches but the possession receiver is unlikely to ever have real fantasy value. He's a glue guy, not a playmaker.

He's a great on field player, but he's not going to see enough looks to be a consistent fantasy wideout.

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said he has "great confidence" in Jason Avant, who will be starting in the absence of DeSean Jackson.

Mornhinweg also noted that Avant will continue to work inside, running mainly underneath routes. He's a good all-around receiver for the Eagles but has little upside in fantasy. Jeremy Maclin will run all the deep routes.
