Mon Dec 19 2011 | 15:07 | Hawkins sees increased snaps in Week 15 |
Titans third receiver Lavelle Hawkins played 54-of-76 snaps in Week 15 compared to 75 for Damian Williams and 68 for Nate Washington. |
Hawkins' season-highs of eight catches and 88 yards were an aberration due as the Titans played from behind at Indy. Tennessee passed on a whopping 51 of Hawkins' 54 snaps, which won't happen again. Don't bother picking up Hawkins for Week 16. |

Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins dislocated his index finger in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. |

Lavelle Hawkins is generating buzz in Titans camp as a slot receiver. |
Hawkins, a 2009 fourth-round pick that flopped as a rookie, is built to play the slot at 5'11/190. Still, he's not going to see the field much barring injuries. Justin Gage is the slot man when the Titans go three-wide. |

Wed Jun 30 2010 | 10:36 | Hawkins continues to draw rave reviews |
Coach Jeff Fisher said that the "light has gone on" for third-year WR Lavelle Hawkins. |
Hawkins was a fourth-round pick in 2008 that has just 14 career catches in 23 games. He worked in front of Kenny Britt during offseason practices, but that obviously won't continue once Britt gets out of the doghouse. Hawkins will just try to hang on as the fourth receiver and be ready if injury strikes. |

Titans wide receivers coach Fred Graves said that Lavelle Hawkins has "made a tremendous jump" between last year and this year. |
Hawkins did manage to catch four balls against the Cardinals in Week 12 last season, but he'll be the fourth receiver at best heading into camp. He's not going to pass Nate Washington, Justin Gage or Kenny Britt no matter how well he plays. |
