Thu Dec 1 201123:44Vince Young picked four times in loss
Vince Young completed 17-of-29 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions and added five scrambles for 32 yards against the Seahawks in Week 13.
He now has eight picks in 12 quarters since Michael Vick went down. VY set the tone on the first play of the game with a brutal interception and put an end to the Eagles' comeback bid with a head-scratching 77-yard pick-six to MLB David Hawthorne. His other two interceptions, both targeting Riley Cooper, were hardly Young's fault. He didn't get much help from his receivers all night. With 10 days between games, Young is a good bet to head back to the bench in favor of Vick in Week 14.

Tue Nov 29 201113:41Vince Young on track to start again Thursday
Coach Andy Reid announced that Vince Young will take all of the snaps in Tuesday's practice.
While Michael Vick (ribs) has been cleared to throw on the side, he's been limited to lob passes to receivers on Tuesday. Reid noted that Vick has improved, but there's still pain when he "torques" his body to throw the ball. Young is in line to make a third consecutive start at Seattle Thursday night.

Sat Nov 26 201109:18Vince Young told he's starting vs. Patriots
CSN Philadelphia's Reuben Frank reports the Eagles have told Vince Young he will be starting against the Patriots.
Michael Vick (ribs) was officially listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, but it appears that was just a little bit of gamesmanship on the Eagles' behalf. Young will get the league's 32nd ranked pass defense one week after throwing for 258 yards against the Giants, and is Rotoworld's 11th ranked quarterback for Week 12.

Thu Nov 24 201110:04Vince Young headed for another start
Vince Young "seems likely" to start Sunday's game against the Patriots, according to beat writer Les Bowen.
Michael Vick (ribs) is looking like a longshot to be healed in time for Sunday. The Eagles certainly won't play him at much less than 100 percent after Young led them to a win in New York last week. With a dream matchup and some rust knocked off, Young can safely be penciled in as a low-end QB1 this week.

Sun Nov 20 201123:48VY atones for picks with monster final drive
Vince Young completed 23-of-36 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Giants.
Young had a quiet night on the ground, rushing six times for five yards. Young mostly struggled for the game's first three quarters, with two of his picks coming on badly under-thrown balls. He came alive in the fourth, however, capping an 18-play, 80-yard, 8:51 march with what would prove to be a game-winning, eight-yard touchdown to Riley Cooper. With his first-game jitters now out of the way, Young should be much better if called on to make another start against the Patriots' 32nd ranked pass defense in Week 12.

Thu Nov 17 201116:50Vince Young taking all of the first-team reps
Vince Young took all of the first-team reps in Thursday's practice.
Young's teammates fully expect him to start against the Giants. DeSean Jackson and pass rusher Jason Babin approached V.Y. in the locker room after practice to let him know "how good he looked" in the offense. Rotoworld ranks Young 13th among fantasy options for Week 11 against the Giants.

Wed Nov 16 201112:32Vince Young takes the first-team reps
Vince Young took almost all the first-team reps at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Andy Reid is trying to play it close to the vest, refusing to name a potential starter between Young and Mike Kafka. But he's only trying to keep the Giants guessing. Young will almost certainly start if Michael Vick (ribs) can't.

Tue Nov 15 201114:21Vince Young to start for Eagles in Week 11?
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane "can't see how" Michael Vick will get back from his two broken ribs in time to play against the Giants on Sunday.
The general consensus among the Eagles beat writers is that it's not worth the risk for Vick to try to suit up against the Giants. Coach Andy Reid isn't ruling out Vick just yet, but the tea leaves suggest Vince Young will make his first Eagles start in Week 11. V.Y. would be a top-15 fantasy option in Reid's pass-heavy offense.

Tue Oct 18 201110:20Vince Young was Raiders' fallback plan?
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Vince Young was the Raiders' fallback plan if they hadn't landed Carson Palmer.
It's likely a moot point now, but it's interesting to note that Young still garners interest around the league as a starter. He's set to become a free agent after this season.

Sun Oct 16 201118:30Vince Young gets in game, throws pick
Vince Young came on briefly for Michael Vick Sunday and went 0-for-1 with an interception.
In the third quarter, Vick got some dirt in his eyes and left the game for two plays. During that time, Young managed to embarrass himself with a ridiculous decision that resulted in a pick. It's one play, but it's not the kind of thing he wants to put on tape as he heads for free agency after the season.

Sat Oct 1 201113:44Vince Young back to second on depth chart
Fully recovered from his strained hamstring, Vince Young is expected to serve as Michael Vick's primary backup going forward.
Mike Kafka got the call when Vick was knocked out in Weeks 2 and 3, but Young is ready to resume the role he was signed for. If Vick ever requires an extended absence this season, Young would be worth a flier in all formats.

Mon Sep 26 201117:52Vince Young's hamstring no longer a problem
Eagles coach Andy Reid said on his radio show Monday evening that Vince Young's hamstring injury is no longer an issue.
V.Y. resumed practicing fully last week, so we didn't think it was a factor anymore, either. "He's back to where he should be able to play if he's called on," confirmed Reid. If Michael Vick (hand) misses Week 4, Young would be the tentative favorite to start against the 49ers. The other option is Mike Kafka, who threw two picks on seven attempts off the bench in Week 3.

Wed Sep 21 201118:35Vince Young resumes practicing
Vince Young (hamstring) has resumed practicing fully.
It could be a case of too little, too late for Young, as the consensus appears to be Mike Kafka will be under center this Sunday if Michael Vick (concussion) can't go. It could be a moot point, however, as Vick is tentatively expected to start just seven days after getting concussed.

Mon Sep 19 201112:22Vince Young not yet 100 percent
Coach Andy Reid said that Vince Young (hamstring) is still not 100 percent.
Young is close, but his injury has allowed Mike Kafka to challenge for the backup job. Although coach Andy Reid declined to name a starter if Michael Vick (concussion) sits in Week 3, there are whispers that Kafka would be the man.

Sun Sep 18 201119:07Vince Young again inactive
Eagles declared QB Vince Young, OT Winston Justice, DE Darryl Tapp, LB Akeem Jordan, SS Jaiquawn Jarrett, CB Curtis Marsh and G/C Julian Vandervelde inactive for Week 2 against the Falcons.
LT Jason Peters is active and presumably starting just two days after suffering an ankle/Achilles injury in practice. First-round pick RG Danny Watkins will make his NFL debut after being inactive in Week 1. Young (hamstring) was expected to give it a go tonight, but Mike Kafka will back up Michael Vick for the second straight week.

Fri Sep 16 201113:48Vince Young resumes practicing for Eagles
Eagles QB Vince Young (hamstring) has resumed practicing and is expected to be available for Week 2.
The Eagles have stated that Young will be Michael Vick's backup when he's available. V.Y. is healthy now, having made it through a full practice on Friday, and is worth picking up for Vick owners in 12-plus team leagues.

Mon Sep 12 201112:19Vince Young getting closer
Vince Young (hamstring) was able to run on Monday.
After listening to coach Andy Reid's Monday presser, CSN Philly's Reuben Frank said it "sounds like" Young will be available Sunday. He remains the clear handcuff to Michael Vick.

Fri Sep 9 201113:26Eagles list Vince Young as doubtful
Eagles backup QB Vince Young (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 1.
Young, who pulled the hamstring in the Eagles' preseason finale, was able to get in a limited amount of practice reps Friday, indicating he's on track to be available for the backup role in Week 2. Mike Kafka will hold the clipboard for Michael Vick in Week 1 against the Rams. Young will be the No. 3 QB for one week.

Wed Sep 7 201111:59Vince Young won't practice Wednesday
Vince Young (hamstring) will not practice Wednesday.
Coach Andy Reid didn't sound concerned, calling the strain routine and saying Young is day to day. While Mike Kafka may serve as Michael Vick's backup in Week 1, Young's injury is not a long-term concern.

Fri Sep 2 201114:01Vince Young has routine hamstring strain
A Friday MRI confirmed that Vince Young has a routine hamstring strain, and he is considered day to day.
V.Y. will likely take the weekend off and try to practice next Wednesday, the first official Wednesday practice before the season opener. If he isn't 100 percent, the Eagles might list Mike Kafka as their No. 2 QB for one game.
